I wear a suit of armor when on a "mission" that gives me enhanced durability and powers my katana and makes it similar to a predator smart disc.

I'm aware of such beings but keep a close eye on anyone that has too much power

Nicholi: He looked down with a scowl at the questions. He really hated being asked stupid questions. Especially when they aren't asked to his face. He grumbled and started putting pen to paper.

The pen then snapped in his hand on accident. The annoyance making his grip too tense. He then stood up and handed it in. A stoic face as always before he turned his attention on the singing. Depending on how well it was done it could sound annoying due to his sense of hearing being so acute.

Trace: Trace sat down and crossed his legs with a bit of a playful smile. Wondering himself what kind of ways the humans thought they could get honest answers out of people through paper. He glanced down and was as amused as he'd hoped to be.

It was hilarious.

Eventually the newcomers were stuffed into the train and shipped off. The place was roomy but crowded; friends were made, so were enemies and most importantly a small sign of things to come was apparent. Most everybody managed to look past appearances, race, and species...so they could get on each other’s nerves for more mundane reasons. The ride was tedious for some, and quite exciting for others but the destination was the same to all. They arrived to the great walled city(picture for scale) with a pathway leading right inside...after a rough stop of course. There was some difficulty getting into the main gate, but the group was let out into the lobby where they could do what they pleased.

The three tram cars worth of passengers scattered on arrival, splintered into groups of newfound friends or resigned themselves to staying solo and observing the alien surroundings. Time passed as planned: if you weren't in an Orientation room waiting for the welcome banner, other people to mingle with were in large supply. Everything was going perfectly...then the building rocked.
OOC: Alright folks,this might be familiar to veterans, but for newcomers- the Reach City gateway is a very big place, not everyone is going to be in the same place so different sections will be separated by titles like this and this. After that, bullet points will be put under those so keep an eye out for your character name, especially if it’s shared with others because that means you guys are literally in shouting distance and very likely to be interacting with one another. Be warned these are usually big posts so without further ado let’s see where everyone is;

Hero Orientation room; The Hero orientation room was where all of the upstarts and newcomers in general are pointed to go. For anyone who couldn’t grab the pamphlet before it ran out would have a second chance to get up to speed...or they would have if fate had been kinder. Instead the back wall of the room exploded a minute into the presentation, sending everyone for a loop.
State of the room- The big boom shocks the hell out of a lot of folks in the orientation room. As the dust settled, several mysterious figures appear and begin tossing grenades as the people in the room as they were recovering from the first explosion. The room practically shakes a second time from the combined blast, but most of the impact was reduced to igniting the first 1/3rd of the room with grenades of all types.

The chaos in the room had contained some when the incoming baddies had met firm resistance, possibly saving a few lives. Gunfire erupts and several would-be heroes charge the ranks.The battle was hectic but nobody could tell if the tide was turning or not so unless they wished to stick around or jump in, leaving was the safer. The entrance door was practically the only exit and it was quickly being flooded as most of the room tried to escape so decision time was more important than ever. The timeframe everyone had was constrained further as a large molten beast was now the biggest person in the room by far and he wasn't on the good guy's side.

Just as things began to look it’s worst….it began to rain. Someone set off the fire sprinklers.

Vs Eruption, the man of lava;
Players:Ursa Rajom(Jesus#’s)
Nicholi D. Trake, Trace(DJGambrell),
&co.(NPC’s)-
Anyone who wanted to thank or scold the person who set off the sprinklers would have to find Ursa Rajom, a very large werebear who has been taking the fight to the molten man. For the moment his plan, whatever it was, has been panning out very well. No flamethrower units, who had come out accompanying the magma man, were left on the forefront but Eruption himself was not happy with the large output of water landing on his outer shell of a body, hardening it some. The glowing magma inside faded a bit as steam rose off his frame due to the high output of the sprinklers. If nothing else, he was distracted enough to take his eye off the fighters who had challenged him and in Ursa's case he was free to try and bite away. He looked closer to a bear than a human at this point, his charge forward went unimpeded, wet floor and all. His bite lands around Eruption's arm, the initial chomp is hard but it only just barely cracks the outer lava rock shell. Ursa could take his move from there, but Eruption seemed strong enough to lift the bear semihuman(as he liked to be called) despite his large size and just from touching him, Ursa was running the risk of burning himself on the still-hot core as Eruption attempted to mount a counter attack.

