Tundra was happy that Strax was still drawing fire, but Emerald's outburst confused the hell out of Tundra.
"The hell was that for?" she asks, easily keeping pace since she was riding on a supercharge high. She was annoyed at whatever the heck Emerald was feeling, Tundra was the one having a bad day.

Emerald stopped and turned to Tundra. She looked Tundra dead in the eye and said, "I didn't 'pull anything like that' on you because I don't like pulling things like that." She didn't bother explaining further. She turned and continued walking. Her entire demeanor had changed. Where as before she had done her best to seem cheerful and friendly, even at sword point, now Emerald was tense and clearly annoyed.
Strax turned a corner. Suddenly voices could be heard. "Ah, nurse Strax," the Sontaran spoke, "What are you doing wondering the halls? Shouldn't you be with your patient?"
Emerald stopped, holding her sword at the ready in case things went wrong.
"Commander Strax," Strax corrected.
"Former commander Strax," the other Sontaran corrected.

"....umm, right then" tundra mutters, not really getting where that came from. Of course more Sontaran voices, quickly raised her hand while hiding near Emerald. She was trying to focus a flash freeze, keep it at the ready. She glances over to Emerald, hoping the two could divert the grunt before she needs to get involved, she just wanted out of there now without any trouble.

Emerald waited anxiously. If things went wrong, Strax could discover he's not actually under her control.
"Must I repeat the question?" The Sontaran asked, "What are you doing walking the halls?"
"I was on my way to search nourishment," Strax replied, "Now I may ask you the same question. What are you doing wondering the medical wing?"
"Standard patrol. As you know we are on high alert since discovering the Blue Box. I am in search of the intruder. Now, stand aside so that I may continue my patrol."
The two were silent for a moment, Emerald held her sword at the ready, not sure what to do next.

"....oh mierda" Tundra mutters. The patrol guard looked to be very capable of derailing the entire plan. This was exactly the kind of thing she was worried about. Though she didn't have the time to berate anyone. The guard didn't sound like he was going to be persuaded to go anywhere else. When things became too close for comfort, Tundra had learned sometimes you needed to get proactive regardless of the danger. Since even Emerald seemed at a loss, Tundra acted a flash.
"Freeze!" The wolf-girl steps from behind Strax and in sight of this guard. She waves out her hand and sues the stored up energy, hoping to flash freeze this chump like she did the others. Head to toe if it worked, so he couldn't say anything in shock and soon after wouldn't be able to move right. Tundra was tired of the slow route.

Emerald's first instinct was to try and stop Tundra. If her plan had failed their cover would have been blown. However, Emerald didn't react fast enough, and it was for the better she didn't. Tundra's flash freeze worked. The Sontaran officer was very quickly severely slowed.
This gave Emerald a chance to act. She stepped out beside Tundra and in a show of grace and agility she flipped into the air, placed her hand on the enemy Sontaran's head, and smashed her sword handle into the Sontaran's air vent at the back of his neck. The soldier lost consciousness instantly.
"Let's get going," Emerald said, landing on her feet and walking away. "Strax, go on ahead. And next time, if you see a lone Sontaran, don't bother with the small talk, take him down."

"....not bad" Tundra mutters, impressed by the acrobatic feat her skimpy friend just pulled off. Emerald's order to keep going didn't bother her in the slightest, they were fine for now but if the mook had backup close-by, Tundra didn't like their odds at two and a half vs the rest of the ship.
"So that neck trick seemed to work really well" the wolfgirl comments, trying to lighten the mood as they got back on track. The other option seemed to be engaging in a round of asking 'are we there yet' which might end with someone getting popped in the mouth so she just followed and hoped for the best.

Emerald nodded. She was still visibly angry or otherwise upset by something, but at that moment she made the choice to try and be pleasant. "It should, I learned it from the best. And while it seems like a glaring design flaw, it's actually brilliant when you stop and think about it. They're practically invincible otherwise so the way to get around the weakness is simple, they face their enemy. It's really only a problem against sneak attacks or in hand to hand combat with a skilled opponent." Even though Emerald dumped a lot of information, the fact that she spoke at a normal human pace made it clear she was still in less than the best mood.

