I read your story and thought it was more entertaining than mine. I honestly understand why you won, and am not questioning that whatsoever. Take that for what you will. My problem is with the lack of reasoning behind the scores. Ruinus posted his with no problem, but the other two didn't. Whether it's secrecy or laziness, I'm not a fan of either. I can understand not winning, but sue me for being curious as to why I received one of the lowest scores compared to everyone else. I looked at the way the scoring was done and couldn't understand how mine was that bad. I would have had to have gotten some very mediocre scores to warrant what I got after reverse engineering the math. If I had to guess, I'd say that's due to a sort of bias. If they feel like that's an insult against their character, so be it. I have a feeling they won't be posting their scores at any point, which only piques my curiosity. I take these allegations quite seriously. Since Potterpuppetpals already said he's post his scores, I'll go ahead and post his. And while I don't have XLEGACYX's permission, I'm deciding to do so too, since otherwise people may feel we're trying to cover something up. Potterpuppetpals scores: Here is how I would rank all of the competitors, but I'll add the scores later (From worst to best): bigballerju - The premise could have been hilarious. I mean, Bugs Bunny the Wascally Wabbit against Wade Wilson the Merc with the Mouth? What could go wrong? Well, the writing just fell short, and was not funny at all, as it had a disturbing over-reliance on swearing instead of good humour. The strange layout and grammatical errors just made it worse. Nova - Again, this was a match that had a hilarious premise, with the two mercs from Red vs Blue going up against the Gungan senator. However, like bigballerju's entry, something had just felt missing. It just wasn't quite as funny as I had anticipated, but I still think it is a pretty good entry nonetheless. The way that .gifs were used to provide the reader with a visual aid was clever, and the writing flowed nicely. g4hardcore - Another really good entry that has just been overshadowed by other greater entries. g4's match had The Mask go up against Spawn. The writing was good, and it had great action from start to finish. The characters' internal monologues were well written as well. The characters also met up in a believable way that made sense. However, the match was still a little short, and the Mask could have shared some more character interaction with Simmons before the battle started. On another note, I'm a little curious as to whether this match should even count. Does Spawn really count as a bounty hunter? He's just a superhero, more or less, is he not? corvette - A nice long, well written set up with great jokes and high stakes. Stan Smith and his cyborg double have the stop the alternate universe versions of Doofenschmirtz and Perry the Platypus in order to save the world. There's a nice parallel between American Dad and Phineas & Ferb something I always appreciate in crossover stories. It showcases how the two shows are similar because they both had stories involving cyborg alternate universe versions of the main characters, and because they can both be ridiculous and weird. The character interactions are great too. On the downside, the story does drag on for a little while, and some parts are a little hard to follow. Again, I have to ask whether or not this entry counts, since none of the characters are really bounty hunters, or at least I think so. I guess there aren't many good actual bounty hunter characters in fiction that aren't from Star Wars. SSJRuss - A funny and well written match that pits Boba Fett against the Road Runner. All of the characters are really well written and act exactly like how they would do in their respective source material. I felt quite sorry for Coyote as Fett kept messing around with him. Yes, Russ actually made me care about a sociopathic cartoon canine. thetrekker - A quirky and utterly hilarious match that pits Sterling Archer against... Stephen Colbert. And it works. Spectacularly. I'm not particularly familiar with either characters or the shows they originate from, but from what I do know about them, I can tell that the characters are well written and accurate to the source materials. It was just very funny and clever. What more could you want? Terranova - This entry just made me have a smile on my face throughout the entire thing, it was just that great. The premise is ridiculous, but like the previous entry, the writer made it work. Five words: Cad Bane goes to Equestria. I could easily hear the characters' iconic voices while I was reading this entry. The way that Bane interacted with the ponies of this strange world while trying to not succumb to the urge to murder all of them for their wacky antics was brilliantly written. On top of all this, the premise is utterly unique among all these other ones, in that Cad Bane is not out to murder the ponies, since they're not his targets. He's actually after the Elements. The threat to Bane is not a humiliating beat down at the hooves of ponies either; he would lose this 'battle' if he actually ends up befriending the ponies and succumbing to their horrible magic. That is just hilarious. Original, funny, great characterisation, winner. bigballerju Grammar: 2 Theme: 5 Organisation: 3 Creativity: 3 Characterisation: 3 Overall Score: 3.2 Nova Grammar: 5 Theme: 5 Organisation: 4 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 3 Overall Score: 4.2 corvette Grammar: 5 Theme: 2 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 5 Overall Score: 4.2 Terranova Grammar: 5 Theme: 5 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 5 Characterisation: 4 Overall Score: 4.8 SSJRuss Grammar: 5 Theme: 5 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 3 Overall Score: 4.4 thetrekker Grammar: 5 Theme: 2 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 5 Characterisation: 4 Overall Score: 4.2 g4 Grammar: 5 Theme: 1 Organisation: 4 Creativity: 3 Characterisation: 5 Overall Score: 3.6 XLEGACYX's scores. bigballerju Grammar: 3 Theme: 3 Organisation: 3 Creativity: 3.5 Characterisation: 4.5 Overall Score: 3.4 Nova Grammar: 5 Theme: 4 Organisation: 4.5 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 3 Overall Score: 4.1 corvette Grammar: 5 Theme: 2 Organisation: 3 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 4.5 Overall Score: 3.7 Terranova Grammar: 5 Theme: 5 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 4 Overall Score: 4.6 SSJRuss Grammar: 5 Theme: 4 Organisation: 5 Creativity: 3.5 Characterisation: 3 Overall Score: 4.1 thetrekker Grammar: 5 Theme: 2 Organisation: 4 Creativity: 4 Characterisation: 4 Overall Score: 3.8 g4 Grammar: 5 Theme: 2 Organisation: 4 Creativity: 3 Characterisation: 4 Overall Score: 3.6

