Name: Tord BenkestokFaction: Vikings Age: 28Occupation: Viking Warrior/ Ship BuilderFive Primary Skills this character is best at: Axe Combat, Logging/Wood work, Ship/Boat Construction, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Ship Navigation/Ship HandlingThree Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Archery, Cooking, LiteracyBio(At least two paragraphs): Tord was the son of Trond Benkestok, a Viking ship builder. Though Trond never made the most prestigious or well known boats, Tord still thought the world of his Father and did all he could to learn from him. As Tord grew, he learned all he could about the Viking Naval ships, the ins-and-outs of how to build them and properly navigate them. On one faithful day however, Tord had been traveling alone in the woods, gathering more wood when a young man around his age came running past him. The boy had been Lars... a well known son of a Viking Warchief, and he had been running from a group of Aztec warriors and was already wounded. Lars pleaded with Tord to help him escape, but instead Tord hid himself and Lars inside of a nearby tree trunk. The Aztec ran by...never finding their Viking prey. Lars had been ashamed for running and hiding, but was greatful. Once Lars told his father of Tord's action, the Warchief immediately gave praise to the Benkestoks and made Trond into a Chief ship builder for many of the Viking Skalds. Tord continued with work under his father, helping him construct boats faster now that they had more work to do. Tord also built a close bond with Lars and they would train in the ways of Viking combat together. These sessions eventually turned Tord's interest away from just simple ship building to commanding a ship of his own and bringing glory to his people by way of combat. As of now, Tord fights and protects the Viking seas...adventuring along the way all in hopes of bringing more honor to his people, his father, and himself.

After accidentally deleting an almost finished sheet, let's try this again. And Hugo, if you want me to explain the skills, let me know. Name: Basho Faction: Shaolin Image Avatar:Age: 35 Occupation: Philosopher, Healer. Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Medicine Unarmed Combat Slight of Hand Diplomacy LiteracyThree Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Lying Hunting DrinkingBio:
Basho was something of a trouble making as a kid. He was never cruel or intentionally harmful, just bored. One of his favorite 'games' was to steal something from one of the monks, keep until they noticed, then try and return it without getting caught. Eventually the monks caught on, but were unsure how to properly discipline him. Basho was obvious capable, more so than many of his peers and there was no obvious reason for him to act out. One Monk, Kokan, realized it was his likely do to being bored and lacking challenges. So Kokan took Basho under his wing and began taking him on his pilgrimages. This gave Basho a new challenge, and he was able to focus his energy. He learned the art of diplomacy, he learned to read and write, he learned the history of the Shaolin; what he didn't know was that he was learning to replace Kokan. Not long after Basho reached age 24, Kokan died and Basho took over his role as the Shaolin healer. After 10 years of being a healer and philosopher, Basho never lost his sense of humor or rebellious streak. But, he has lost something. The monks are not aggressive in their beliefs, but in his travels Basho has encounter many from other factions who are. One missions where Basho and his students were accompanying a Crusader caravan through the Shaolin Jungle, Basho was faced with one such knight. This man spent the entire trip trying to convince Basho that there must be a creator, that creator must be God, and he protects those who serve him and carry his symbol. Basho did his best to listen and not argue. Eventually, the caravan is attacked by thieves and the monks are all killed, save for Basho. The knight had given Basho his shield, which had a cross painted on it's face. Likewise, every knight survives the attack, save for the one who gave up his shield. This moment affected Basho deeply. Alone, however, it was not be enough to convert him. But this moment, combined with a life time of meeting with people and groups from all over the world, was enough to lead him to the question, "Who's to say who knows the truth?" But he still has a duty to his homeland, so he continues to play the role of teacher and healer while at home - only voicing his doubt to his elders. When away from other monks, however, Basho is much more vocal about his agnostic views. He now devotes his life to finding his own truths.