Tundra didn't bother Emerald at this time, the last thing she needed was to piss her off at this time so she just listened to the explanation. Personally Tundra thought death or glory wasn't really her style, nor a particularly happy one. Though she had little love for these Sontarans.
"Well, I guess it's good luck we got those two things with us" she mutters, before charging up a second ice wave.

Things got quiet for the twp as they walked through the halls. And though it didn't take long for them to reach their destination, five minutes of silence seemed like an eternity with two people who's senses were so sharp and on high alert. Strax stopped in front of a door and pressed his three fingered hand against the switch. As it opened, Strax turned and soluted Emerald and Tundra. "We have arrived at the Sontaran Cafeteria. What are your next orders?" "Stay here," Emerald said, "Guard the door and don't let anyone in. Fight them if you have to." "Understood." Emerald walked ahead. Once both girls were inside, the door closed behind them. The room looked unbelievably like it was from Earth, complete with Earth brand name products With her back toward Tundra the entire time, Emerald walked to the table and placed her hands on it. And as hard as she tried to hide it, Tundra's enhanced senses would detect the tell tale signs that Emerald was trying not to sob.

"Wow..." Tundra mutters as the door shuts behind them. she didn't expect this at all. Though what she did expect was a futuristic version of some school cafeteria so maybe this was the less weird option. she quickly checks out the retro soda machine, seeing if there were any flavors she would like. Tundra didn't try ignoring the signs on purpose, but with her back to Emerald's as well it was her ears that picked things up first. That couldn't possibly be a good thing and Tundra felt she was the least likely person to handle any kind of consoling.
You did promise to be nicer... Tundra mutters, and after some working up to it Tundra turns around with a Pepsi. She knew better than to interrupt someone when they were in the middle of a breakdown, but they were in the middle of an enemy spaceship that'd happily dissect them both. she then gets a curious thought. Using her lupine nose, she ignored Emerald for the moment before sniffing around the lounge room for a very specific scent- a snickers bar.

Emerald stood there for unaware of the world around her for awhile while battling with the urge to break down. If the Doctor were here, things would be different. Things would be easy. Her job would be "run up that wall" "cut that rope" "use some magic" "hold that off". But here, she had to be the leader. She had to take charge, she was the expert here. Eventually, Emerald would win her internal battle - for the moment anyway. When she did, she noticed Tundra sniffing around. "Um, what are you doing?"
Tundra's nose would find her plenty of strange smells. Although the room was plenty familiar, the Sontarans were still aliens and their tastes hadn't changed since coming to Earth. If she tried hard enough, however, she'd pick up a chocolatey peanuty scent coming from the cabinets.

As Emerald asked Tundra what was wrong, she wasn't listening or otherwise aware Emerald snapped herself out of her stupor. Though while she was still busy focusing elsewhere again, this time was meant to be for Emerald's benefit.
Come on I'll settle for Reeses, she mutters, grabbing the cabinet that hid the scent. Without much warning, Emerald only sees Tundra abruptly fling open the doors.
"you better be in here!" she mutters aloud with little context before searching for that damn Snickers bar.

When Tundra opened the door and before she had time to look for anything, a flood of unpopped pop-corn came pouring out of the cabinet. It was enough to knock her off balance and cause her fall straight on her rump. As for Emerald, whatever remained of her self doubt was tossed aside in a fit of hysterical laughter. And while she couldn't control or stop her laughing, she went over to Tundra and extended a hand to try and help her up.

Tundra spit out a few kernels that got into her mouth as what just happened took a moment to hit her. she didn't expect it, that's for sure.
<...who the hell does that with popcorn?!> she growls in her native tongue, angrily cursing a few Spanish obscenities before realizing Emerald was reaching for her. She takes a deep breath before taking Emerald's hand.
"Thanks." she comments, trying to remain dignified. She wasn't in a mood to laugh at herself, but she didn't hold it against Emerald...cause it probably was pretty funny. "Ever see such a waste of good snacks?" she asks, before turning tot he cabinet again, searching for that chocolate bar.