While the bear-man took Eruption head on a different kind of half-beast, Nicholi D. Trake the (half)demon wolf, had finished up depriving a few of the mechanical mooks of their heads with some assistance from a few sharpshooters. Now that he was freed up, his new friend could communicate with him better. A small fish-man had taken to following him around and Nicholi learned earlier that he was a hydrokinetic. Halfway into explaining how water could hurt the gigantic lava man, the sprinklers started to drench the two and most of the rest of the room. The timing was nearly perfect, regardless 'Trout' had water to work with. He gives Nicholi a dumbfounded look at the odds of this happening.

"Right...give me some time” he grunts, rubbing his right arm before focusing. He had a plan at least, but he was too busy enacting it to share the details. What Nicholi did next would be independent from his friend's actions. The son of Satan, Trace was having even less luck tag-teaming with his new friend. Derrick, a speedster with some fancy duds, normally would've been all for trying the old vaccum trick, running around the lava-man in hopes of bringing him down with a tornado but Ursa's entire set of actions left him hesitating. With the floor wet and Ursa taking first strike on Eruption, Derrick had to face Trace and reluctantly give a no-go sign for his plan.

"Too many variables!" he shouts back. Between slipping up in the water and Ursa in the way of the tornado, Derrick feared that someone else could get hurt in the collateral, but he was still ready for a fight. Eruption roars as he claws for Ursa before he could try to do anything else 'bothersome'.

*Main battle with the intruders;
Players: Animalius and Minerva Rajom(Jesus#’s)
Star Patrol Captain James Sphinx, Fortune,(Mercenaryblade)
& co.(NPC’s) -
The battle was less grandiose than the fight with Eruption, but precise shots we're being exchanged by the four or so robots remaining. They were being more tactically sound, keeping on the move and utilizing suppressive fire to keep Sphinx and his retreating group from getting the upper hand. Sphinx's advice of falling back during the lull in combat rang out to the posse he raised, but suppressive fire from all but two of his allies continued on since there was not much between them and innocent bystanders. Sphinx didn't have much to work with and while backup was coming it wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Several men charge the remaining robots and whoever else dared to come out behind the broken wall.

Fortune was one of these men but he'd need a bit of a head of steam to keep up with his new pal Drago, who strode over in the direction of the gun-firing robots. Drago twirled his blades before making it so the flat side was covering his mid-section. The buster swords were long enough for this job and he was at least confident in his weapons' ability to survive high caliber gunfire. The large oxen man who seemed to volunteer as well was even less careful; wading forward with intent to rip apart the machines with his bare fists but unless Fortune wanted to fall in behind either being he'd need his own method of avoiding a counter-attack. The area was fairly clear aside from some stragglers or corpses littering the pathway. Though both him and Sphinx would spot some individuals take the break in extended firing to enter a bit more loudly.

Animalius had a clear path and his shape shifting abilities made morphing into a rhino simple. His new form got pretty much all of the attention. He had a beeline right for the robots gunning away at the charging group. The robots would also notice, not firing away but they would be able to scatter if Ani went to bowl over the group. That plan was up in the air, but Ani's momentum could easily lead him into the fight with the lava man instead, who was dealing with a large bear-a among other things. In the wake of the assault, a woman in owl-themed combat gear(Minerva) managed to floor one of the recovering bots with a flying kick to the chest. Though not out, the robot was knocked down, eliminating one shooter for the moment, but she quickly realized she was officially in a crossfire.

Real first-responders were on their way but their job was to suppress the threat, rescue would have to come after Eruption and whoever else he brought was taken care of.



Lobby; This is where things get their start, or should have. The dangers of what was going on in the orientation rooms were not known, and if security had any say in it, the situation would be handled before anything got too messy...the odds of this happening were quickly reaching 0% however.
State of the room- Confusion. Nobody wanted to answer any questions, yet every turn you took people were looking nervous and running around like there was a fire. Yet, whoever was still around exclaimed that everything was normal even as things began falling apart at the seams. Everything was connected, but the officials were doing a fair job of keeping people out of the loop.

Nurse's office;
Players: Maria/Prometheus(Ruinus)
Krystal and Hirro Felidae(Ham)-
This small group had decided to avoid the Hero Orientation room altogether, instead deciding to ask the local medical staff a few general questions in the mean time. It proved to be a good call as it seemed. As things get more suspicious, it becomes more transparent that something is terribly wrong. Maria, the Felidae twins, and their new friend Kendra McCrimmon watch on as a group of oddly dressed individuals do an evaluation of the current situation...whatever it was. Their fourth friend, known as Tundra Wolf, quickly slipped away to discuss with them. As a young member who went by Abigail tried to keep the ragtag group busy, Pro's 'interruption' about hacking the radio coms got plenty of attention in the room. Especially the higher-ups’. ‘Pro’ spoke about a planned vehicle evac and Maria barely finished her question about it before Albatross, the lady in charge of the Guardians, responded.

