Seriously? Dean's expression was that of amusement as everyone took this so seriously, assiduously stating their names and occupations as if this were a dick-comparing competition. He guessed that with a crowd like Emerald's seemed to have assembled, it wasn't a surprise, but he sure as hell wasn't interested. He took long looks at all those assembled minus Sparda and Emerald-- he was plenty familiar with them. These other guys, though, he'd heard of a few. Wolverine? Spider-man? No way in hell was he going to pass up the opportunity to talk to them... at some point. Right now he'd look like a huge nerd if he tried that. Captain Marvelous was a bit flamboyant for his tastes, but damn did the man rock red. Another he could see was probably a bit too attached to eyeliner his his formative years... and maybe a few too many Dolph Lundgren movies. Also, he was a vampire, but after the things he'd seen Emerald do-- and she was, in his book, a witch-- he wasn't too concerned with her judgement. Not to say he didn't harbor any resentment for him existing, but as long as Spike didn't give him crap he wouldn't be taking a little off the top of that criminally bleached head. Ace's whole fire gun thing was kinda cheesy, but even then, the guy could control fire. That was more than most, he thought. Katie Marek was like the Girl Scout that already earned all the badges but still came back to shit talk the Brownies. Kasumi was clearly the group's rogue-- he'd seen a few DnD games at Charlie's Moondoor encampment and she fit the bill to the letter. Edward was a strange man, in his eyes. Not quite something he'd hunt but not someone he'd willingly associate with. Maybe he'd prove a worthy ally to have in the coming war. He reserved his judgments as Edward hadn't actually said anything as of yet. All the same, he took the opportunity to speak after Crocodile. " Well, my name's Dean Winchester. I hunt your everyday mooks-- demons, vampires," he eyed Spike, " werewolves, ghosts... standard baddies. Angels are kind of dicks but they're not usually the worst thing in the room. Thing is, we've got bigger problems than angels or demons-- we've got these Cult dicks trying to bring back their past-its-prime god. So I'd say, let's cut the crap and haul ass to the closest place we can stop 'em."

Fire Fist Ace? Well, he never expected that entirely, especially with flames coming off his body. It'd be a genuine lie if Logan'd said he'd been surprised by the revelation. You hafta remember, coming from where he does? There's little left to be surprised by when you've seen almost every bloody thing in over a century. Being old had its perks. Especially when you gotta navigate through social straits like these or mount an undertaking across the multiverse; it helped to put whatever came his way into perspective and gain an understanding in general. That wasn't always a bad thing, in fact, it's almost always helped him. Getting a handle on any given situation effectively made Wolverine dangerous in that regard. This was what probably played a key aspect in why he's levied the claim of being the best for himself at times.
It weren't just bloody murder Logan was supremely best at after all. He was extremely proficient at the matter believe you me but that ain't all he could do.
At least he could say he met a pirate. Again. Or interacted with someone that apparently operated like the Exiles. Or an adorable thief. Life was funny like that. He ignored the cat-fight that was ramping up to be an eventuality. Broads, always drama wherever they were.
"Hey Webhead." Wolverine returned the wave with his own customary gesture, a simple yet curt nod. He wasn't one to embellish himself in pleasantries like that too much, especially around people he didn't know. Maybe he'd have a nice homely chat with the boy after all this was said and done. It never hurt to keep in touch with off-on friends. "Yea, ask him anythin'. Spidey-Boy over there's good people, ya got my word on that. A good friend of mine too. One I'm fond of." A sniff followed as he burrowed his eyes into the people around Spidey before leveraging them for elsewhere, sauntering off to investigate briefly.
The last he said pointedly. Why? He trusted none of them and it made sense like that. Maybe it was just his recent experience with taking care of the kids at the Jean Grey School at a closer level that made him feel a bit protective. He'd always helped the X-Men, kept the kids safe. This time though it was just a lot more personal, given his elevated position of responsibility. Maybe it was cuz in his eyes Parker was still a kid. Being a hero wasn't all flowers and sunshine, it sucked the bag too at times. Which had a range of on occasion to regularly. He'd had plenty of experience there himself.
Needless to say, he'd be gladly self-sacrificial for his friends' benefits if it came down to it. It was just a matter of finding out if the other fine folk here merited that level of devotion.
Jeez, why did he hafta phrase it like that internally???
Anyway, he'd gone off wandering briefly. And found himself staring face to face with a crocodile, one of a surly sort. It composed of him glancing up and up, craning his head almost literally vertically now. Goddamn, this fella was tall. Even put Piotr to shame. "'Ey there big fella. I hope yer not lookin' at us like we're chump change, ploddin' along to yer tune. I know the type, that's why I'm gettin' in yer face now. Make a point, ya know? Take a moment to consider if ya pull anything, yer only going to have me on ya. Just somethin' to consider. Not a nice image now, is it?"
And to demonstrate he wasn't there just to be wholly hostile: he plucked one of his Cuban cigars and proffered it to the daunting man. An olive branch was the essence of the gesture. "Let's try ta be friends and get along. Keep it. I can tell ya like stoogies, from the look a ya." Rather like he'd smelled it. It paid to make a message and deliver something additional to appease the other, to ward off any provoked reaction. It wouldn't do well to have that here now anyhow; Emerald and Scales might've been mighty disappointed if that'd occurred.
Dean's words reached him though, fresh in his mind, prompting the Wolverine to turn away from Crocodile, glancing to the boy. He'd took a moment to make that soliloquy toward Croc fer a reason, one that should be fairly self-evident and self-explanatory. A smirk crept across his features, culminating in a chuckle. Already, he could tell he'd come to like this kid. And he wasn't the sort that was wet behind the ears. That was always a good thing.
Maybe he could come to like this group. Or at least some of its members.
Definitely not Edward though.

