Getting shot in her new body was an uncomfortable experience. Maria looked down and saw her "skin" shift into chrome, the machinery that made up her body temporarily disrupted and failing to upkeep her human appearance. At the tip of the bullet she felt a numbness, the lack of sensation from the nanolathe that had been destroyed by the impact, surrounded by the "pain" the rest of her body registered. All in all, it felt like someone was jabbing their finger deep into her stomach. Not the worst of pain, but not comfortable either. The worst feeling came whenever a bullet completely shot through her, a hole left in her body.
Especially when it was through her face.
The pain wasn't different. She always felt the same dull pain no matter how badly her body was damaged, but it really freaked her out to be missing eyes, a jaw, a tongue and windpipe and be completely fine.
Maria frowned and growled as her face reformed and molded itself together, her liquid chrome innards "bleeding" out the dead nanolathe that didn't survive the bullet's impact. She focused on the man in some sort of heavy armor, PRO guessed it was some sort of powered armor system based on the way it seemed to carry its own weight and the small heat signatures on its back. She was amazed when ice ripped out of the ground and wounded the man, while PRO nearly squealed in scientific curiosity.
"Going for the joints!" she yelled out to her friends, seeing one of the icicles puncture the somewhat less protected articulation points. She sprinted towards the armored enemy, her fingers forming long claws which she hoped she could slide through the joint armor and slice up the person inside.
I doubt he's as tough as his armor, Maria thought to PRO, hoping her newfound buddies would be able to fire on the guy without hitting her.

OOC: coub.com/view/3aw73
“heh...I’m glad,” she smiled before looking over. “Are all of these people…” Cassie started to ask Orion when they were interrupted.
“Taken from the Heroes Orientation room,” the now-tired nurse spoke out. Another nurse grabbed her and took her aside as Gravity girl looked on in amazement. “Heh...heck of a first day. Now what do we do?” OOC: Wow, I've been ignoring Orion for awhile SOUTH STAR'S COOL THING:Orion thought for a few moments. They had been through a lot, and both earned some rest. He assumed the original orientation plans were canceled, but he had already talked to who he wanted. "I wonder if we can track down that officer I was talking to," Orion says, thinking back to when they arrived and he found his way to the Reach City PD table. The idea of working with the police made him nervous, but he knew he had to come clean if he wanted to be a true hero here in Reach City. He just hoped they'd be understanding. Outskirts of Reach City; +State of the area: Bit of a Clusterf*ck -Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends.
Travis' act was quite clever, and the water spread as it hit it's apex. With time, this could easily disappate the fire spread, but he realized that a nearby support beam looked like it'd been through 12 rounds with a massive soldering iron. It didn't look stable despite another hero's efforts. On the note of heroes, the smg wielding beastman stopped upon realizing the colorful spandex and the completely non-matching MO of the crystal shield stopped his fire. "Hero? As a member of Starfire Security, identify because you're in the middle of a damn warzone and you picked a bad place to enter from!!" he shouted when Cody saw a fireball head for the beast's way.
Outskirts of Reach City; +State of the area: Bit of a Clusterf*ck still-Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends.
As the brothers of primary colors decided what to do about the failing support beam and the flame troopers, Ursa got his wish and was put out by the water hose girl, though a molotov coctail was flung at her, bouncing off her armor and pissing her off and 4 men of the same type were trying to rain fire on her as well. As Cody was held up by the beastman with the paramilitary gear, a fireball ignited his clothing and back, causing him to howl in pain, dropping to the floor. The tree lift took awhile for Dark Lizard to accomplish, but eventually, after everyone else had moved, it was uprooted. The large man was swiped away and out of the fight, but at this point he saw 6 threats in total, four with molatovs, one more large man, and a final leader in sleek armor while two of his allies were on fire- the mecha bird girl who was now mad and on fire, and a beastman soldier who was in agony now. All the while, Ani might have started regaining conscious provided he wasn't too screwed up in the last fight. Red Dragon's Cool ThingFirst order of business, answer the officer and prove himself useful. "The name's Red Dragon," he had hoped the legacy named had enough weight to be enough, since he was still trying to keep the charade of being the original, "Hero of Opal City, newly relocated to Reach. I'm used to Warzones and I'm here to help." Normally, Travis would ask for a situation report - but there was plenty that needed addressed immediately. If he wanted to prove himself, he needed to analyze the situation and take initiative. Red Dragon noticed a troop of fire monsters and a support beam that needed addressing He hoped that the officer wouldn't do anything to try and stop him. Travis eyeball estimated a clear path to the fire troopers, and spun around the officer he had been speaking to and draw-slashed his sword in the direction of the enemy. The move would send a wave of dirt at the fire troopers, in hopes of slowing them down or smothering their fire. In one fluid motion, Travis went from slashing at the enemy to stabbing his sword into the ground and attempting to raise a pillar of stone from the ground to try and brace the beam.