"Yeah, a monorail in the north part of the building, it was supposed to drop the newbies off right in the main part of the city once Orientation's done...guess it's done." she heaves wearily, unable to believe all this happened on her watch. "Anyways RCPD(Reach City Police Department) and Starfire(security firm) has got guys sweeping the area to make sure it's not booby trapped before we claim the thing's a viable exit. Whatever you picked up was probably one of their officers..." she comments before a woman who seemed to have fairy wings, presumably another super hero, responds.

"That was definitely Missionary, one of their TRU(Tactical Reaction Unit) squad members. I know that yell anywhere..." she muses. Albatross shrugs, taking that as confirmation.

"I think they got sent into the Orientation rooms, that's where we have the biggest breech from what I know. We can probably help from there if we need to, not far from here and....and where did you get that transmission?" Albatross asks curiously, cutting off her own explanation. She was starting to think about how hard it was for their radio frequencies to be unscrambled and how Maria did it in the few minutes they had been eavesdropping. "You GEAR tech or what?" she says in an almost accusatory manner. Though it was primarily stress that caused the lack of tact.

Escape from the Orientation room;
Players: Star patrol members Kari and Trevor(Mercenaryblade)
&co.(NPC’s)-
The rest of the Star Patrol members were successful in helping evacuate a few wayward individuals who didn’t want to be in the middle of the fighting. Among them was an older man who went by Thompson. He was a retired hero and was supposed to have spoken during the Orientation. He is silent as the duo get close to the exit and spot two police officers they had seen earlier.Officer Liz, a lizard woman, gives a nod as she tries to make sure her rifle wasn't compromised by the sprinkler water.Both her’s and Thompson’s radios were buzzing but the crowd made the task of grabbing them difficult. Once everyone was close enough, Liz shouted some more before speaking specifically to Trevor.

"We'll assist once we're not all washed up." she quips before assisting her partner Officer Vasquez in making sure everyone knew they should be leaving the room post-haste and judging by /her/ current demeanor, it was probably wise to not make the pissed off catgirl with a gun repeat herself.

With that in mind, the civvies finally began to pour out of the room.The overall setting of things we're becoming much more different than the almost formal tone given out earlier. Most people left were either in the midst of running somewhere or we're too confused to pick a direction to run in. The pathway Officer Vasquez pointed out was noted with the majority of people running in that direction. If they took her word for it; they'd be led to a monorail station. However a handful of people were shouting certain words like alternate and emergency exit. A pathway to their left did have a few people running and some security was trying to check for alternate ways the villains could enter. However there simply weren't enough people to properly nudge everyone in the right direction. The entrance they came to even had some activity going on so it was down to where everyone wanted to go.

Bathroom break:
Players: Scarlett the shark girl(Jesus#’s)
Felicity Fortune(Lawman)
The restroom was mostly empty, save for a few individuals who picked the wrong time to have a bathroom break. Felicity took a break from her photo op to make herself decent after a tram ride with sweaty people. She was finishing up her business when to her left, she had the chance to eavesdrop on a very interesting conversation.

Scarlett had just gotten on her break and relieving herself wasn’t a bad idea. After having taken the tram ride for the third time that month she was a bit cramped and probably in need of a massage. Unfortunately she wasn’t going to have a chance to enjoy her break because her radio went off.

“Frenzy, come in. Report to emergency point Beta. Keep on the lookout ok? It could get hairy” came a female voice. Scarlett recognized it as her immediate martial arts mentor, Tumbler aka Fan Lin. Emergency point Beta was by the monorail that headed to the heart of Reach City, but Orientations weren’t supposed to be over for another half hour or so which could easily set off a few alarms to the rookie hero. Felicity was small enough to not be noticed in the stall next to her and lucky enough to hear every single word of the following conversation. It sounded like some people needed help.

Monorail station/food court:
Players: Kain
A sharply dressed man with hidden intentions was calmly waiting in the waiting area looking over what he could order from the food court aisle. For a place with living superheroes, there wasn’t exactly a super selection. He was supposed to be meeting an associate who could connect him to the proper landowners and Businessman so he could attempt to get a foothold in the city. Of course she was a few minutes late, she stated that she would need to check in with a few things upon arrival but it was ten minutes past the assigned time and she hadn’t responded to any texts.