Most of the folks gathered here didn't really rub Ace the wrong way. Heck, he even thought he could have found some common ground with a few of them like Kasumi. Granted Ace didn't really take part in the whole plundering villages and ransacking goods that most pirates did. But he did participate in quite a lot of dine and dash. Which usually forced him to move from town to town to avoid being caught by the authorities to pay for his meals which often went up to fifty bowls and maybe even more. But that of course was just an excuse Ace liked to use to move from place to place more quickly. It let him get a head on more leads of the whereabouts of a certain rouge crewmate of his who had went out and made a name for himself. Called himself Blackbeard now after going by Marshall D. Teach for a time. Which amounted to being unoriginal on top of being a traitor and complete bastard. He'd killed a member of Whitebeard's crew and while the rest of the crew seemed content to just let Teach go off and do as he pleased as long as he didn't get in their way. Ace wasn't so easy to relax and let Teach off the hook so fast. He hunted him down wherever he went. Only stopping every now and then in a diner to catch some grub but that served a purpose as well. Diners and restaurants were always a good place for him to hear local gossip and rumors about any other pirates that may have strolled through the area. Once he heard a mention of Blackbeard's crew, he left without paying and continued on his search. He hadn't found Teach yet but when he did? He'd make him rue the day he turned his back on the crew that had taken him in as one of their own. The very crew that Ace would have gladly laid his life down for. But there was just one bad apple out of the bunch so far. It was the one who spoke with the sort of tone in his voice that indicated he saw himself as more important than was actually warranted. Ace hadn't met him in person as far as he knew. Whitebeard had heard of him and thought of him as nothing more than an uppity pest who's delusions of grandeur would have gotten him into a fight he couldn't win. But Ace knew him more as the guy who had attempted to kill his little brother and his crew mates back in Alabasta. Ace had swung by there briefly while traveling and had prevented Captain Smoker from capturing his brother. It was only much later that he heard of how Smoker had defeated Crocodile who had gone rouge and ran an unde rground criminal organization in the Kingdom of Alabasta. But Ace had enough encounters with the Marines under his belt to know white-washing when he saw it. He had faith in his little brother's ability and so he knew this had just been another cover up by the Navy to save face. Because who would have any respect for them if the very pirates they're trying to stop are the ones who ended up saving the day? Still, the thought of being on a team that had a member who tried to murder his younger brother didn't settle with Ace.
Fire flared along Ace's arms and he'd look over his shoulder at Crocodile. The short guy was already giving him a talking to so Ace figured he'd keep his two cents to himself for now. But there would come a time where Ace would give Crocodile a piece of his mind and maybe his foot. Because nobody hurt Luffy.