As a future announcement, g4hardcore brought up his concerns in the best possible fashion. If in future tournaments any of you feel like you want to see the scores or have concerns about biased judging or anything suspicious do not PM us about it. Ask in a public space so that we may respond publicly. Our judging system is, I feel, secured against bias because anyone can judge. I, for instance, have judged all the competitions since the second one, but I don't necessarily have to. I just want to. But if someone, someday, thinks "Eh, Ruinus is playing favorites" then say so in the public tournament discussion and I'll step down and someone else can take a swing. I'll do so happily if it allows the tournament to continue in a good fashion with no ill-feelings. I suspect and hope that anyone judging will also do so. Similarly, anyone can actually host the tournament. XLEGACYX ran this one because he asked to. g4hardcore could run the next one if he chooses to, or thetrekker, or whoeverthefuck.

G4 - I felt your match did not meet the criteria as well as some of the others. Spawn (after gaining his powers) is neither an assassin or mercenary. Also it kinda seemed you just recreated the Mask's first run in with police from the Jim Carey movie and threw Spawn into it.
I had no bias and just voted on the matches the more closely followed the criteria and was the most entertaining

This wasn't almost another "anu" situation, was it?

This wasn't almost another "anu" situation, was it? dont know about that this kinda got under my skin. I informed everyone of the rules and criteria on which the matches would be judged. I personally put $25 of my own money with no strings attached. All any person had to do was write a match that followed the guidelines. We had 3 very diversified judges. After all is said and done we get complaints about not being fair. This was suppose to be for fun and maybe (hopefully) draw in some new members but complaining after the fact will only discourage others by saying we were bias. My personal profession is all about not being bias and being fair to all sides and enforcing rules to everyone equally. I would have to hope I could do the same here. Guess you can never please everyone. On another note, If its OK with Dskillz I may throw another tournament in October. Not gonna let one sour note get the whole idea down.

It's unfortunate that it took everyone else taking my complaint seriously to get more out of you then "Waaah Waaah ect". It was cool of you to offer up your own money, but I think the other judges have you beat in terms of maturity. Sorry to be a sour note on your positivity parade, but I think my concern was valid, considering you seemed completely uninterested in showing any reasoning. When asked, you basically said, I don't feel like it. By all means, keep swimming.

Whoa....Everyone calm down. There is no need for any of this. Spawn is not a mercenary or assassin unless you were using Al Simmons before he became Spawn your match based on the requirements would not count because of that even if it did end up being the best.

But technically, Spawn from the film is definitely still a mercenary/assassin. Everything Spawn did in the film after he "died" reflects that. (Hunting down the people that killed him/assassinating said people) Before you try and make my comments irrelevant, take a moment to thoroughly consider if what you're typing is actually moot. I will acknowledge that in my match, there was nothing to indicate that Spawn is either a mercenary or an assassin, but rather, a pensive prowler.

Ah. Took awhile to find, but here we go: www.electricferret.com/forum/index.php/topic/27185-why-the-cbub-challenges-arent-fair/Looking back, anu's extreme levels of paranoia were kind of amusing. There was nowhere near any of that in this thread, though. As for the current issue, G4, I think the way your initial quote was stated: Personally, I feel like it was orruptcay or iasedbay as far as the scoring goes. I still feel like TN deserved to win though. ... is why it got the response it did. From what I see, it could kind of be taken in as much of a lighthearted ribbing as an actual accusation, and LEGACY may have been trying to respond in a similarly lighthearted fashion (I could be wrong on this, though). In either case, this wasn't really enough to get worked up enough to make accusations of bias, nor was it really enough to get perturbed over said accusations. This was really all just a fun writing exercise started to help garner more interest in our little forum, and let me assure you, there have never been any bias in these tourneys, here or in the old EF.
