Ursa: The bear boy sighed, muttering about how he was starting to hate the burns. Seeing Ani charging in as a rhino, he decided to leap onto him, then leap off into a flying knee. He hoped to at least crack the mask and set up Animalius' attack. Whether or not this worked as he hit the ground he'd try kicking dirt over the mech's eyes, wanting the dust to obsruct the vision. Overall, he'd do his best to stay as a supportive fighter, and not be the biggest threat.
Ani: Was that a robot? seemed fun enough to smash. He headed in right for it as a rhino, hoping to smash the metal and anything else that happened to be there. Sure, Ursa was there too, but he wanted to take over this fight, besides, bear boy couldn't really take out the robots anyways.
Dark Lizard: He thanked the mecha bird for being patched up, he wasn't used to being helped at all in any way, so this was a surprising and nice turn of events. He grinned, but then realized the mecha bird could get attacked, or so could he really. He looked around constantly to try to spot potential threats.
Scarlett: She tried to use her shark senses to at least get an idea of where her prey was now... target, she meant target. She tried to look for a door to the next cart. From there she'd get the scent and intercept. In theory of course, a lot could happen that she missed in the mean time.
Minerva: Giving up, she tried to keep up the acrobatics chase, but she was getting tired, and wouldn't be able to keep up for very long. She looked around for random stuff to throw at the thief.

Fortune: He laughed at Roach. "Not what you were expecting? Train derailing is not going to do me in."
StarPatrol: Captain Sphinx nodded, "Sounds like you've been having a rough day too." He said to Ginger. "I'm confused about those laws you mentioned, but w can discuss those later, and maybe I'll share a bit about where we come from." He was trying to make conversation.
Trevor just sat rigid, clearly not enjoying the ride. Kairi felt a wave of frustration, just when she thought Ginger was going to leave Sphinx alone he went and started talking to her again.
"Probably not though, we're going to be very busy with repairs, and more." She said. "Not much time for recreation."
Sphinx looked at her, "Hmm, Kairi you've done more with less. I'm surprised at you, usually you're the one with the positive attitude."

Krystal's eyes grew wide when she saw the grenade roll in."GRENADE!" She exclaims as she was about to jump onto it when Drago jumped in front of her. "No, Drago! Get behind ME!" Without a second thought she grabs drago by his collar and tosses him back to the friendly side. And then if she had enough time, grab the kneecapped GST soilder and get him and herself out of the blast radius.
--------------
Now Maria wrecking the power suit is definitely a sight Hirro would have maybe liked to witnessed. But, he quickly moved both hands in the direction where his sister just yelled from. "Out the way!" He yells as he fires off a wave of ice energy in an attempt to freeze the grenade, and or the rest of the soldiers in that direction.

Trace chuckled for reasons she and others probably misunderstood. "You know I imagined you more graceful than that?" He then looked at Dave and nodded. Taking a guess they were thinking the same thing. Find Derrick. "You know I don't think I've been hit on yet but is this what its like? Much more abrasive than imagined." He helped her off him. "Are you alright? You seemed startled. No ruffled feathers I hope."
Nicholi:He watched the slight bleeding stop nigh instantly and for a moment almost felt relief that she wasn't hitting back. He pressed on his comm and phoned in. Asking where to go next before starting on wherever told. "Come on." He beckoned with a glance. He talked as they made their way. "If you got details then share. Even the little stuff. Any word From my General Luminox?" He thought for a moment. "Can't really call him that anymore can I? At least I hope not. And don't call me liege or anythign like that. It's just Nicholi." He wanted to make that perfectly clear.

Maria gleefully noted the armored man's mechanized hand fall apart under her assault, thankful that Pro's nanolathe body was stronger than the man's own armor. She wasn't so pleased that the man continued to struggle, even with his knee shredded and taking the entire brunt of her and her friend's assault. She wondered if the person inside was a tough son of a bitch or if the armor was keeping him upright. She hung on as he continued to trash about in an attempt to knock her off of him.
Jokes on him isn't it Pro? she thought to her headmate, Because I've got his kneecap in my hooks. If I come off, his kneecap comes off too.
An effective method to disable someone, PROMETEO complemented, I'd suggest going for the neck and ending this, I don't know the capabilities of his suit and the longer we dally here, the greater chances for injury to ourselves or others.
Maria admitted Pro had a point and shifted her body upwards; her hands still dug into the man's leg morphed into clawed feet as she slid into his back, her mouth next to what she assumed were the suit's audial receptors. She reached up with a hand and morphed it into a knife and drove it down into his shoulder, her other hand forming a barbed whip that she attempted to wrap around the man's neck.
"Surrender now!" she barked at him, "Or I start stabbing your neck, pop your kneecap and dislocate your shoulder!"