Monorail: Scarlett went for a very straightforward charge, her muscles propelling her forward after the smaller gymnast. She did her best to motion for people to please get out of her way. Minerva on the other hand focused on the legs. Perhaps there was a device helping her acrobatics. Some sparks might shut it down. She tried to shoot small sparks at her, not enough to start a fire or really damage people, but if she got the leggings, they might just burn.
Outskirts: Ursa noted the people shooting fire and kept track of the location, but for now the fire had tired him out quite a bit. He dashed in and tried a dropkick on the nearest one, deciding to handle one more before making his escape. Dark Lizard however did not have that opportunity, he tossed the tree at the 6 and tried hiding in the forest, he needed to switch forms, his own muscles were weaker than they should be, and he was getting tired. Animalius had no desire to flee though. Unlike the others, he had not yet experienced this fight, and his lust for battle urged him on. He looked around, trying to pinpoint the poor robotic pyro he'd destroy first.

Fortune: He gazed evenly at Roach. "You sure you don't have something you want to share? Because I could go one for hours about things."
StarPatrol: Sphinx blushed a bit his hand ging to the bck of his neck, "Ahem, well just general information is what we're seeking, and unusual sightings. As for staying at your base. Well....
He looked at Trevor who shrugged, Kairi scowled. "We'll keep that option open, might be our best option though, we don't really have anything for local currency. Though given the reactions my name has triggered that might aw a lot of attention our way."
Trevor nodded, "Quite right. We appreciate the invite, and we'll probably take you up on it."
Kairi fumed a bit, she wanted this feline lady to take a hike. Putting her best smile on Kairi addressed Ginger. "We appreciate the help, but we must be taking up your time, isn't there other's that need you right now?"

Nicholi: He wasn't quite sure how to respond to that question. Based on just what he knew of his species and what he could assume could be done about it he jsut coded back "Hold." before continuing.
He didn't do much to hide his annoyance as she spoke. It irked him to no end. She was definitely a talker. Though no matter how much she spoke it didn't help that she was whinign as far as he was concerned. He wasn't one to do that. He didn't vent his problems he did somethign about them. Nor did he expect repayment for anything he wasn't owed.
He dropped his sword in front of him and let his grandfathers words be heard. Telepathically telling him to be the diplomat between them.
"If you want to honor your sister start by not calling her a mewling pup. She died making her own choices. She may have kneeled but in her heart she never stood taller. You're at least a hundred years older than I am but you still have a ways to go if you don't even understand that." He gave a bit of a sneering derisive look. "You wanna help me? Showing the hate you have isn't the best start!"
Trace: Trace raised his hands as he was flumoxed by the thought. "Down to the moment? Oh of course not its not like I'm some sort of unearthly all powerful being who can look into the strands of fate and see that 'Ah yes if I move this leaf a bit tot he left it will tickle this mans nose giving me the option to finally bring him down.' No not that much. However I can tell... Mhm..." He raised his finger and licked it as if feeling the direction of the wind. "Derrick and Dave will be seeing me soon. With... Is that fire or danger? Or dangerous fire? Or are they on fire? Oh no..." He was now about to expect the worst soon here.

