It has been roughly a month since the Hoenn region fell to the bloody coup by the Iga ninja clan. With the Champion and Elite Four confirmed to be dead and the Gym Leaders either missing or K.I.A. most Trainers have just been keeping their heads low. The clan is still operating the Gyms so Badges are still being given out though the validity of these Badges is dubious. Rumors also persist of Team Aqua and Magma being active once more.. Withe the Region on lockdown all hope seems lost but recently Trainers of particular skill have been finding mysterious notes in their campsites tell them to come to Littleroot Town. This is what has brought you here. You all received these notes and decided to act on them. Littleroot is a very small town with little of interest except Professor Birch's lab. That might be why the Iga ninjas have let it be. As you all arrive the sounds of a struggle on the nearby Route 101 greet your ears.

Hazel was still grieving, going back and forth between the various stages, as she made her way to Littleroot Town. It had only been a few days since her father's life was taken by the Iga clan. Four days in fact, Hazel was deeply aware of that. She knew how long it had been down to the hour.
If she hadn't been in such a state of shock, gripped by such sorrow, she'd be nervous. The letter she received was clearly intended for her father, as it was calling for the strongest trainers who were willing to fight back. Hazel had trained, sure. She would often battle her dad. But that was just to let Monferno get some exercise. She didn't know the first thing about competitive battling; let alone fighting a war.
The commotion snapped her out of her own head. This past month had taught her to be cautious of such sounds. She readied both of her Pokeballs and took cover in the nearby bushes. She freed her Monferno from it's ball. The fire monkey pokemon smiled upon seeing her friend and trainer, and opened her mouth to let out a joyful cry.
Hazel put her hand over the pokemon's mouth. With one hand on the Monferno's mouth, she put her finger to her lips to say 'shh'. "Something's going on ahead," she whispered, "I need you to climb the trees and scope out the situation." The pokemon nodded and took to the trees to get a peek at what was happening.

"Go to Littleroot Town."...."Huh." Gale read over the note that had been left near his campsite. He read it over and over again, but he saw no reason why he should go to Littleroot Town, but for some reason he was still heading towards it. "Hey, Arcky, slow down a bit, will ya?" He told his faithful Arcanine, who he was, coincidentally, riding on top of. Hey, it's not his fault Arcanine had gotten so big. Even as a Growlithe he was almost half Gale's size. Anyways, Gale kept on rummaging through his bag, going over his map, and his camera. He checked his map, he should be near Route 101, actually. Gale didn't know much about Hoenn, since he's originally from Sinnoh. Actually the only reason he came to the Hoenn Region in the first place was to do a follow up story on the kidnapping of Ash's kid. Unfortunately, he was here when the whole ninja thing happened. Finally Route 101. Gale totally oblivious, just kept on thinking, but Arcanine suddenly stopped. "Arcky, what's wrong." Wait..He could hear it now, some type of rustling. Gale began to look around. The pokemon nodded and took to the trees to get a peek at what was happening. He spotted some rustling in the trees, and saw a Monferno in the tree, which was weird, given Monferno's aren't from Hoenn. The weirder thing is that the Monferno was spying on something. Weird. Gale stood and observed the Moferno for a moment, before turning around and trying to find the source of the struggle.

Kodi was glad to have received this note finally other people are ready to stick up to the ninjas. Kodi has been battling lower level grunts already. With rumors of other villain groups Kodi knew he needed more allies than just his beloved Pokémon. Kodi headed to Little Root town with his Pokémon Teddiursa, better known to him as Teddy, on top of his back peeking over his right shoulder. When all the sudden Teddy ears rise in awareness. "What is it!?" Kodi asked his Pokémon.
"Tedd iur sa!" Teddy replayed.
Understanding his Pokemon so well Kodi asks where and Teddy points. Then Kodi takes off running with his Pokémon holding onto his back. Then Kodi comes upon Gale, "Who are you?" Kodi asked. "What's going on!?"

"I'm Gale, this is Arcky." Gale said, pointing at his Arcanine. Arcanine growled at Gale, helping him remember what he was doing. "Oh yeah, I'm going to Littleroot, there's a Monferno up in that tree, and something's going on further ahead." He said, trying to tell the kid all he knew. "Don't scare the Monferno away though, it looks like it's trying to find something."

Unfortunately for Hazel's Monferno, an Iga owned Beautifly was in that three and it began using Sleep Powder over the general area, which would put all the new comers and their Pokemon to sleep should the fail to do something about it.

"Sleep powder!" Kodi yells being well aware of the blue powders effect. Having lost a battle to a Pokea school kid before because of it. Kodi begins to run out of the range of the attack. "Come on Aricky and Gale!"

Hazel, being back away from the action, was unable to see what was happening. She had to hope everything was alright.
This, unfortunately, left Monferno to rely on his instincts. The fire monkey saw the butterfree and knew to be cautious. He would attempt to jump to the nearest tree and climb above the sleep inducing attack before it could take effect.