Katrina listened as Emerald spoke, however, she was all but lost examining the others of her party. Katie was the first one she noticed--and how could she not? She lived with her family until time itself ripped them away one by one. Such was the curse of immortality. A pang of simultaneous happiness and sadness washed over her as she stared at her sister for a few moments. Eventually, she ripped her storm gray eyes away to take in the rest of the group. Someone stalking the group? Katrina would have missed it, were it not for the slight breeze of her presence passing her by, a telltale sign. That, along with her metallic smell and mental presence, gave her whereabouts away. As strong as her vampiric senses were, it was her mental radar that had the most acuity. The invisible ally revealed itself to be a hooded female by the name of Kasumi. Certainly a nice trick, however definitely not appreciated by her sister. Next, spoke a blonde-haired man by the name of Spike. He was mostly unassuming, but Katrina could smell the familiarity coming off of him from a metaphorical mile away. Another vampire? And one who wasn't intent on bleeding every human alive dry, hopefully. Nosgoth needed more vampires like that. Katrina hoped he was easy to get along with, hoping he was on the ethical side of vampirism. Following him, came the gruff voice of a small, hairy man. His pungent odor was one of the strongest; cigars and alcohol, and... blood? Whether it was his own, or someone else's was unclear, but she had to assume that Emerald choices were for the best and not detrimental to the cause. Katrina noted his metallic claws, and similarly noticed that they cut through his own skin just to emerge. As they retracted, the wounds closed--and quickly. Definitely a healer. Then there was the 'fireman'. He showed off his skill with flames with both hands and called himself Portgas Ace. His abilities would probably come in handy, yet Katrina found herself shifting her weight onto her other foot in discomfort despite herself. She only hoped he had adequate control over his power. It would suck if he accidentally burnt down some village, or even his teammates by mistake. A man in red and blue tights identified himself next. With the emblem of an arachnid on his chest, and his wall-clinging ability, Katrina could reasonably guess that he was some kind of spider man. Perhaps he wore a mask to his his spiderlike disfigurements? She guessed she would never find out, although she had to wonder about his Kansas comment... Where exactly was Kansas? He seemed friendly, and it looked like he was already acquainted with the clawed, hairy man, Logan. That quickly made Logan seem more relatable, even if in truth he might not be. Sir Crocodile introduced himself after Spider-Man. He smelled of the Hadarac Desert, though why, Katrina couldn't begin to know. He was a behemoth of a man, towering over everyone else easily, including her own 5.5 foot frame. He was short with his words, and stoic, but once again Katrina put her faith in Emerald's hands. Dean Winchester. What could Katrina say? A vampire hunter working with two vampires. She might have to watch this one, was her first instinctive thought. Hopefully the enemy of her enemy was her friend here, as he seemed nice enough, despite his career being a hunter of her own kind. Truthfully, she couldn't exactly blame the man--vampires and other monsters contain the potential to be a great plague on people, though the same could be said in the reverse. When he finished, Katrina figured she'd follow Emerald's advice and the other's examples. "Well met, everyone. I am Katrina Marek, and this is my companion, Vanilor. I am the sister of Katie, therefore we share the same parentage. As for what I can do?" She paused, thinking about how to make this list as short as possible. "I've inherited my mothers abilities over metal, and I have become a skilled magician in my many years. I am strong, thought not as much as my dragon,' she smiled wryly at her last comment. Vanilor snorted, clearly satisfied with the acknowledgement of his physical strength.