He heard a few odd voices, they were far away. Way near the lobby, he could make out a few panicked noises, though even with his enhanced senses, he’d really need to get a better spot to properly eavesdrop. It was odd though, things had been too quiet for the last while and not in a good way. An old warrior’s instincts tended not to be wrong, but it could just be some eagerness after the excruciatingly long tram-ride to get this far.

To add to the curiosity several security guards seemed to be inspecting the monorail, some police officers and others men with the same patch as the men who held the front gate. Directly questioning them might bring some attention to himself, but Kain was free to do whatever he pleased.



Villain orientation room; The other side of the coin to being a hero. While the idea of voluntarily setting up a room for wanna-be villains seems like an odd decision to make, the hosters of the event have taken on the belief that someone about to make a risky decision is better off making it informed. Unfortunately the current group would never know what their Orientation would consist of, as someone was gunning for them and their kind.
State of the room- A massacre. Individuals in armor had managed to infiltrate the room and almost succeeded in holding the inhabitants hostage after forcefully bringing down several of the onlookers. These men were following the will of a secret organization, they were designated GTS(‘Gifted’ Terminator Squadron) and given the best equipment and training possible. Their mission was to destroy superhumans and villains alike and this was the perfect place to start.

Player: The Dark Lizard(Jesus#'s)
+friend(NPC)-
Dark Lizard's near bout of insanity while trying to cause a distraction helpd his new friend Rose opened the door unnoticed, but was met with stares rather than gunfire. Rose who took the moment of surprise to decide that if she was going to be melting all the metal anyways she might as well go all-or-nothing. She plunges her fist into the middle of the detonator mechanism that was keeping the door from being opened regularly and focuses her disintegration powers, she specialized in destroying metal. This seemed to work as a big guy who had been close by sees the device crumple to the floor and he helps with a solid kick to the door knob. The door was 'unlocked' but didn't swing all the way open.

There was some commotion on the other side and the door fully opened revealing a bomb squad technician and two accompanying officers on the other side. He was in the middle of attempting their own diffusal so Rose and the technician share shocked glances with each other. Just behind the police, there was plenty of chaos outside with a lot of people running past the room and even more going right and up. By this point the would-be escapees were definitely noticed...

"Don't let em get away!" a female GTS Officer shouts and the remaining heavy gunner opens fire on everyone by the door frame with Rose the prime target.

Fortune: He sprinted to keep up with Drago, he stayed directly behind the dragon being using his large frame to screen him from the enemies fire and vision, he kept his own saber at the ready the sword was now wreathed in fire a sign that it was in the presense of true evil. "It's Bull-Run all over again, but worse." Fortune declared, it wasn't the first time he'd had to charge headlong into enemy fire, he'd been lucky not to be fatally shot each time though he had been wounded more times than he'd care to admit it was a miracle he still had all of his limbs. Fortune prayed his luck would not betray him this day.

Star Patrol

Captain Sphinx: They were stuck in a tactical nightmare, both sides were attempting to use suppresive fire and to make matters even worse several of their allies were charging headlong into enemy fire attempting to engage in mele combat. Maybe it wasn't their best move but they seemed confident and it did give the droids more targets to worry about. He fired on yet another bot. "Keep falling back and firing! Stay low!" He shouted as they inched toward the cops. Hopefully the bots had too many targets especially those closing in on them they could get away to a better position. They couldn't hold the room, not without cover or backup, the best they could do was try an orderly retreat till an oppurtunity presented itself. Still the civiliains were being given an oppurtunity to escape.

Trevor and Kari: Despite everything neither Trevor or Kari were leaving, for one they didn't consider themselves civilians, and secondly they weren't leaving their captain behind who was in a firefight. "There's got to be a way to scramble those bots circuits." Kari said. 

"What I wouldn't give for a bot popper." Trevor grouched. 

An idea occured to Kari, "I'll be back." She declared. "Kari? Where are you going?" Trevor shouted. But she ignored him, grumbling he took a prone position with his staff and crawled forward behind the two officers.   

Kari meanwhile was looking for the maintenance closet, if she could just find the right materials...    

Krystal and Hirro agreed with Maria's suggestion. Hirro looked around the room they were in as he talked "She's right, you can have your radio talk later, right now as she said is try to secure this area...Got any ideas?" His ears perked up, ready to hear anything that could help this situation.

Krystal went over to the nurses and asked if they needed any need extra hands, to her they looked like they were stretched thin. She has some medical knowledge, nothing to advanced, but she'd wants to help in anyway she can.