*Infirmary -Players: Orion & friends"*sigh*, tell me who you wish to speak with, perhaps they are done being out on the field, but exhaustion is a tricky thing to balance with people in your line of work. Heroes have fallen in less than savory manners," the nurse frowned as she begged Orion to rest, speaking from experience. Gravity Girl frowned, not liking the sound of that reality check at all. Outskirts of Reach City; +State of the area: Slightly less of a clusterf*ck-Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends. Red Dragon could see the beastman operative was clearly in pain, but with some helping from Blue Fang he would fail to stay down. The vest he wore helped, but he would need medical attention for 2nd degree burns as he was on jello legs. He whined aloud as the duo spoke to him as they regrouped. "I'm in the second worst pain of my life, but if we get through today it'll be worth it," he said, dropping a gruff tone, hinting that he was younger than he let on if they could pick up on the cue. "Fight though heroes, I'll be fine, go be heroes so I believe ya story," he whined again, his gun having fallen off somewhere. South Star's Cool Thing:
Orion felt bad. He could tell the nurse was working hard and he didn't mean to be a difficult patient. He smiled at the nurse and said, "Thank you. I honestly appreciate everything you've done for us and I promise I'll rest. If you can bring in whoever was working the police departments booth, it would be incredible helpful." Red Dragon's Cool Thing:
"I'm not leaving you," Travis said, for the first time feeling like he could actually live up to the Red Dragon legacy, "Being a superhero means that no one dies on my watch." Red Dragon took his sword and cut a line in the dirt in front of him, "No one gets passed here." Travis would keep an eye on the battlefield, watching in case the tide of things turned and he needed to take a more active role. If not, he was determined to stay be the soldier's side. Noticing that he had dropped his gun, Travis turned to his brother and said, "Look for his gun if you can. A soldier does need a weapon, after all." Travis knew the beastman wasn't in fighting shape, but he wanted to comfort him in anyway he could.

