I will definitely be making room comic wise for more independent stuff because I plan on dropping most of Marvel. I am not only getting tired of Secret Wars but I have not liked any of the information for the some of the new comics after Secret Wars.

I will definitely be making room comic wise for more independent stuff because I plan on dropping most of Marvel. I am not only getting tired of Secret Wars but I have not liked any of the information for the some of the new comics after Secret Wars. Right now I read mostly Image. Not from a dislike of the big two, most of my favorite characters come from them, but Image just has a lot going for it outside the superhero realm and the creators have a lot more freedom when crafting their stories. Other than the ones I already mentioned, one really book I suggest is Birthright. It starts out with the classic "Boy gets lost and is taken to a magical world to be their hero" opening, but focuses on what happens after he's come back. It's been, I think a year since he left, but time moved faster in the magical realm and he's now this grizzled veteran warrior who has to stop the evil forces from the magic world from coming through. But also, while he was gone things went really bad for his family; his dad was suspected of killing him, since they were last seen together, and his parents got divorced. So the books about the family dealing with his disappearance and return while he has to fight this great evil.

Yeah I have Valiant, IDW, and Image comics I need to catch up on for sure. I was keeping up with them but finished some miniseries like Nameless, Daymen (I think that's the name), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters, and others. But got behind in other series I was following because I returned my attention to Marvel. I need to catch up in Unity, Bloodshot Reborn , finish up that Dynamite run where classic heroes like Shadow, Savage, Flash Gordon among others team up, and more. Image in comic sales at certain times in the past had beaten Marvel for the second spot.

That Dynamite crossover... It's called Legenderry, yes? The one where they're all steampunk incarnations? Or are you talking about another one they've done since?

www.teamfortress.com/tf05_old_wounds/Why are the Team Fortress comics so good? I'm loving how much contrast there is between the TF Classic mercs and the TF2 mercs. Also, Zhanna should be the tenth class. Make it happen, Valve.

The Spawn book is fucking great. I am loving it. The art is out of this world good and the story is fun. The same goes for DC's Suiciders which is a fun and perfectly well executed original idea.

Yeah no one can touch John's Green Lantern run. His JSA, Flash, and Green Lantern runs are the best runs for those characters for me.

Has anyone checked out IDW's Ghostbusters: Get Real? The crossover between the film/comic team and the team from the cartoon adaptation? I want it. Apparently the Filmation Ghost Busters (who were the reason why the cartoon was called 'The Real Ghostbusters' so as to distinguish it from the Filmation Ghost Busters cartoon) have made an appearance during to expected multiverse sequence.

Artworks and details of the new Street Fighter X G.I. Joe comic from IDW have been released. Looks like it's gonna be a typical Street Fighter tournament plot but with G.I. Joe characters thrown in as well... Which I have literally no problem with at all! The cover art looks great, and even though I know little about GI Joe (I've read an IDW comic that features the characters, and that's really it), I'm still excited to see another Capcom crossover! I wonder if any references to the old GI Joe action figures based on the SF characters will be slipped in?
The story will apparently feature 16 characters (presumably eight per side). Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li, Vega and Bison have seemingly been more or less confirmed to appear. I'd say it's likely that some more of the World Warriors from the second game will show up seeing as that instalment remains the most iconic (though I'm starting to think that they imparticular are perhaps getting a bit too much pop cultural exposure these days) but who knows what will happen?

Street Fighter and GI Joe? Fucking awesome. IDW is killing it. My god...So that means we will get Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke, and others probably trying to take down Bison who is working with Cobra if I had to guess. Sounds great.