Marvelous stayed in the center of the 'chaos' so to speak, arms crossed as folks interacted around him-bunch of tough guys and girls full of confidence(and combat skill they'd like to show off). He didn't come to make friends, though he knew from experience that they wouldn't really get along until things got urgent. So why bother starting off quickly? He noted the argument between the two ladies. They almost made his friend Luka look tame in comparison, he thought with a bemused grin as he looked them down. The coat was popular, but it was staying with him regardless of how good a thief everyone was. "Since we're getting things out of the way, I'm a pirate captain. Marvelous. I'm used to calling the shots, but clearly most of you do too by how vocal some of you are, some of you even seem impressive," he said before suddenly looking to Emerald and pointing a finger right at her. "but you're the leader, if I'm not mistaken. The de-facto. If anyone's got better credentials or disagrees with what I'm saying, do lay them out right now, or trust she won't get us to all kill each other before this adventure starts," he smirked, hoping to put the mysterious time travelling girl on the spot.

Katie's head snapped over to Marvelous in an instant. A huge grin split her face almost literally in half. "Captain Marvelous?! Leader of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, the 35th Super Sentai team?" Her voice was that of a classic fangirl now, including a perfect fangirl squeal. She seemed to vanish from sight for a second and reappear behind Marvelous, this being done with sheer speed. "Oh it's an honor, this is amazing. I will strive to be very showy Marvelous-san? Can I try out the Mobirate sometime?" The questions were coming out rad-fire as she circled him, tough she made no move to harm or steal from him, she was genuinely a fan. She fiddled with her MP# player and then sang along to a song.

It wouldn't do well to have that here now anyhow; Emerald and Scales might've been mighty disappointed if that'd occurred. Crocodile gave Logan an un-amused glare as he let him finish. Of course the crew would have objections to Croc as a leader. Every multi-dimensional team he had been on had the same issue. Soon enough, they will realize they need his leadership. Croc took the cigar offered to him and examined it for a moment as the others conversed around him. He wasn't opposed to killing one of these people off to prove his point. He could certainly do that. It's not like anyone would miss Edward or Ace for that matter. But... Crocodile wasn't like that anymore, was he? Ever since venturing into the New World, Croc has had a new lease on life. The old feeling of adventure was sparked inside of him again. Probably because of that damn Straw Hat... Regardless, killing any of these heroes now would cause distrust amongst the others. They would likely not work willingly for Croc. He needed them at their best, and suspicion gets in the way. He would have to do this in a more subtle way. He didn't want to reveal his power to them so early as well... just in case one of them turned out to be a problem. "Since we're getting things out of the way, I'm a pirate captain. Marvelous. I'm used to calling the shots, but clearly most of you do too by how vocal some of you are, some of you even seem impressive," he said before suddenly looking to Emerald and pointing a finger right at her. Crocodile answered Marvelous' claim. "Listen up, I'm not a man whose fond of repeating himself. I have led a kingdom, my own pirate crew, and an underground organization. I have led heroes such as yourselves into battle and have claimed victory for them." Crocodile gave a short puff of his cigar then turned his glare to Emerald and the Marek sisters, "I've killed Sith...Ended Mistborn...Ended Dragons... And I kept my crew alive. History shall repeat itself here, you all need only to work with me for a short time until this cult is dealt with and I have what I desire."

Any air of coolness that Marvelous may have given off was momentarily broke his concentration as he was called out by name and rank.
"Uh, yes, that's me...that's good that you strive to be showy, and not likely, the mobilate's mine, I don't really...share," he said as Katie almost seemed in her own world now as he tracked her with his own eyes. "Have I robbed you before? Or perhaps you've seen my wanted poster, I'm impressed someone else knows me here. You do resemble a bounty hunter..." he mused before trying to take a half step back for some space and almost purposefully ignoring Crocodile's boast. To be fair, even if Croc had nabbed his full attention, the showy pirate would just as likely have blown off the attempt at listing his feats.

That was an elephant in the room she hadn't expected to deal with. She gave er sister a smile in ackwledgment and blushed despite herself. "Control yourself Katie, you can't..." She tried to make it clear without saying it aloud that she wanted to catch up with her sister inn private at the earliest oppurtunity.