The Monorail; +State of the room: -Players: Star Patrol, Fortune, Trace & friendsRoach looked over to Fortune's laugh, looking at the corsair like he was insane. "Ever been in a train derailment? They hurt," the rogue countered, looking out the window again. "From this height up, it'd suck too," he mumbled, alluding that he's fallen to his death as well as the Monorail passed into the city. After a few hundred feet, the trees were gone, in lieu of large Office buildings and Metropolis-like architecture with cars driving by below. The place easily stacked up to New York City in size, but the density of where buildings were somehow didn't feel crowded from high up. The city currently had the sun up so they could see themselves pas b the first few buildings, police and a few costumed individuals gathered on the floor below. The sight was fairly impressive to all...if they were paying attention. A group that may have been too focused were Star Patrol. "I'd love to share and swap stories. This town's my home, but it's always enlightening to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. That's what aunt always used to say anyways," she mused when she noticed Kairi. "Hmm, is she now? Well, Captain I'd hate to butt in, but something tell's me your Science Officer's had the worst of it. Not to say anything bad, but maybe she's thinking about a lot. Maybe some girl talk will help. If you don't mind a minute alone, we are hitting city limits so..." she said, giving a warm smile at the man. As the crew tried to figure things out, Trace was busy with his catch. "Heh, guess trains are my weakness," Ali chuckled to herself as Trace continued on. Dave nodded before quickly speeding off with determination, leaving the two. “Mmm, ruffled feathers? No, this is quite nice. I’m sorry for damaging your head, that seems like the last thing you need right now,” she apologized, am bit cheekier in her response before looking out to the city. She seemed legitimately impressed by the city, staring out. “Ever been to a place like this before?” she asked in a peaceful tone, trying to get past what had happened. Lobby; +State of the Room: Inches from success *Cafeteria/train station: -Players: Scarlett + Minerva Rajom & friendsScarlett was following from a cramped space above the hallway. She saw her target, the Thieving Magpie start to run before...stopping. She slammed onto the brakes hard. She turned to face Minerva, a big grin on her face. “You really want what’s in here, huh? It anything important?” she teased, her suit adapting and closing her lower face so she was more armored in case someone decided to attack while she was speaking. “I’ll cut you a deal for it back. Looks like your shark friend popped off.” *Villain Orientation room:-Players: Krystal and Hirro Felidae, Maria/Pro, Emma, & friendsKrystal managed to leap away from the grenade as Hirro blasted it with ice. He was unfamiliar with the design, but despite freezing it successfully, the device began to glow red from under the crystalline Meanwhile, Maria and Pro were having more luck. The threat of being eviscerated worked on the zealot, him placing his well-being over whatever conditioning his superiors drilled into him. "OK, Ill shut the thing down," he pleaded, a bit of a younger voice than what she would've anticipated. "You win, OK? They sent us on a suicide mission, and I picked the wrong side." Emma might feel a bit silly as things got handled while she was preoccupied, Nightshade helping Maria in case the guy had any more tricks in store. *Reach Wall sub-level:-Player: Nicholi D Trake
"This is Lt. Vasquez here," the radio came back in, this time from Missionary the catgirl. Going off what happened between then and the table, she was coming off as a de-fact 2nd in command. "The main forces have been repelled. If you're done down there, then head for the next monorail. I'm getting you into the city. Any bad injuries to speak of, white hair?" she asked as the young Volgren followed behind smugly. As if she knew this was how it'd turn out. Nevertheless, she respected the request. "Well, Nicholi, that's all a very complicated area. Though you are correct, Luminox was a loyal General under your father. Outside your parents, he was the highest priority target they went after, so he's not a General anymore. Although if you ask me, my father once told me of his power. Combined with information confirming he was far from the initial coup, odds were they didn't corner or backstab him. There have been several otherwise unrelated situations where a large Volgren matching his description has helped out fighters who are vocal about being loyal to your father. I mean, depending on the answer you want, it could just be coincidence or...not," she said, letting the information sink in. For once, his grandfather seemed to willingly shut up. *Infirmary -Players: Orion & friends
"Of course," the nurse said, relieved as she was able to strike a deal with Orion. She ran off, leaving Orion alone...for about ten seconds before a radio was shoved in his face. "Hello? Someone wished to speak with me?" came out as Foreman's voice, the big cop in charge at the booth. Outskirts of Reach City;+State of the area: Might be manageable -Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends.
With Ursa and Animalius taking the fight to the new challenger, everyone else was given a breather as it was the only opponent left. unfortunately, Ursa found this one was well-built as he connected with the bear, him unaffected by the knee. not even the glass visor shattered. The robot ignored Ursa before sending a jet of blue flame at Animalius, seeing the rhino charge and readying its own counter. "No problem, I just...this last guy, leave him to me for now," she suggested at D.L., explaining it was personal. The last machine seemed very happy to handle the Rajom brothers without breaking into a stride just yet. Slightly further from the fight was Red Dragon and Blue Fang. They could see the machine was the only real threat now, which bought them time. The beastman chuckled, before coughing a bit in pain. He was impressed by Travis and let down his guard. "Wow, you sound like you know what yer doin. OK big shot...you're callin' things til I can feel my toes," he grumbled, embarrassed at his own failure. "I'll try to not blemish your record," he groaned as Blue Fang had his orders.

Fortune: The adventurer chuckled, "Heh, last train that derailed on me I managed to get clear of. Good thing too, thing went sky high. Of course that'll happen when you stuff it full of 88mm shells." He said recalling a distant memory. Or was it recent? He really didn't know how to measure time anymore.
Star Patrol: Sphinx nodded, "Certainly, I'm sure Kairi could use some guidance."
Kairi held back her anger, she could sense a bit of Ginger's real intentions, but as she couldn't think of an excuse not to go with the lioness Kairi found herself going along with things. "Oh, if you think it will help." She said keeping the act up.

It seemed like the battle was dying down, leaving Travis's dramatic display for almost nothing. Still, there seemed to be one challenge left for the heroes. Travis stabbed his sword into the ground to try and send a controlled tremor toward the robot's feet to knock it off balance.

