I honestly think it is ridiculous when film companies say when they will release films 8 or so years in advance. It just makes people wish their time away because they get so exited for the film, and then when the films actually come, no one gives a crap. To be honest, I think the Marvel Cinematic Universe has probably run its course. I doubt that Disney can continue to make films at the same level of quality at that kind of rate for the next 7 years.

Because no one cared about Guardians if the Galaxy. I agree that announcing so many films at once isn't the best idea, but I think that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is fine for the time being. Of course they're going to have movies that are better and worse than others. And there is a chance they're going for too much at once. But, the fact that they have Marvel Studios and that it's only job is to make Marvel movies gives them a much better chance of staying consistent. I do think that once actors start leaving roles behind Marvel movies will begin to see their decline.

It just makes people wish their time away because they get so exited for the film I'd say it's more ridiculous, that people do that. With my broad interest in video games, and buying them as cheap as I can, in most cases, I barely watch movies/TV, anymore. Besides live sports. It's better to just watch, read, and play things, that interest you, that are currently available. And not constantly think about what's next. It's still nice to know, I guess, but I just know I'm gonna forget some or most of these are coming, after so much time has passed. :/

I'll tell you right now, I'll see all of them. I'm really sad that the new Spiderman franchise isn't doing as well as it should. Granted, I didn't like how much they tried to do with the second one either but it wasn't bad at all. Garfield plays the character well. Just want him to have the success that Marvel Cinematic does. That's why I'm hoping they work something out with that. And if all else fails...make a Spider-Gwen movie starring Emma Stone. That will make a shit ton!

Guardians of the Galaxy was great and was indeed hyped up a lot, but it is probably among the least faithful to the source material out of all of the Marvel films, what with so many characters having totally different back stories and whatnot. The changes were still welcomed though, so no harm done. I think one of the main reasons why I am against announcing all these films early is because it makes Marvel and DC's obvious rivalry even more evident, and lesser known films will most likely get completely overshadowed.
I also strongly dislike how the X-Men and Fantastic Four are still owned by Fox and Spider-Man is still owned by Sony, while the rest are still owned by Disney, because it just confuses people. I mean, I bet a lot of people are probably confused about the fact that Quicksilver in Avengers 2 isn't the same as Quicksilver from Days of Future Past.

No I don't think the general audience is confused. LOL you think the General Audience will even know that there are two Quicksilvers? They barely used the name Pietro in the X-Men film and didn't even once say Quicksilver. Fox is going to have those X-Men films for a long time. They at least know how to make good X-Men films and know they can keep making a shitload of films off that franchise for years. Fantastic Four I don't think they will keep for long. Fox probably has a hard time getting that particular comic book. That new FF film sounds horrible and it comes out next year but yet we have seen nothing of it. They have to put out that film regardless of how horrible it is or Disney gets the rights back. Its been too long since the last FF which is why they rushed to get this one into production.

They barely used the name Petro in the X-Men film That would be because his name isn't Petro.

General audience = me? Causal superhero fan, that's only watched TV shows/movies, and barely reads any comic books? I only know of one Quicksilver, and that's thanks to an X-Men cartoon. I probably would have thought it was him, had I not read this. Just saiyan.

I think they, and forgive my language, completely fucked up. The things that made the Superhero movies was the suspense about which would be coming next. All those little hints at the credits added even more excitement and hype. When Thor's hammer was in the desert, the cosmic cube, Thanos, ect... All those moments left the audiences drooling for more. Now its just "Ooh, Nick Fury said Superheroes need to provide identity? I wonder if they're doing the Civ- Oh wait, they are." You basically know everything that's going to happen just by having a little bit of knowledge in Comics. Thor will die in Ragnarok, Captain America American will die fighting Thanos, Bucky will become new Captain America. Evans only has 2-3 movies, while Stan (Bucky) just renewed his contract for 4-5 movies.

I don't know what I was smoking, yesterday.. I think you just meant, that Quicksilver will be played by a different actor, in the Avengers movie. Not that there are 2 different Quicksilvers, in the Marvel universe. Correct? And to that I say, look at how many different people have played Batman. I don't think it will be an issue.
