Once again Kodi kept pretty much to himself when everyone was talking. His teddiursa ran to him upset and he picks her up in his arms hugging her gentle. "Teddy its okay..." he said patting her on the back, "Teddy is a girl Pokémon Inara..." he says quietly. He thought it was odd people was asking why Inara would turn on her clan they killed people. He would turn on his mom if she killed people even though he loves her. He thought it was kinda rude after hearing about the Hazel girl's dad. "Hmm Hazel..." he said looking at her in the eye which was hard. Because for as long as he could remember it was hard for him to talk to people. But he has to get over it he wants to protect this girl after people basically ignoring her pain. "I'm sorry to hear about your dad... I know we don't know each other but if you ever need someone to talk to me and Teddy are always here. I know that won't really help nothing will but you're not alone... And I promise we will take down those evil ninjas..." his gaze then falls to the ground. He was unsure how she would react, he never knew what people would do, they're not easy like Pokémon. Inara stands up to apologize to Kodi and Teddy, it wasnt the most important thing but they were trying to make friends. when he hears his response to Hazel, she frowns. She didnt catch much out of Hazel's explanation but it wasnt too hard to piece together what happened. She was already forgiven, but since Satoshi was setting up camp and tending to his pokemon Inara had to show she was more than a fighter- if anything that assumption was a gross miscalculation. "Here Kodi" she says, sliding a bowl of Satoshi's food blend to Teddy. "Its really good miss" she says, trying to pet Teddiursa again as an apology before offering Hazel some next for her pokemon. "what he said goes double for me...we will stop them". |

Gale took everything into consideration, scratching his chin. It was pretty hot in Hoenn, he had taken off his suit and tie when he first arrived in Hoenn. In hindsight, it probably wasn't a good idea to do all of this in his work clothes, but it was the only thing he had available when the town got attacked. He managed to snag some clothes from his original luggage though, so he had changed before setting off to Route 101, and was pretty comfortable right now. Tired, but hungry.
Reaching into his bag, he took out his last 2 Pokeballs.
"Go Etoile, and you two, Lux." He dropped the 2 Pokeballs on the ground, and out sprung a Staraptor, and a Luxio. Both took a moment to stretch, and once they were done, Staraptor flew up into a branch and perched, and Luxio sat down next to Arcanine.
"Guess we're having a lunch break, huh?" Gale asked, jokingly.
He pulled 2 containers from his bag, one full of berries and Poke-Blocks, the other a mix of Poke-Blocks and diced Feebas.
He gave the Pokemon their respective foods, Lucario and Luxio the berries, and the fish to Arcanine and Staraptor.
Gale pulled a sandwich out of his bag and began to eat.
"So..uh..What now?" Gale asked, no one in particular really, just out loud.

"Thank you both," Hazel said, the wound still very fresh. She managed a weak smile. Hazel looked up toward the sky and a wistful look washed over her face. "We're born, and we die; but that's not what matters," she said, as if she had been reading the words out loud, "What matters is how we spend the time in-between."
She paused for a moment, and smiled at her new friends, "My dad told me that. And he spent his life trying to make the world a better place for all people and pokemon. Now it's my turn to do the same."
Hazel wanted to say more, about how she was eager to learn how to battle and ready to help in anyway she could; but she knew it was unnecessary. Inara and Satoshi both knew they wanted her father here instead. So far they hadn't mentioned it. That meant they were waiting until no one was around, so as to not call her out in front of everyone. Or it meant that they were ready to accept her and didn't think it needed said.

Teddiursa would smile at Inara and then dig into the Pokémon food. "Thank you." Said Kodi to Inara. He then would smile at Hazel, "Sounds like your father was really wise."

Now that Satoshi was sure his Pokemon would be okay for now he made his way back toward the group. He was sure he was going to get hit with a million questuins but at this point he might as well answer them.

