Inara frowns at Satoshi's outburst, nobody was in a good mood after what just happened but especually him. She steps forward in an attempt to take hold of the conversation.
"I'm Inara. You're all here for the same reason I think, a meeting?' she calls out, consciously leaving out the part about her leaving them a note. If they could bring up that detail, they'd have proved themselves- she was still on edge after the ambush, can't be too careful echoed in the back of her head.

"A meeting? So I assume one of you left this at my campsite?" Jacob pulled a note out of his pocket and unfolded it to show them.
"What's it all about?"

Victoria and Vincent wandered around the town for a few minutes, but it seemed nobody was around. Victoria had to admit, she was glad her mistake only came at the cost of an empty ghost town, but that only raised more questions. Dragonair and Flygon had taken to playing some kind of game in the sky close above, while Charizard had consciously chosen to stay out of it. Walking beside the twins rather protectively, they finally came across a few trainers and pokemon gathered and talking. The same ones that were running around as frantically as they had been in the sky.
Vincent approached with Charizard, while Victoria kept back quite a distance rather guilt stricken. Flygon and Dragonair continued to flit about directly above her, though she couldn't much help that.
"Hey, is everyone alright over here?! My sister and I are looking around for any injured, but... We can't even find any remains in this mess of ash and snow. It's odd," Vincent commented, placing a hand on his Charizard somewhat affectionately. "We tried to find out who did this..." He looked over each of the trainers, as if weighing unknown odds within his mind. "They got away, I suppose." The only real suspect was the flaming horse. He refrained from profiling the fire type pokemon, all things considered. "Have you found any survivors at all?"

"Yeah, wasn't easy either- that's around the time we ran into some of the Iga clan ninja...the real threat here." she says, honestly still a bit worried they missed something or someone important. "We had been fighting them off since, otherwise we would have come to help here. You all did well though, and you didn't set off any traps it looks like".

Hazel had, by now, found her Monferno and called both pokemon back to their pokeballs. She noticed the large group forming, and none of them looked too threatening, or very ninja like. In all the commotion she hadn't really noticed who was all there, but from the water and snow attacks she figured someone had to put out the fire. She didn't expect quite so large of a group.
"So, are you all gym leaders?" she asked, barging into the conversation. It would make sense, they needed strong trainers to combat this threat; and gym leaders are the second most powerful trainers, under the elite four and champions respectively. It would also explain why they contacted her dad, outside of his reputation.

Things got crazy fast for Tommy. Fire erupted from both Route 101 and the town. Tommy's immediate concern was his pokemon, especially his Caterpie, whom had only just started to eat when Tommy called him back into his pokeball for safety.
"What's going on here!? Scar, Naga, you two come back!" Tommy shouted. He ran back to the route only to find them passed out from Sleep powder. "Well...great job you two."
Tommy quickly called them back into their individual pokeballs to avoid the fire.
"Oh boy...what now" Tommy asked himself as the fire started to spread, noticing the trainers doing what they could to put it out. "Think Tom, what can I do against fire?" he thought to himself, shuffling through what pokemon he had with him. "Damn, I left all my other Pokemon at home. No water-types at all." Tommy could do nothing but look at the town in despair as the town burned.
"Come on guys, you can do this." Tommy cheered on the trainers until getting knocked from behind from a sudden wave of water. The surf took him off his feet and swept him near the center of the town, finally stopping near the group of trainers as they gathered.
*Cough* "Hi there..."

Vincent felt relief after learning there weren't any human casualties. He knew, however, after witnessing the fire in the trees first hand, that it was highly possible pokemon were injured or worse. To him, even the burning of trees was horrific. However, he wouldn't let that beat him up too bad. That's when a trainer came sliding in on a residual wave of water.
"Thank goodness people weren't hurt, though I see my pokemon's water attack has you shaken. I'm sorry, I thought I'd instructed her to aim for the treetops, not the trainers! Thank you all for helping out my sister and I. Now that things are alright, I think we should be heading back home now. It seems like this note was nothing but a sick joke," he remarked, fumbling around to pull it out from his pocket. "Hm, I think I lost it... the pleasures of flying, I suppose. Well, if there's nothing else, it's been a pleasure."