Crocodile answered Marvelous' claim. "Listen up, I'm not a man whose fond of repeating himself. I have led a kingdom, my own pirate crew, and an underground organization. Crocodile gave a short puff of his cigar then turned his glare to Emerald and the Marek sisters, "I've killed Sith...Ended Mistborn...Ended Dragons... And I kept my crew alive. History shall repeat itself here, you all need only to work with me for a short time until this cult is dealt with and I have what I desire." As the introductions continued, Sparda peeked into everyone's mind. Not to an overly invasive level, just attempting to gauge the truth in their boasts. This way, through their link Emerald could get a better feeling of where everyone stood. With Crocodile's latest claim, Sparda sensed he wasn't telling the whole truth. He didn't dig deeper, that would be an over reach of his power. Still, he couldn't help but get the impression of a blue haired ninja, a demon hunter who looked all too familiar, as well as others who seemed to factor into his boast. Meanwhile Emerald paid close attention to everyone's interactions. The group not getting along was par for the course, but some would be worse off than others. She was trying to figure out the best way to divide them up for the incoming missions. <Two teams seems efficient enough,> Emerald thought. <To cover all the worlds we need to go to,> Sparda asked, <That might take too long.> <I want to maximize effectiveness,> Emerald responded, <This way I have two evenly divided teams.> She made notes on the group, such as not matching Dean with the vampires. And possibly keeping Ace and Crocodile away from each other, which would mean she'd need to nominate another person to keep their eyes on him. Logan wasn't likely to be a great option, as the two already nearly came to blows. She decided it would probably Katrina; out of everyone Katrina was the one she trusted the most. "Emerald put this team together and has more experience fighting the Cult than anyone here. She's the leader, it only makes sense." <Might want to keep Katie away from Marvelous,> Sparda suggested, <Don't want her hero worship to get in the way of the mission.> <Maybe, or he could bring the best out of her. I know I'm always better when I have someone to impress.> Sparda considered her words, before realizing he was the same way and simply nodded, <Well, you don't want to keep them waiting too much longer.> Emerald realized he was right, even know Isabella hadn't spoken up yet she decided to keep things moving. "Alright, focus!" she said, with a base in her voice that surprised even her, "Time to get to business. Many of you faced a general of the Cult when we met; that's only a small sample of what they can do. Currently there's 15 generals in total, many of whom control armies. Their powers vary, some of them any one of us could beat in single combat, while others I fear would be able to defeat this entire group at once - dragons included." She hoped that last bit would illustrate exactly what they're up against, "And all that power pales in comparison to their god if they bring him back. We need to be at the top of game at all times, because they found a way to do just that. Seven Dragon Balls, they already brought them together once but I stopped them before they can use them... And barely escaped with one," she said, although she had since lost it to them - but that was information for a bit later. "The rest, I managed to scatter throughout the multiverse," she paused, getting ready for the harder news, "While I was gathering this team, they managed to find two of the Dragon Balls. Which meant they were already one a head of us. Then I had an encounter with Dracula and he managed to steal mine away." Emerald intentionally didn't tell anyone who she was with on that one, she didn't want to seed anymore resentment in the group, she did however loudly clarify, "AND NO, it wasn't when I recruiting Edward back there," she said, gesturing to the quiet man in the back, since everyone already seemed to be questioning his credentials. "But I put a fail-safe in the spell. When the Cult took the balls, they were anchored to a home world. Each one was unique for the ball. So currently, the Cult does possess 3 Dragon Balls but they have no way of moving them between the dimensions. And, furthermore, their leader - called The Master - is trapped in a world he can't escape from." <That's enough for now,> Sparda said, he could tell she wanted to get everything out but she needed to let everything set in before unloading more. Emerald stopped talking for a moment, and Sparda added one last comment, <The spells Emerald put on the Master and on the Dragon Balls aren't fool proof. Eventually they will find a way around them, and that's why we have to act quickly.>

"Swiftly is the way I work." She remarked, resting her chin atop a clenched fist and calmly looking at Emerald and Sparda. "15 generals, seven balls, got it. Two of which have been taken. Is there more on this mission briefing? All you have to do is point me in the right direction. Item acquisition is my specialty, after all." She smirked. "Why fight when you can just snatch?"

