There's not gonna be any type of explanations posited for the matches by chance, is there? I'm a bit rusty, and I'm a fan of constructive criticism.
Score: 4 Grammar: 5 Characterization: 3 Theme: 3 Creativity: 4 Organization: 5 I’m really torn on this one. Aside from the jests I threw Nova’s way, I actually quite like this entry. It’s well written, it flows well, parts aren’t jumbled about and you understand who is doing what throughout the entire entry .The problems, however, prevent me from scoring it higher because one of the characters doesn’t appear at all. There’s simply no characterization for Jar Jar Binks, so I can’t score it as high as I would want to. Theme-wise, while it is about bounty hunters killing a comedy character, the theme also looked for “seriousness and comedy”. The entry is well written and, despite F and L coming from a comedy show, they spoke about as seriously as two mercenary killers from a comedy show could. But there’s very little humor. Had the theme not been looking for humor and had Jar Jar Binks shown up I would have scored this much higher – certainly theme would have had higher than a 3 at the very least. Bigballerju

You could maybe even argue that it has no seriousness, since it’s all humor and meta-humor and both characters are comedy characters. But I won’t. There were a few spelling mistakes, but not enough to detract from the story. Thetrekker

The humor isn’t so in your face “ha-ha”, rather to me it came from the extreme juxtaposition of the two sides. In addition, unlike the other match ups that, to me, used characters from comedy series (Family Guy, Deadpool, Archer) who were about to commit serious acts of violence, I felt that Cad Bane coming from a non-comedy setting made it work more. I was about to score it lower on the characterization for featuring the Road Runner for all of a few lines near the end, but what is shown of RR is pretty much his character. He makes his beep beep noise and then gets the fuck out of there. Also interesting is that the Road Runner’s “beep beep” followed by his taunt is what sets Boba on his quest to regain some sense of credibility as a bounty hunter after the extreme debacle he just went through. It’s interesting because that same reason is why the Coyote wants to get RR in the first place. G4hardcore

I honestly understand why you won, and am not questioning that whatsoever. Take that for what you will. My problem is with the lack of reasoning behind the scores. Ruinus posted his with no problem, but the other two didn't. Whether it's secrecy or laziness, I'm not a fan of either. I can understand not winning, but sue me for being curious as to why I received one of the lowest scores compared to everyone else. I looked at the way the scoring was done and couldn't understand how mine was that bad. I would have had to have gotten some very mediocre scores to warrant what I got after reverse engineering the math. If I had to guess, I'd say that's due to a sort of bias. If they feel like that's an insult against their character, so be it. I have a feeling they won't be posting their scores at any point, which only piques my curiosity. |

I can't copy and paste massive walls of text on my tablet (unless I write such things in the notes app previously) which is why I am unable to post my reasons. I understand your curiosity, truly. If you'd like, and if the other judges allow it, I could invite you the the chat so that you can see your scores and the reasonings behind them...

I think the main knock against your match, g4, is that it was a little short and there could have been a little more interaction between Simmons and the Mask before the fight began, but I thought it was overall a good entry that was just overshadowed a little by others.