Krystal stopped a bit and dropped the chairs, surprised of the mans challenge. "Eh?" She didn't mind it at all, just usually people scatter about now, for you know, their safety. Though she takes the challenge, standing confidently she speaks
"Ok, but, you'll be sorrry." Wagging her finger before reaching behind her to grab her glaive, giving it a little shake to release its blades. "Give it your all!" She growls, reading her stance.
------------
Hirro only saw a bit of the end of Maria's 'regen' which he hoped hes going to be able to forget. Though glad she was ok, he smirked a bit as it reminded him of his sister. Which he takes a quick glance over to see her being challenged by either a very confused person, or he had something up his sleeve.

The Monorail; +State of the room: -Players: Star Patrol, Fortune, Trace & friends
Fortune as prodding his new friend, but despite clearly looking away from his side window, had a great poker face up as he gave Fortune the floor. "No please, do ramble on. It makes me feel younger when I find a man who so enjoys that," he chuckled, still tense as he gripped his blade. Elsewhere on the train, tensions were high as Ginger looked over to Kairi, picking up the subtext in her comment. She smiled slyly, before taking a seat near Sphinx and Trevor.
"Well, to be honest you three are my responsibility. It's true, things are pretty crazy, but GEAR and RCPD are cracking down, which leaves Starfire Security to handle evacuation and helping civilians...which ya'll are," she smiled. "As for any question you have access to the city public databases and I'll be here to direct you in the right questions that'll help, good sir, including that bit about the name. Housing though...well, I mean if you don't mind...bunking, whether it be with each other or with other staff to get friendly," she smiled. Finally, Trace's new friend meanwhile had a small grin as he spoke on, weaving words with some meaning. Though when he got to the last part, she got serious just as quickly.
"Fire?" the beautiful woman asked. "Wait wait, you can actually see the future?" she asked, a bit too distressed at that possibility before bracing for...something involving dangerous fire. As he pondered what fire could involve, a not-on fire Dave returned in a flash, asking if either of them wanted something to drink while they were away. Though he took a moment to nudge Trace in a congratulatory manner.

The fire sparks connected, burning the rest of the cloth which she shed to reveal sophisticated powered armor in sleek black, the woman's face covered by a toned visor. She giggled before speeding out out of Scarlett's catch-up zone. Tumbler did her best to keep up, sprinting as fast as her muscles could take her, expecting a long distance run as she motioned for Scarlett to try and flank by taking different hallway paths.
"It's Magpie!" she shouted, pointing out she was on a Most Wanted's list and was an ex-Guardian...a good one at that. Though odds were the meaning of that name was lost on Minerva as she saw the world's most expensive purse snatcher.
*Villain Orientation room: -Players: Krystal and Hirro Felidae, Maria/Pro, Emma, & friends.
Krystal saw the GTS soldier twirl his baton before hoping to put a stop to her powerful leaps by going in first while she took a defensive stance with a fast jab to the kneecaps, using his other arm defensively, counting on his armor to soften any impact she sent at him. Drago ran in by that point, further muddling the shadey man's aim. He leapt into the fray, hoping to capitalize after the exchange between the armored soldier and Krystal.
"Careful Krystal!" he shouted, whether or not her name was shared beforehand. As Emma and Hirro looked on at the two-pronged fights, Maria saw her opportunity and took some action. The machine didn't get very far in sitting up when she stabbed through the exposed joint. Wires and circuitry were sliced into, though she hit more solid metal before hitting flesh as how har she could stab plateaued. Her blades were making progress, but the core operator system the man was in seemed to be better armor than Maria had hoped, not that Pro couldn't figure out exactly how much. nevertheless, the rustling bought her time from a counter attack, at least for now.
*Reach Wall sub-level:

Balbadd spoke from the blade, seemingly understanding the women's plea and trying to exposit towards him.
"I think you've put her in her place, Grandson. However, you may not remember the family line she came from, but they bred loyalty based off a specific incident where your father tasked traitors to earn back their worth. It was a group kept in line further by Luminox and several other loyal Lieutenants..."
"You're not as rash as they'd like me to believe...and your other understands me well," she noted, taking a less on-edge personality. "elieve it or not, in most gorups, if there is any dismay or anger between ranks, sometimes it's best to get it out than let it fester and cloud judgement. I blame much on you...some maybe I shouldn't, but I leave things to you...I wish to believe that she died with more honor than I could hope to get, but I've seen backstabbers. In some cases I am one, so let me be blunt as you prefer, one hoping to kill you would take your answer at face value and move on. Despite my very true feelings towards you, and uncertainty that they'll go away, I only want to make her death and sacrifice worth it. That is how I can avenge her, rather than an attempt at your life," she said, dropping to her knees.
"Nicholi, your father had punishments for those that wished to get back on his good side, as rare as that occasion was...seems she's requesting one. Although, I wouldn't go too extravagant if you accept," Balbadd whispered.
*Infirmary Players: Orion & friends
"Well, maybe they'll b easy to find...I mean that's what defenders do right?" Gravity Girl asked as the second nurse took over.
"I'm sorry did you consider going /back/ out there? I'm sure I can arrange an alternative," she frowned, and she seemed dead set o fulfiling that so long as they didn't throw themselves back in danger

It seemed Red Dragon did't notice the Beatman's plea, but the dirt seemed to fend off the enemies for now and stem the fire whic allowed a girl in winged armor to try and flank the remaining beasts, flying past Blue Fang. With the hecticness going on around, Travis did prop up the support beam well enough. Although unless he got all angles, too hard a shove would send it the opposite direction of the intended splint.
Although on the subject of dirt flinging, bear boy Ursa and Ani took some as they closed in on their targets(though they recognized the effort to put out the fire. Nevertheless, they had similar success in finding their opponents, but Ursa had to avoid a giant tree before he was crushed along witht wo unlucky footsoldiers. The armored pyro seemed to observe, readying something, and not giving a damn about Animalius.

Fortune: "Rather tense there aren't you?" Fortune said. "I remember once being in a train robbery, didn't end well, I can still see those wheels stained red."
StarPatrol: Sphinx was blushing a bit more, as Ginger sat near him, he decided to try and make some casual conversation. "Civilians? Haven't been called that in awhile. We're what passes for a navy back home. Though really we're just supposed to be keeping the peace and upholding the law. Well I guess housing is as good a place as any, we just need to relax and unwind. A bit on edge right now."
Trevor cleared his throat "Yes, you have to excuse us, we're still catching our breath so to speak. Everything is so terribly different and we've been in one dangerous situation after another."
NO! Kairi thought, she wasn't liking this. The emotions coming from Sphinx and Ginger were intolerable. She would rather they stayed in a rundown building than anywhere this woman recommended. Silly talk Kairi, you know it's the best option. But she still fumed, Just don't start touching him. She thought.
She had to do something though, something to get Ginger's attention away from her... target. "Who were those people we fought? How'd they manage to stage such an attack?" Maybe that would divert her attention.

Trace: He was about to speak before being nudged by Dave. He looked at him and just pushed him like he didn't understand. Though he did it amused him to play the fool. "I'm fine thank you, Dave." he then looked back to Ali.
"Not see the future no. Come now that's just ridiculous at this point in the game. He chuckled to himself. Always funnier to him than to anyone else. "I just have kind of this 108th sense of when something bad is about to happen. Especially with fire! But come on now. Whats the worst that could happen?" He said shrugging.
Nicholi: he listened to them intently despite his disinterest in the whole of the problem. He sheathed his grandfather and walked up to her. Even on her knees she was still about or maybe even above his height. He thought about what his dad would do... and punched her square between the eyes.
He was lucky he was trained or that would've broken every bone in his hand. "I don't give a damn what my dad would do in this situation, grandpa. He was a far sight different from me. I don't have the same options. If you want to help me then leave. Get me information on whats going on in the other world. I need insurgents and someone on the inside. You can do that then its at least a start."