Is there more on this mission briefing? All you have to do is point me in the right direction. Item acquisition is my specialty, after all." She smirked. "Why fight when you can just snatch?" Marvelous simply said yes, not stating which comme t it was towards as he stepped forward to confront Kasumi. "Because a friend of mine once said that a good thief knows when to fold them, but doesn't if the price is right. I dealt with one of these generals before the boss found me. The guy was good, moreover he had friends who were also good. Grouping up makes sense because that's what they are doing. I'm sure you're an excellent thief, but you're useless to us if you were to nab 6 of these balls, only to get shot in the back while you were patting it on the way to the 7th."

That'd seemed to have gone nicely there with the big man, Logan thought. That ain't probably going to matter, he knew well that Crocodile could still prove to be troublesome. Specifically the boisterous claim he'd made following after their conversation, seemingly in response to the fella in red. A derisive snort was Logan's reply, though he took care as to muffle it seeing that he was still in Croc's general vicinity. That was more or less his cue to quickly make like a tree and skedaddle which he did with practiced finesse, slipping out of the small group. Though of course he took the moment to pause, glancing over his shoulder to the vampiress's self introduction. She had another dragon, though it looked nothing like Scales who'd reminded him heavily of Kitty's Lockheed. Just a simple blend of white and silver, almost as if it were pure. Were dragon mounts going to be a common theme in this motley group? A chuckle emanated briefly; naw that'd have been too silly. It'd have only made him take the gathered individuals here somewhat less seriously. Except for Webhead, naturally. But he keyed on the finer point in her introduction: she was related to the first girl who'd taken care to introduce herself. His brows furrowed briefly. He knew well what issues arose from having blood on the same team, in the same conflict. Ya never knew what'd transpire, what circumstances'd arise in the thick of it all. Sheesh, might he have to babysit some of these kids? Already he'd rather fight and kill one or two of these generals before he'd hold any of their hands. Typical of the extensively elderly caretaker that was Wolverine, resorting to unorthodox methods. Hey, if they worked, why the hell not? Moving beyond that, he noted an inkling that formulated within his gut. A growing craving of sorts. " I could do with a pint." A solitary murmur, one that was rapidly overshadowed by the marvelous pirate captain making himself known now. He paid attention expressly to Katie's reaction more than Marvelous's self-introduction, though he caught the crux of his declaration handily. Well, two of em. He wasn't wrong that Logan was used to calling the shots, as were many of the others, and that there was a lingering suspicion of Emerald's agenda. Perfectly understandable, Wolverine'd his own doubts. But insofar as the mutant was concerned, everything he'd been told? He determined wasn't a lie. His superhuman senses weren't just good for tracking ya know. More so with the additives she'd just spoonfed the rest. Still, there was more, things she wasn't saying yet. Perhaps an ulterior motive... or to let the new info settle in. Likely the latter, he'd said he'd give her a chance anyway. Moving back to Katie: the girl could do with a lesson in focus. Twice now she let the external get the better of herself, with her sister and the gaudy red pirate. Eh, maybe Logan could, should, cut her some slack. After all, it was just an easygoing and peaceful gathering. Who knew, a multiversal war might not have allowed the allotment for these times. Perhaps in between missions from the sounds of things and it wasn't a hundred percent certainty that they'd all come back alive. Them's the breaks, the typical fashion of war. Especially on this scale from the sounds of things, with just a small number against an overwhelming enemy. Familiarity with the premise reigned on high, with a tint of emotion. This was a sensation he was most familiar with, a heavy chest and a wave of anxiety he was close compatriots with. War, conflict, and finally loss. No such thing as getting over that, just getting real used to it as time went on by. Saddening, depressing in of itself and that was the primary reason why he wished it not on any other living soul. As much a jerk as he was himself. Storm'd have great fun teasing him if she knew he'd gotten this soft and reminiscent among what amounted mostly kids. Like he already didn't with the kids back home. He could really do with a pint at this point now.