"Good choice," Maria whispered before nodding over to her nearby ally, "Alright, on the ground face down," she said as she led him face first a bit more forcefully than she should. "Shut it down and pop the suit-"
"Perhap he should stay inside the suit? The area has not been fully secured, a stray round may kill an unarmored human." PROMETEO cautioned in her head.
"So?" she answered back, "One less piece of trash to deal with."
"Yes," he agreed, "But also one less source of intel. We may gather information on our enemies through him."
"Change of plans," she shouted to the armored man, "Stay in the suit, but shut it down. I'll be able to tell if you haven't." she threatened, trusting Pro to be able to tell if the suit was activated or not.

Krystal on the floor looked back on the frozen glowing grenade. "Err, red is never a good sign, is it?" She says, helping drago back up and motioning to move into cover. She looked over to the big robot and saw that Maria had the thing under control, and looked around the room for anything else of interest.

Hirro frowned, he really didn't like the red color, but was sure they were faraway enough from any danger. He focuses now on the down mech and Maria. Ready to back her up if anything else happens,

Trace looked out the Window. "I think that could be a very subjective question. Cus as far as I'm told there's nowhere like Reach city. That could all just be big boasting mind you but..." He gave her an excited look. "I have a wild hope that could be true!"
Nicholi: He listened to the catgirl over the comm and responded in kind. "The situation is well here." When questioned about injuries he looked at his new "friend" for a moment. "Unfortunately no. I'm heading to the monorail now. Shouldn't be long. Over and out mittens." He then put his radio away and picked up his pace towards the destination.
After listening to the Volgren's story he was still more than annoyed. "So any ideas we have on him are circumstantial then? Dammit." He was getting answers but no closure. "If he is dead then that'll put a hard damper on any plans you or anyone on our side has. The rebellion needs a leader. No one better I can think of."

OOC: I blame someone for this one...but I also forgive them. Meanwhile, check these out; electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/4799/operation-h3m-recruitment?page=1&scrollTo=24893 electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/4786/return-starfire-squadron -Nothing like some multitasking. Now we return you to your regularly scheduled updates. The Monorail; +State of the room: So the drama -Players: Star Patrol, Fortune, Trace & friends
“Please tell me that’s a joke,” the pirate wannabe Roach murmured at Fortune, not liking that he seemed to be next to a danger magnet. “It probably isn’t, which means I picked quite a friend. Never was a fan of trains, robberies were all the rage where I went. Quite glad they’re mostly phased out. And heck, can’t be robbed from a place like this,” he mused as they were now between skyscrapers, them several hundred stories high. With no reference point it’d be hard to say how big they were in relation to other buildings, but from their position, it’d take more than a single bound to leap them. Meanwhile, Star Patrol was in an interesting spot as they were being treated(mostly) kindly by Starfire Security Officer Ginger. “Well, you three have been most helpful...it’d be terrible if I couldn’t repay you all right as soon as I can, and she clearly is the most integral member for what you need to be done currently” she smirked, grinning and showing off some very sharp looking teeth. “I understand the situation may be awkward, but I am a great talker, and I assure you can trust me,” Ginger grinned wider, offering a hand so the two could make it to a remote part of the cart. Elsewhere in the cart, Trace was dealing with a very angelic looking woman. She composed herself and gave a soft smile. “I see, a place that’s nothing like anything you’ve known before? Not a fan of where you used to be? If you don’t ind, it’s just the cerebral part of me could exercise,” she joked. “I suppose I’m looking for someone instead of something,” she said with a sigh, clearly withholding something now. Lobby; +State of the Room: what’s that glowy thing? Probably nothin, ya? ? *Cafeteria/train station: -Players: Scarlett + Minerva Rajom & friends
OOC: see previous update. *Villain Orientation room: -Players: Krystal and Hirro Felidae, Maria/Pro, Emma, & friends
Whoever the GTS were to Prometeo and Maria, this one wasn’t so much a fanatic now that he had lost. About a second after being ordered to evacuate, the suit’s hatch popped open, and then quickly shut when the orders changed. He followed orders well, though Prometeo felt a heat signature quickly build up where the cats had been earlier. Hirro was completely relaxed looking, but if they turned, they’d see a grenade frozen in crystalline ice with a red glow bright. Though everyone had dove clear from an expected blast radius, even if Drago looked banged up from the save attempt. “Thanks Krystal, hehe, just like...school?” he grunted, clearly confused even as he had no idea what he just said. “I don’t think we ever went to school together...heh, I was homeschooled,” he mused, packing the thought and figuring Krystal would let it slide, sitting up with a groan, unfolding his wings since everyone seemed real casual about the bomb. Emma could see this all, but hr shadowy friend had turned tail and ditched away at the time. *Reach Wall interior: -Player: Nicholi D Trake
Despite sticking his communicator away, Nicholi's ears were able to subtly pick up a very...unique threat regarding ass if she was ever called mittens in earshot of him again. Baefire’s sister gave a small chuckle, also overhearing it apparently as they made it up a flight of stairs. “To be fair,I couldn’t imagine it being anyone else at this rate. I heard he was the second in command of sorts, but...you’re the leader now, right?” she asked. ‘Whether you like it or not, the new leaders aren’t very good. They have to be dealt with, and trust me- you are the best hope right now. I mean, we could argue, but I’ve got my wagers on you,” she said before chuckling to herself at using human lingo so fluently. She kept to her human form, something odd for a Volgren, even spies. “I can look into him more, but will he really pick up the slack from you if he’s not dead?” *Infirmary -Players: Orion & friends
Orion hardly got any silence before the Officer quickly responded. “Well, if you’re worse for wear, I might have to ask you to wait until the crisis is completely over before it’s over. Now, I figure the nurse to your right is antsy about you movin about...buuutt, I have some time to discuss our options. I am wave clearing the front lobby, so there’s time to convince me of your plight...I can be a reasonable man of course,” the gruff voice came over the radio, clearly impressed by Orion’s forwardness. Outskirts of Reach City;+State of the area: Bossfight! -Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends. While the flame throwing machine ignored Ursa bear, Ani felt several scorch marks on his tough hide, things getting too hot even for his rhino form and he didn’t even have seconds to tough it out. Meanwhile Dark Lizard saw the robotic bird girl step forward, figuring silence meant that he agreed to her demands. She readied a pressurized cannon before her winged jets readied to circle strafe the machine...something that Blue Fang might recognize. Still, up until now the anarchist burner was unimpeded, at least until a small tremor courtesy of Red Dragon shook up its legs which made the thing pause to reconsider itself, thought he flamethrower itself continued to burn away and Red Dragon could see it didn't stop that by a longshot. Nobody else seemed distracted by the tremor, but the tree Ursa was on was rocked by a small quake, making the tree a bit less stable for the several hundred pound bear boy.