Scarlett: "Tumbler, there's too many people, I'm heading to the roof and I'll cut him off." She yelled, before trying to find the emergency exit to the roof, leaping up to it, opening it up, and getting up there, continuing to sprint at her full speed, now with nothing slowing her down. She did her best to follow the smell, she could definitely keep up, but she could feel her body beginning to tire a bit.
Minerva: That was probably a terrible plan, but the shark lady wasn't doing too much anyways. Though honestly, she should've tried ruining the tech. Oh well. Minerva would continue acrobatically chasing down tumbler, trying to analyze the tech she was using and trying to remember any weakness her tech genius past might give her.
Ursa: Heh... giant tree being thrown out of him? He might as well have stayed home. He tried to leap away, his athletic and powerful body could easily allow him to escape this as he looked for a nice hiding place to avoid most of the rest of the fight. He'd look out for any easy pickings but for the most part he would take a more passive role for now.
Animalius: The animal shifter wanted nothing like what his brother wanted. He turned into a rhino and tried knocking the first person in his way down and he'd try slamming them with his horn. He'd turn into a cheetah now and look for more prey. Following the heat of course, the first armored pyro he saw would have a gorilla fist in their face at cheetah speeds.

"Ah, no mames," Maria spat, seeing the armored man continue despite the wound she'd inflicted. She concentrated on the claws she'd dug into the man and serrated them into several jagged hooks, her other hand forming a great cleaver that she attempted to bring down on his hand, hoping to separate it from the gun he was using to fire on the other heroes.