Victoria and Vincent didn't know why they received the note they did, but when only one note came, it sparked fire.
"It's obviously for me, Vincent. Let's face it, somebody noticed my skill as a trainer and liked what they saw." She huffed, throwing blue hair over her shoulder as she often did when making a point.
"Victoria, Victoria, Victoria. Sweet, dear little sister--"
"By like 30 seconds!"
"--No matter, it still counts," he quickly retorted. "I'm sure that, whoever sent this, heard about my amazing displays of coordination and needed me. For something."
Victoria laughed. "Why would a random stranger need a coordinator?" Vincent paused, then scratched his head. Something occurred to him. "Why would a random stranger need a trainer? Or anyone for that matter? This is kind of weird, little sis."
"I told you--"
"Yes, yes. Thirty seconds and stuff. Look, whatever this is, it's odd and you know it. You're my sister; with everything going on lately, I really feel like it'd be a horrible idea to let you go anywhere in Hoenn."
"Vincent, I didn't ask your permission, your not my dad."
Vincent laughed this time, pulling a pokeball from his backpack. "You know me better than that, sis. We're both going. We can find out who's been personally invited later, assuming this isn't an evil ninja's twisted joke. And if it is... well, Victoria, it's like you always say..."
Victoria smiled. "We'll devastate 'em, bro." She searched her own bag and pulled one out as well. "Littleroot, eh? I guess I'll see you there!"
"If I don't beat you there first," Vincent shot back with a wry smile. They both packed their things in a hurry, bringing along essentials for themselves and their pokemon, as well as plenty of money. Without further delay, the twins released their fellow teammates and took to the sky. Vincent's Charizard flew alongside Victoria's Flygon without much trouble. Whenever one overtook the other, the other pokemon eventually caught up. This continued until Vincent called a truce for the sake of stamina, and they flew side by side over the expanse of grassy fields and lush trees. It was then that, from above, Victoria spotted a gathering of trainers. Vincent pointed out the strange blue dust spreading at the same time. Trading information, the twins surmised there was some kind of trouble down below.
"Tch. Let's keep moving, it's just a little further."
"You know we have to see what's going on, they might need help." Vincent's voice was unsurprisingly steely on the matter.
"Uh, no. I know you have to see what's going on in case someone needs help. I just have to go with you 'cus you're my brother."
"Nevertheless... Let's check it out, Charizard."
"... C'mon, Flygon."
The pair hovered about fifteen yards above the trees, careful to keep outside the perimeter of the powder they recognized all too well. They searched for anything that would indicate trouble; Flygon and Charizard exchanged looks and uttered sounds of anxiety, able to hear the struggle even over their flapping wings. There was something going on... Unfortunately, being in the air would make them quite visible against the backdrop of the blue skies and drifting clouds.

Jacob had only recently come to the Hoenn region. He had been in route to visit with Professor Birch when he received a cryptic letter asking for his presence in Littleroot Town. He awoke one morning to find it by his campfire. Since he was headed there anyways, he decided to investigate the letter upon his arrival. He was excited to visit the professor's lab because, while he didn't share this side too much, he greatly enjoyed the research aspect of pokemon and pokemon tech being developed.
As Jacob was on his way he came to a sign just on the outskirts of town for Littleroot. Just as he was about to continue he heard some sort of noise in the distance. It seemed out of place for a forest so he decided to check it out. Grabbing a Poke ball from his bag he threw it into the air and released his pokemon/long time friend Pidgeot. They had been together since almost the beginning. Then again most of Jacob's pokemon had been with him for years. "Pidgeot, go check and see what is causing all that commotion and get back with me. I don't want to miss it if it is something important." With that Pidgeot flew high into the sky. Jacob watched until it had gone out of sight over the tree line. Taking this time to rest some, Jacob leaned back against a tree trunk and pulled a small bite to eat out of his pack.

Tommy's future was looking bright. He had done well in his gym battles in Kanto and Johto but now it was time for Hoenn. This time Tommy was determined to have the best adventure here than he had ever had.
That was...until the ninjas came.
Tommy didn't need to be here long to notice things were off. Fortunately, as soon as Tommy arrived he received a strange note telling him to go to some place called 'Littleroot'.
"Well, seeing as I have no idea where to start, I guess that's as good as any."
Tommy then set off for Littleroot accompanied by his fellow Pokemon Tartarus(Tauros), Scar(Skarmory), Naga(Scyther), and Caterpie(Whom liked to sit on Tommy's shoulder most of time they were together)
"Scar! Naga! Will you two cut it out? We are almost there!" Tommy ordered, as both Scar and Naga had been competing with one another the entire trip. Their rivalry hadn't stopped since Naga bested Scar in Johto, leading to his capture. Scar had no ill-will toward Tommy. In fact, they got along great. But every time Scar saw Naga, one of them would start to bite at each other or see who could cut down the most trees. Most of the time it was just friendly competition,...most of the time.
Tommy finally reached Littleroot as his pokemon settled down, but before they all could settle in Tommy heard something going on in the nearby Route. "Scar, Naga, go use some of that team dynamic you got over there and find out what's going on. I'll be right there just as soon as I feed Caterpie, the trip didn't go so well with him." said Tommy as both Scyther and Skarmory raced off to Route 101.