"Note?" Inara cuts in, looking over to Vincent. She meanwhile nods at Jacob before trying to get everyone's attention. "That's my handwriting, and sir it's clearly the furthest thing from a joke if you look around you...also no, none of us are Gym Leaders. I doubt any of you are even on the Iga's radar before today, we were counting on that" she says, shooting down Hazel's rather optimistic theory- in reality, any high profile trainer in Hoenn that didn't make himself scarce when the Igas made a public takeover would have gotten contacted by the clan in a messy way. "We've been fighting the Iga clan for awhile now, and with a power play like what they've managed to do we need help. You were all sent a note because you might have what it takes to help stop them. The fire proved a bit of that" she says in a soft tone.

Hazel frowned at the answer. She knew all too well about the Iga taking out gym leaders, but had hoped that a few of them managed to survive. "My dad was one," she managed to say, "I assumed that's why you contacted him... before they decided to turn their attention toward him."

Gale took note of all of this, retaining the information in his mind, this would be useful for his news article in the future. Looking around he saw that every one was pretty young, he doubted the oldest person in here was at the most 22. That might explain why they were spared when the Ninja clan attacked. Twins with blue hair? Two little kids? A guy with a pink scarf traveling with a girl in a skimpy outfit? Felt like he was in some sort of anime. Maybe...Hm... *Poke* *Poke* Gale was brought back to thought by his Lucario poking him, and then gesturing towards Satoshi and company. "Oh yeah, right Sirius." Gale hopped off his Arcanine, and brought him back into his ball. "Right, thanks Arcky, you can have some rest now." Gale turns his attention to the group. "Note?" "I guess I should go first. My name's Gale, and I'm here from Sinnoh. I'm doing a follow up story on the disappearance of Satoshi Ketchum."

You have a Lucario, that explains the aura I sensed, it's untrained though... As to why you're here, to help stop the Iga clan, well most of them."

Gale's face lit up, if this guy wasn't lying this could be the story of the century!...Or the decade, probably the decade. He looked at his Lucario. Then back at Satoshi. What did he mean he was "untrained"? So many questions. "Well, it's an honor to meet you. I should've recognized the hat, although now with your Dad being so famous, everyone wears the same style. You do sort of look like him though. Also, what happened? Aaron kidnapped you, right? I was studying Aaron before I came here. A bug-catcher extraordinaire that guy. And why us? Why choose us?" *Poke* *Poke* Gale was interrupted by Lucario who gave him a stern look. Right, he should calm down first. Gale gathered himself, petted Lucario on the head, and looked back at Satoshi "Ahem. Well, then, Satoshi..I don't suppose you might give us a little explanation of what exactly is going on?"

Vincent listened patiently to everything that was going on. Without a second thought, he finally spoke. "Victoria!" He called out, and his sister came, albeit somewhat begrudgingly. She stood next to her brother, curious.
"Don't be rude. This is my twin sister, Victoria. I'm Vincent Archard." He turned toward his sister, "The fire was caused by the Iga clan, unsurprisingly. I know this seems like just another day in Hoenn, but that note was a calling. A call to arms for those who are sick of the wanton destruction. This open hatred. Nobody was hurt, Tori, thank Arceus. We have a chance to make sure nobody ever gets hurt by these bandits again. I'm going to help them."
Victoria frowned for but a moment, before slowly smirking. "You know, I think I'd love a chance to bury these goons. After what happened here today... Well, I say we have a little chat with the leader of this group. Who would organize such a crime?"
Almost as an afterthought, she added, "I knew that note was for me. A powerful trainer like myself obviously has tons to offer."
Vincent rolled his eyes. "I'm thinking it was more likely for me. Not that two isn't better than one!"
They glared at each other in one intense moment, electricity all but manifesting in between them, before they quickly regained composure for the sake of continuity.