The Monorail;
+State of the room:
-Players: Star Patrol, Fortune, Trace & friends
IMPORTANT: As everyone mingled and hung out as they waited for their next stop, there was some minor turbulence as they seemed to have the monorail run over something. Luckily, the machine kept rolling through and not toppling over and killing everyone as it careened to the floor below.
"Heh, well if you think a tale of gore and death will freak me out, then you really underestimate what it takes to freak me out," Roach mused at Fortune before hitting the turbulant spot. He immediately panicked and ducked for cover, expecting some pain(and death for everyone else) before eyeing and seeing they lived. "Hmm...good story," he grumbled at the coincidence. The bump got Ginger a bit worried, but she managed to calm down quickly enough and answer the questions set forth by Star Patrol.
"Ahem, minor issue, nothing wrong then. This means you will be able to take as much time to catch your breath as necessary. I can refrain from calling you civvies if it helps, but if you do wanna do anything heroic I'd see with the RCPD and Starfire to see about any deputizing. Lest we leave it up to standard Good Samaritan and Silver Platter laws," she mused. "Then you can explain about your world a little bit, maybe?" she commented, getting comfy before hearing Kairi's question as she was seconds from touching Sphinx's shoulder to get comfy. Showing politeness, with a hint of bitterness that Kairi could sense easily, she smiled again before backing off. "Well, that's the thing that took awhile to find out. Firebug terrorists on the perimenter. GTS, basically superpowered hunters and a nasty sort, attacking Orientation rooms, and assorted single villains running amuck. It doesn't add up. The place is a safe haven, sort of an armistice so nobody does anything rash on the first day. Seems like someone is wanting to keep newcomers out, but in the long run that helps no one. Someone's managed to make this alliance sound good to all parties while forwarding their agenda. We are questioning captured villains at the moment."
Elsewhere, Trace felt the bump, it nowhere enough to mess with him but nearly knocking Dave over. Ali wasn't prepared for it and was knocked flat into Trace, grabbing onto him for balance.
"..." she was silent before slowly trying to back off. "I see. Ahem, if that's all that was the problem, then I suppose your sense overestimated what could go wrong. Odd since that phrase tends to exacerbate it," she said, trying to ignore the..embrace. Dave had a poker face before saying he should get Derrick to see if he survived the turbulence while the train sped off towards the city, nearly at the drop off zone.
Lobby;
+State of the Room: Empty, but still quite loud
*Cafeteria/train station:
-Players: Scarlett + Minerva Rajom & friends
Scarlett managed to find a fire door that led her above. Although with her outside and the trail still going inside, she needed a quick action before she got gassed. Tumbler kept up with magpie, running and dodging trash and various objects that were strewn around in the hallway. She started to make progress, but Magpie seemed to be playing around more than anything. The suit was hard for even Minerva to place it might've been the generic black finish but aside from being an enhancing exosuit, the maker didn't leave any particular touches that'd lend it to being made by anyone she knew...unless the bird motif was the hint. Tumbler seemed to know as she tried to set up a great last ditch leap as everyone turned into a straightaway. it'd be like that for awhile.
*Villain Orientation room:
-Players: Krystal and Hirro Felidae, Maria/Pro, Emma, & friends
The knee strike back courtesy of Krystal was enough to knock the soldier forward into a faceplant as he slammed and dropped the baton. She couldn't tell if the armor saved his knee from turning into mush, but at that moment the remaining two got their barrier shield back up, along with a grenade surprise. They rolled it under before hiding behind their barrier.
"NooO!" Drago shouted before leaping into a defensive position to protect Krystal, raising his swords flat side facing him to protect their vitals. That seemed like a good signal for Emma or Hirro to help, but Maria's newly formed hooks and chopper were a sight to behold in it's own right if they were to play to continue playing passive. Maria was bot-handling the powered armor, the combined attacks a bit too much for the single pilot. Tundra watched to see her work and hoped she could reign in her emotions as the cleaver sliced a good portio of the way through the gun, causing a number of sparks and...oil to spurt out while the hooks made the progress her normal blades didn't. The man lucked out for that second that it wasn't his hand that was lost, but he was helpless as the Silver woman made her first arrest. Unless she yanked a bit more and tore off the remaining armor along with the operative's ribcage.
*Reach Wall sub-level:
-Player: Nicholi D Trake
In all honesty, Baefire's sister expected a slightly less clean death than what her sister got. A bloodied forehead was something she didn't think she deserved, but she clutched her face all the same, dropping to her back from the impact if it made Nicholi feel better. She groaned before her ears perked at Nicholi's ultimatum.
"I agree to your request...ehehe, but you won't rid yourself of me so easily. Don't think I would not expect such a request...I have detailed information on what's going on back home; who you can trust, whose been felled, all of it. To be shared with you, my liege. If I am allowed to tag along a bit of course, so we may be efficient," she grinned a slight toothy smile. "My family much preferred things under Galleon's rule. You will do, better than the guile leaders who show no respect. Nice punch, by the way..."
*Infirmary
-Players: Orion & friends
"*sigh*, tell me who you wish to speak with, perhaps they are done being out on the field, but exhaustion is a tricky thing to balance with people in your line of work. Heroes have fallen in less than savory manners," the nurse frowned as she begged Orion to rest, speaking from experience. Gravity Girl frowned, not liking the sound of that reality check at all.
Outskirts of Reach City;
+State of the area: Slightly less of a clusterf*ck -Players: Red Dragon, Blue Fang, Ursa & Animalius Rajom, Dark Lizard & friends.
Red Dragon could see the beastman operative was clearly in pain, but with some helping from Blue Fang he would fail to stay down. The vest he wore helped, but he would need medical attention for 2nd degree burns as he was on jello legs. He whined aloud as the duo spoke to him as they regrouped.
"I'm in the second worst pain of my life, but if we get through today it'll be worth it," he said, dropping a gruff tone, hinting that he was younger than he let on if they could pick up on the cue. "Fight though heroes, I'll be fine, go be heroes so I believe ya story," he whined again, his gun having fallen off somewhere. Dark Lizard saw his tree attack had succeeded excellently, but now he was being patched up by the mecha bird before he could do more.