The bear boy noted this would be tough. So sheer power didn't break it, he had two options. As a capoeirista, he knew power originated not from just the ground as other martial arts teach, but from the momentum this can provide. By building momentum he could deliver a kick far more powerful than the knee he'd used earlier, however, that would still likely fail to penetrate the armor. No, he had to knock em down. He built up momentum by avoiding the flames and when he had enough, he leaped in for a tesoura.
Ani turned into a bird to avoid the fire, He couldn't think of many ways to really get a clear attack at the robot. He played defense until He saw Ursa move in for the takedown. As he lunged, Ani dived in, trying to become a rhino and knock the robot down, adding his own momentum to the bear boy's. If this didn't knock it down, the duo was out of ideas, for now at least.
Dark Lizard thumbed up, wanting to get the hell out of here anyways. He started to head back towards the city, hoping he ran into rose again.
Minerva rolled her eyes. "Alright, fine, what kind of deal are we talking about here?" She asked, doing her best to stall for time, meanwhile Scarlet did her best to try sneaking nearer to the thief so she could apprehend them.

Fortune: "Unless they can fly." Fortune just tossed that thought out there. "So where are you from originally?"
StarPatrol: Kairi could sense the emotions coming from Ginger, it was mostly curiosity and a playful confidence, she didn't seem hostile or Kairi wouldn't agree to go anywhere with her. "Lead on then," Kairi said to Ginger letting her lead her to the other part of the car.
Sphinx watched the two go smiling, "It's good that we found some kind people. They could be great allies, guess we should take her up on her offer to stay at their base."
Trevor was people watching as he replied to Sphinx, "Yes quite right." He thought about asking if Sphinx realized the Lioness lady was flirting with him but thought better of it. He knew his friend was clueless about women, that coupled with a devotion to the job left him single.
