"Well...." Tundra sighs, her day was just getting worse by the second. To think, she almost skipped this one. Dhe about faces, grabbing Emerald by the hand and drahging her back to the autopsy room.
"Given that's the worst idea we've had yet, I know three 'Sontarans' iced up and poised to be questioned. Help me get the door open" she snarls.

When the she-wolf let go of her, Emerald rubbed her hand where. "Well, you're not wrong," she admitted, "About who we should be interrogating. My plan would have worked too," She protested.
Emerald put her hand on the door, as if she was going to do something magic. She was quite, focused, until she turned to Tundra and said, "You know, you could stand to be a bit nicer. I've been very pleasant all things considered, and you've just been snarly and knife throwy. You haven't even bothered to properly introduce yourself! Or should I just call you Ice-Wolf-Knife Throwy-Lady?"

Tundra responds with a great big sigh. She couldn't shake the idea that Emerald was right even if she wasn't appreciating the timing. Right now, she could hardly wait to punch something.
"Look, I'm sure this is Tuesday afternoon to you, and you're doing the best you can. Me though, not the type to exactly get a hard-on when someone waltzes in says 'hey, how ya doin? Run for your life!'. I'm sure I would be in a better mood if I wasn't nearly dissected." Tundra starts, but stops mid-rant. "I will say I'd be a brain in a jar without you...so thank you" she huffs. She was trying to be genuine but she really wanted to hit something. "Call me Tundra...it's a code name. Suppose your suggestion is more original".

Emerald smiled, she was half expecting a full blow shouting match. "Well, for what it's worth, I'm sorry for being so casual. I've had either the best, or worst, role model in that regard. I'm learning that it's not my style, at least not here."
Emerald took her hand off the door, realizing her idea wouldn't work due to one simple fact - she didn't know the word she needed. Emerald thought it best not to share that part just yet. She turned to Tundra and said, "But if we're going to at least pretend to try and get along, no more running off half-cocked for either of us. Say we do get this door open, and - hypothetically, the Sontarans on the other side are ready to kill us, what do we do?"

"I'm down for pretending till we see what happens from there." She answers quickly, unsure about getting along. Tundra was definitely up for making a plan though.
"Well worst case scenario, they're free. From the ice and more than happy to shoot us. We got your sword, this palo I still don't know how to work...I could try freezing em again if you give me a second or two" she suggests.

"Well, I'm still working out exactly how to get the door open," Emerald admitted. "I don't like to, but I could maybe create a small flame." Emerald said the word 'flame' in a very similar way to how Tundra had said the word 'dissected' before.
"Not sure if it would work, but it could maybe thaw the controls. So, we try that, and if it works, step two is to you?" Emerald asked, only to confirm that they had that much of a plan. And while she did hear the bit about needing a second, she figured she'd do one final confirmation before acting, "Do you need to do anything to get ready before I open the door? Or would a flash freeze type deal be possible right now?"

"The door...fire?" Tundra mumbles aloud. She didn't expect it, but her ears did pick up the inflection. Tundra didn't question it because she was busy thinking. Emerald had that part taken care of. She expected them to at least not expect the doors to open up, so she hoped that would give her the 'second or so' she needed to try and freeze them up a second time. Lightly nodding, she gives a thumbs up.
"Yeah, I can hit em, so long as they don't get there first with those blasters." she says confidently. "Just need the door....the door." she comments before she remembered something important. Before Emerald could work up whatever courage she needed, Tundra waves her hand over the frozen spots. "I'm good at reversing my ice, not much else but it's just...slowing molecules" she comments, and the ice should turn to water and mist.

Emerald nodded at her last comment, the sort of gesture you'd give when comparing notes with a colleague, "Yeah, I use the same basic method when freezing water. Everyone always thinks it's just about temperature!"
She left the ice conversation at that and said, "Alright I can back you up, get ready." She help up three fingers and counted down before opening the door. As soon as the Sontaranss were in view she spoke a magic word, "Moi!" And while the Sontaran's were trying to get over the initial surprise of the door opening, their blasters were hit with a force that sent them to one side. While the Sontarans didn't lose a grip on their weapons, the move would buy them at least half a second more.