Kodi asked looking at Satoshi. "An army of evil killer ninjas... I know we all are strong but we're out numbered. Are we going to fight fire with fire?" |

Don't these guys have a hold in many of the regions? Aside from you guys, the majority of us have never faced these kind of people, like, how much about them do we really know? If they are capable of burning down towns like this, then who knows what they have underneath their sleeves. I want to help of course, but I just want to be prepared. Not just for my sake..." Tommy took a long look at his Caterpie then continued, "...But for our families." Tommy snapped out of it very quickly after that, swinging his arms in a sort of panic, "OH MY ARCEUS! LOOK AT ME JUST TALKING OUT MY ASS TO COMPLETE STRANGERS! I'M SOOOO RUDE, SORRY! My name is Tommy Sunday," he said with a embarrassed smile. |

She might have been younger, but she honestly believed in what was right. she just hoped that would be enough, but for now she pet Teddy. Satoshi took over questions, so she looks back to hazel. "Thanks for sharing. Kodi was right, your father sounded very wise. He rubbed off on you it seems, so something tells me you're gonna be real useful" she says, trying to be nice. Then a thought goes through her head. "You going to bring out your pokemon?" she asks. Though admittedly she hadn't brought hers out yet, she'd give them food once the others had their share, and Pikachu was elsewhere right now trying to make friends. |

Hazel's focus was brought out of her own head and into to world around her. She noticed everyone else was briging out their Pokemon. "Oh, yeah, I suppose I should too." She said, loosing her Monferno and Magmortar from their pokeballs; which by the way she assumed were perfectly comfortable living conditions for pokemon.
Monferno was still sleeping off the effects of the sleep powder, while the shiny Magmortar cried out pridefully.

Taking the cues, Vincent and Victoria released their respective pokemon from their pokeballs. With almost a dozen of the devices in the air at the same time, the remaining pokemon burst forth in a display of white light. Vincent's pokemon; Tyranitar, Eelektross, and Metagross stood near to Charizard and Dragonair, curiously studying their surroundings and the trainers occupying said environment. Victoria's pokemon; Ditto, Machamp, Garchomp, and Abomasnow proactively strutted about, basking and enjoying coming out without necessarily having to battle.
Vincent and Victoria knew the pokemon comprehended most of what was being said while the trainers were talking. Even while in their pokeballs, they'd seen for themselves that they retained consciousness; perhaps some more than others, but comprehension nonetheless.

Monferno was still sleeping off the effects of the sleep powder, while the shiny Magmortar cried out pridefully. "Oh...a fire type trainer?" Inara questions upon seeing the two pokemon. She was impressed, they were impressive specimen, well trained and likely quite powerful. "Hmm, wouldn't have taken you for one. Still, I trust they'll be a big help" she says as he sees the twins summon their pokemon. Now she was a bit worried at them being overt, but food was laid out and hopefully they'd lay back and rest up. |

Vincent facepalmed, hoping to the legendaries that Inara and Satoshi wouldn't take her brash words as overly insulting. "I think what my sister is trying to say is... Well, does your plan, by chance, contain any lasting results? Our pokemon are strong, and we ourselves are determined human beings. Surely we can do more than annoy the enemy to death. How did you know there would be a fire here? With the right Intel, I think we could do more than thwart their plans when we happen to come across them. Inara is the heir, or was the heir, no? I think we should seek out the ones who give the orders. And, well..."
"Devastate 'em." Victoria finished boldly, emphasizing her point by punching her fist into her open palm.
Their pokemon took the liberty of eating the food laid out, assuming it was okay all things considered. They'd brought food of their own, but felt welcome to the rations, unaware of how little or great an amount Inara may or may not have left. They happily and gratefully dug in, while their trainer and coordinator were distracted with conversing.

You want to go and 'devastate' their leaders? That's what they did to this region, you think they aren't ready for that kind of thing? Inara and I have been fighting them for years, we know what works. You want to try your own plan, go ahead. Let's see how far that gets you. You don't like how we run things then you can go." |