"Sleep powder!" Kodi yells being well aware of the blue powders effect. Having lost a battle to a Pokea school kid before because of it. Kodi begins to run out of the range of the attack. "Come on Aricky and Gale!" Gale looked around, scanning the area. "Sleep what? Powder? Where?" Arcanine, always the wiser, began to naturally run away, following Kodi, sprinting off in his direction. Weird, who would just throw sleeping powder at them, maybe that Monferno got into a fight with a Caterpie, either way that Sleep Powder looked like it was spraying the whole area around the tree, specifically where he, Kodi, and the Monferno were hanging around. "Hey, Arcky, try to protect the kid and his Teddiursa, don't want them getting put to sleep." He told his Arcanine. "Hey kid! I be careful now, and don't kill me! Just grab on to Arcky!" Gale yelled out, towards Kodi. Arcanine ran behind Kodi and nuzzled him softly, trying to get Kodi to hold on to his long fur.

In the next few seconds pandemonium broke out. Kodi for his effort of trying to run back into town fell into a pit trap, taking Teddiursa and Gale's Arcanine with him. Hazel's Monferno, Jacob's Pidgeot, and Tommy's Scyther and Skarmory all feel victim to the Sleep Powder. It was then that a half dozen Vivillon flew out from the the trees sprinkling their Powder attack on the grond in the area close to the town and even in side it. This was odd for two reasons: Vivillon was a Kalos native Pokeman and wild Pokemon don't usually behave in such a manner, The Vivillon soon retreated as three Torchic appeared and used Ember causing the Powder on the ground explode, starting several fires in the town. Littleroot wasn't looking very safe any more and there was only one way out of town. The Torchic begin their own retreat out of town toward Route 101, toward the fight that our heroes heard previously that was still going on.

What happened next was complete and utter chaos, leaving Gale thoroughly confused. During Arcanine's efforts to save Kodi and his Teddiursa, a trap had sprung, sending the three into some type of pit in the ground, hopefully there were no spikes on the bottom. Following that, the Monferno fell out of the tree, and a bunch of random Pokemon started showing up, seemingly in a pattern, and created a combo attack that resembled a napalm bombing strike. Gale could see Litteroot Town was up in flames, and a bunch of Torchics began to walk into Route 101. "What the hell is going on?!" Gale yelled out, before regaining his composure. He looked at Arcanine, luckily the hole was pretty big. (OOC: Going by this reference ) "Arcky, get the Kid and his Pokemon on to you, and then jump out of that hole, fast. I'm going to go investigate what exactly is going on in this Route." Gale told Arcanine, he then looked at Kodi. "Kid, listen to Arcky, he knows what he's doing. Same to you Arcky, help them." Gale then turned towards the noise of the struggle. He began to look for the sound he had heard earlier, and was also on the look out for the three Torchics. He's going to need more help out here. Reaching into his bag, he picked out a Great Ball, and threw it. "Sirius, I need your help buddy." The Great Ball opened up, and his Lucario was summoned, and began to stretch it's limbs. The ball returned the Gale, and he put it away. Lucario came up to him and gave him a hug. "It's nice to see you two, but I need help here. Arcky is stuck in that pit with some kid, so you're going to have to do a little bit of extra work." Gale told him, Lucario nodded. Gale and Lucario ran towards the sound that was heard earlier, when they had first arrived at Route 101.

Vincent paled. "This isn't right. What's happening here?!" Horrified at the blatant cruelty, he exchanged a brief glance with his sister Victoria. She was tough, but not unkind. Likewise stunned, she knew she couldn't ignore what was going on at this point any more than her twin. They knew what to do.
"I'll take care of things in the town, bro."
"And I'll find out where these poor pokemon are receiving these inhumane orders. Hurry up sis, take care of those flames and come back safe," he called behind his shoulder, even as his Charizard spun in the air and flew toward the sounds of the struggle. "This isn't right." He repeated, still pale and quite bothered. He'd instruct Charizard to stay in the air, and fly swiftly toward the disturbance. Any more sleep powder and the flaming pokemon would elevate his height to avoid it.
Victoria reached into her bag dutifully and without hesitation. "Ditto, time for action. Transform into Flygon!" The beam of energy shot from the ball and a pink blob of a pokemon manifested in midair, changing shape into a winged form in a heartbeat. "Alright Ditto, Flygon. Let's snuff these flames! Stay far enough that your attacks don't hurt anyone, alright?" The pokemon acknowledged their trainer with their trademark calls. The now similar pokemon flew to either side of the small town, facing each other. The blistering heat rose, warming their faces. Victoria sincerely hoped nobody was burning alive.
"Ominous Wind!" Winds ripped from their wings with a ghostly howl.