For a girl who didn't know what a snickers bar, Tundra was surprised how much the girl knew. Still, it was probably just the whole mostly-naked thing, Tundra was a bit of a stickler for skimpy clothing given her childhood meant she wasn't a partier.
'Go!" Tunra whispers when Emerald hits one, she dashes off to the side, charging up her blast. That extra half second was plenty for 'Ice-Wolf-Knife Throwy-Lady'so when Emerald spoke her magic, Tundra let loose her attack the second she had a clear shot. Rather than a flash freeze she went a bit stronger, sending a frigid blast of cold to ice them in place for better 'interrogations' assuming she had nearly as much power as she thought she did.

Emerald smiled, more than satisfied with how well they had worked together there. The Sontarans were frozen solid, save for their heads - since interrogation would be pointless otherwise. However, there was a downside to allowing these enemies to talk. One that Strax illustrated perfectly when he said, "You will free us at once! If you comply your death will be instantaneous. If you chose to keep us trapped, then we shall free ourselves and kill your slowly for the glory of the Sontaran Empire!"
The other two played back up singer, chanting, "SONTAR-HA! SONTAR-HA! SONTAR-HA!"
"Oh we'll free you," Emerald said, "Provided you tell us what we want to know."
"Ha!" Strax said, "There is nothing two human boys can do to make a Sontaran General talk!"
"Maybe not, we'll just have to test that," Emerald said, "Beside, aren't you a nurse?" Strax's brown cheeks did something like blush and Emerald turned to Tundra, "Hey Ice-Wolf- Knife Throwy-Lady? Why don't you go ahead and show they why they should talk?" Emerald hoped Tundra understood her implied orders. To help, she gave Tundra a look that hopefully said, 'and you better not kill anyone.'

Tundra nods, she wouldn't kill them but trained soldier's tended to do a good job at resisting interrogation. Tundra had to feel this one out, and since Tundra did call her Ice-Wolf-Knife Throwy-Lady again, she thought it'd be fun to cash in on the idea. Focusing hard, Tundra produced a trio of ice daggers, simple but effective.
"Now then, just so you guys know I have know idea what I'm doing" she admits, because few things scared a professional more than a dangerous amateur. "So, unless you want to be embarrassed in addition to captured, tell us...where your food is" she demands, barely keeping up her composure. It wasn't the most dignified question.

The question took the alien soldiers by surprise. It took them more than a second to comprehend what their captures were asking. As soon as it clicked, the three Sontaran's reacted with laughter. "A ridiculous request and an empty threat!" Strax said, "What do presume to do? Kill us? Ha! We are Sontarans, we are cloned and breed to die in battle, we do not fear death. We welcome it!"
Emerald shook her head and looked at the warriors much like a disappointing parent, "Strax, you don't think we know that? You die in battle and you bring honor to your clone batch. But this isn't death on a battle field. If my friend over there uses you guys for target practice, it's an execution. You die a prisoner, not a warrior. Worse for you, die a prisoner and a nurse." Emerald let the threat hang there in the air, then looked to Tundra to see if she had anything to add.

Tundra didn't add anything, not verbally. She just fires away with the first knife. It hits Strax right between the eyes, lucky him it was handle first so he'd be fine aside from some pain.
"Oops" she casually comments as if it was an accident. "Should I try for a second go Emerald? We only need one to talk I think...that's how the cartels do it" she says grimly. Tundra looked fully ready to terminate her captors.

Tundra's act was so good, it made Emerald question weather or not she should work with her. But for now, Emerald had to trust her.
After a series of winches and shaking the effects off, Strax boldly stated, "You two can stop with the good constable bad constable routine that's so popular on Earth. It's not going to work."
"Hear that?" Emerald asked, "He thinks he figured us out. Go ahead and give it another shot."

"Another shot coming up" Tundra says before tossing the second blade at the Sontaran on the right. The blade connects. Luckily for the Sontaran, the blade glances off of the it's helmet, snapping in two and and clattering harmlessly. She let's half a second pass before chuckling.
"We should take off the helmets, eh Emerald?" She says, appearing way too confident about this.
