Room for one more? This should also get others involved/character crafting if they wish. :3 I'd say yes Now I need to think of a character!

Name: Dara MacPhaidein Faction: Highlanders (Clan MacPhaidein) Image Avatar: Lupine Companion: Airgead Age: 17 Occupation: Huntress/Diplomat Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Archery Hunting Athletics Kinesics Diplomacy Three Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Consoling others Literacy CQC Bio: The daughter of Odhran MacPhaidein, a ne'er-do-well member of Clan MacPhaidein. Of course, assurances were levied heavily by the elders in that her father hadn't always been so. He was -- had been -- a capable archer and warrior. Not among the finest. Not among the worst. He simply made the cut within the MacPhaidein ranks. The tease that came mercilessly was that the bowmanship talent skipped a generation. The tales of he, some tall and some true, invariably drew Dara's attention as the elders regaled. Such was her admiration for her father. Every member of Clan MacPhaidein had a few stories worth remembering, whether their worth be large or minuscule. Few embellished parodies of Odhran. One, for example, was that his best marksmanship nowadays was when he was in a drunken stupor. Even then, the improvement of his aim was only slightly marginal! Those, Dara paid little mind to for she knew better. One in particular involved her mother, Sigrid, and defined the woes that betided Odhran. Dara was a wee lassie, tiny and young when her mother was lost to her. That fateful day, Dara knew naught why she'd been taken. Bits and pieces of the circumstance were carefully gleaned through artful tales and stories. She remembered a trip with her parents, along with Scáth, her father's lupine hound, into a dense forest. Its whereabouts, the elders were wise to maintain a tight lip. The trip had been cut short, Dara recalled, with her being taken away by her father. The events that unfolded were hectic, with emotions running high. Her mother never returned. Neither did Scáth. The four embarked on an incursion into the forest, to set young Dara on her way to becoming a huntress. The wheel of fate turned, taking the little happy outing onward into a different direction. A direction of loss and sorrow. Deep into the forest, it was readily made apparent something was off. Wrong. They were not the hunters but prey in the domain of the hunters'. A massive, roving pack of raptors called the forest home. They met a terrible reception. One that claimed the lives of Sigrid and Scáth. Odhran was never the same after the incident, with the loss of his beloved wife and trusted companion. In his memory burned the visage of a bloodied raptor, its flesh clad in alabaster feathers with the skin tone to match. The alpha had slain two would be interlopers. Dara was spared this horrible image. Her mother had been a Viking warrioress, surprisingly wooed by her Highlander father. Dara was the result of this union, of their love. From her father's blood, she gained the burning red head her people were renowned for, alongside the talent for the bow and the hunt. From her mother Dara gained her Norse frame, grace, and accordant to Odhran, her sharp tongue. Dara's love for her mother endured since, despite her loss. She remembered little but what she remembered, she cherished greatly. She loved the tales Sigrid spoke of, instilled in her and reinforced by her father. Her love for fables burgeoned then. Tales not of her people but of the Vikings, such as a brave warrior delaying a horde atop a bridge and their beliefs in a glorious realm beyond their own. These stories remained fresh in her mind, alongside a many other. Today, with the guidance of Odhran and the memory of Sigrid, Dara MacPhaidein has blossomed into among the clan's fine archers and a finer woman. It was remarked she would do her mother proud were she alive. Her father carried an immutable sense of pride that bespoke a change in his mood. Dara noted he improved by the day. Despite her father's reputation, Odhran had always done good by her. Never mind the naysayers. Expectations were high for Dara. Of course, given she was a member of two worlds: her father's and her mother's. She acted in Clan MacPhaidein's stead as meditator and diplomat between the factions, brokering good will and relationships.

I didn't rip from anything. : |
Name: Nora Brynhildr
Faction: Vikings
Image Avatar:
Age: 19
Occupation: Former Sovereign heiress, now a warrior.
Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Hammer combat Hand to hand Fighting Weapon Forging/Maintenance Endurance running Swimming
Three Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Cooking Cleaning Manners
Bio(At least two paragraphs): Born a heir apparent of a reigning warlord, she was groomed from a young age to one day be the reigning queen of any successful and brutal warrior who won the right to be crowned king.
She hated it. She didn't want a life of cooking and cleaning and raising children far away from any action. She didn't want to be a molder of future great warriors. She wanted to be on the front lines, she wanted to be the great warrior herself. That was why as soon as she was old enough and capable enough, she ran. Years of secretly training honed her ability, long spent days running around camp after camp built her endurance. She knew she could be more than what had been decided for her.
So she punched destiny in the face and found herself estranged from her relations...nevertheless she was happier than she had been at almost any other time in her relatively short life. Yes, she was short and female and less experienced than most...but she was determined to prove herself so much, she made it clear with her weapon of choice. A giant warhammer bigger than herself. Whereas most Vikings used swords and axes, this would allow her to stand out on the battlefield.
No, she would not be able to claim kills from those men who did, but neither would they be able to claim hers. She would prove herself.

What exactly qualifies as a primary skill [to be horrible at]? From what I've seen so far--No offense-- literally anything can be a bad primary skill? Hypothetically speaking, I could make a character who is good at everything but bad at things nobody cares about, like handwriting, botany, or armpit farts? I just think three things that a person isn't good at is very vague.

I just think three things that a person isn't good at is very vague. I tried to look at possible situations that may come up and decide what might hinder my character. Hunting is one that can be used against me if I need to survive in the forest, track an animal, or track an enemy. Lying and telling half truths is a skill that's useful if he's dealing with enemies. Drinking, while it doesn't seem like it's very applicable, as a diplomat my character may be asked to share a drink, and him not being able to hold his liquor could be used against him. I also had a bit in his bio that made it more relevant but it didn't make it into the final draft. So. Basically. While it was open. I tired to consider different situations my character might be in.

Both Nova and Tom have the general idea. Its why I didn't implement any more intensive system for this. Because one, I trust all y'all and two I think I can trust you lot not to munchkin on me. Everything you're good and bad at will show up as I GM. Some in ways you may not expect. So stay tuned.

Name: Lie Reynard Faction: Shaolin Age: 19 Occupation: Shaolin Student, Medicine Man Five Primary Skills this character is best at: Chinese Medicine, Kung Fu, Stealth, Diplomacy, Cooking Three Primary Skills this character is horrible at: Stamina(He gets easily tired in prolonged events, due to his bodies illness as a child), Woodcraft, Weapons(He's never trained in any of them) Bio(At least two paragraphs): Lie Reynard is the son of a noble family of the Pearl, who in his youth was afflicted with a plague that killed many, though he managed to survive. Scarred in his lungs from the experience for life, he cannot raise his voice or go for particularly grueling endurance-related challenges without pain. He's well learned, polite and trained in the Shaolin Arts due to his education though he disappointed his family in deciding to become a doctor. He's young and relatively inexperienced, but his mind is keen and his manner is gentle.