Name: Kawaguchi Hiroto Faction: Samurai Age:25 Occupation: Buke (Nobility) Samurai Five Primary Skills: Swordsmanship Guile Hand-to-hand combat Diplomacy Philosophy Three Primary Weaknesses: Farming/Artisian Mechanics/engineering Trust Bio: Hiroto is the son of Kawaguchi Takeshi, head of the Kawaguchi clan. The Kawaguchi clan is a minor Buke (Noble Samurai family) and retainers of the older Fujimoto clan. Years ago, the new head of the Fujiwara clan, Hiroki, went of his first diplomatic mission to the Roman Empire. Seeing that he was young and inexperienced he brought the man he and his father trusted most; Takeshi. On the way back from the successful mission they were attacked by a band of Hassassin and Ninja. They successfully fought of the attackers but lost many in the process; one of which was Takeshi who had died protecting Hiroki. With his dying breath he asked the young Samurai lord to ensure his only son grew to be a honorable and capable samurai. Hiroki was a single child and so he treated the young Hiroto like a brother. He ensured he was educated in Bushido diplomacy by the greatest minds he could find; and trained in Kenjutsu and Itto-Ryu by the greatest swordsmen alive. Besides Hiroki's endeavors, Hiroto was also taught by his fathers advisers, Fen, an -Shaolin trained woman who served as his diplomatic counsel and broker of information. And Noboru, a Sohei (Battle Monk) who served as the Kawaguchi family's adviser of all things pertaining to the Shinto religion, Buddhism and war. Now at the age of of twenty-five; Hiroto is a rebellious yet inquisitive young man who loves intellectual and martial combat. Known to wander around the Shaolin and Shinto temples he is well liked by nobility and commoners alike and is often caught play fighting with children (both noble and common) or flirting with women who catch his eye. All in all Hiroto is eager to prove himself to his country, Hiroki and his family.

Name: Reiko Imahura Faction: Ninja Image Avatar: Ignore the fact that I just ripped that from a Zed image. Age: 24 Occupation: Student, perhaps soon-to-be exiled. Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Assassination Acrobatics Stealth Ninja weapons (traditionally trained with his own spin) Hand-to-Hand Three Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Blocking (he mostly relies on being faster, more nimble, etc. than his opponent) Group tactics (doesn't play well with others, basically) Taking hits (glass jaw-- it would only take a couple of good hits to knock him on his ass) Bio: Ten years is time enough. Time enough for mourning, even if it is not my own. Inexhaustible is the wait for my punishment to cease, yet I feel as though I deserve it-- but that feeling is decidedly not remorse. "I understand you still feel nothing but impatience concerning your... transgression?" Sensei asked, kneeling in front of me the same as I did him. " Hai; however, impatience is not the only result of my wait. I also feel what I can only describe as complete surrender in terms of my punishment." I glanced at the jury lining the walls of the dojo, seeing row after row of my peers staring at me with contempt. " Watashiwomite. Look at me. Think not of them," Sensei said calmly, reverting to his native Japanese only to get my attention. "Name a pertinent emotion you do not feel for the heinous murders you committed." This gave me pause, and I looked at the tea table between us for a long time, deep in thought. Evidently, Sensei found the time too pregnant a pause to let me think for long. His voice broke when he spoke. "Why my son?" My eyes met my master's, noting the droplets rolling down his face as I stood, maintaining my gaze. "I feel no sorrow for what I've done. Nor for you. In fact, the lone thought that has persevered over this decade is that I pity you for your humanity." Sensei nodded solemnly, dismissing me to leave, the tears of loss still carving paths down his cheeks.

Name: Sir William ScottFaction: CrusadersImage Avatar: Age: 41Occupation: Swordsmith (train upcoming knights)Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Sword fighting Tracking Strategizing Leadership HuntingThree Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Archery Farming BlacksmithBio: William grew up in Northern England. That made him have to grow up quick. The Saxons would routinely attempt to invade and that led to William being forced to learn how to fight at a young age. His father made him learn to use his mind as a weapon before he would allow him to use a sword. He was taught tactics and strategy by his father, who was a respected Templar before him. His father was a strict but fair man and William was raised to be the same. He had compassion for his fellow man that seemed to stem from all Templars. He was taught how to hunt at his young age because often his father would be gone on trips of days at a time and if he failed to return he wanted his son to be prepared.
As he became older he moved on, he married a girl from a nearby village and they had two children that he adored. He had become quite successful in his campaigns during the early years of the crusades. So much so that he had retired to a small village off the coast. When word spread of the attacks by the Muslims on Jerusalem, he was requested by the church to help his fellow Templars due to his skill and experience in leading. He kissed his family goodbye, telling them he would return like all the times before. He had know idea he would be taken away and brought to some foreign land...
