I love Man of Steel and have it on DVD. But the last thing we needed was another Superman origin film when we had Smallville for 10 seasons. You wanna know why we didn't get a Christopher Reeve type of film? Fans bitching Classic Superman we love is boring, they want something different, Superman in awesome fight scenes, and more. DC Fans don't know what the hell they want. I didn't particularly want that though. The DC Cinematic Universe Superman is a fairly interesting take on the character, but oddly enough I actually found the fight scenes to be pretty underwhelming. If I remember rightly, there was always this weird effect that happened whenever the Kryptonians punched each other. It was a decent film, but not great in my opinion. Unlike other people I didn't think that scene where Superman kills Zod unbelievably awful. Granted, those people who Zod was attempting to kill could have easily avoided the beam, but let's face it, you don't get cornered by a man with devastating laser eyes every day. Superman probably could have subdued Zod in some other way, but it was a very heat of the moment reaction, and Superman was still a beginner, so it's forgiveable. Superman couldn't exactly let that family get torched, could he?

How about SOME FREAKING COLOR!? In truth, how about some freaking effort to make it more than just another Batman Film? How about trying what Marvel does? Putting some form of fun, spirit and heart into it? I'm no DC fan by a long shot, after what they've done with their politics.

Superman tried saving people in the Smallville fight. He was saving the army and walking through the town a bit telling them to get to safety. In Metropolis I agree he fought reckless in the final fight. One of the scenes I hated is when he jumps over the oil rig or truck that Zod pushes towards him and it hits the building behind him causing a huge explosion. It's like what? You didn't even check to see if there were civilians behind you. However this was a Clark Kent who literally just became Superman and was wet behind the ears.
This is a Superman who is going to grow and learn to become the Superman we all love.

I'm obviously a big fan of comics and all that, and I go see these movies without fail due to the respect I have for the medium but... I mean, is anyone else getting really tired of these movies? I just Age of Ultron and it was downright mind numbing. The action was great, don't get me wrong, but the entire movie was like 6 action scenes strung together by a ridiculous comic-book-esque (and not in a good way) plot. I actually felt mentally dumber for a good while after I saw that movie. I had lie down while my brain recovered from like 3 hours straight of PG-13 violence.
The scene where Cap goes up against Ultron was very cool though. Props.
I also like the subtle shoutout to Man of Steel where Iron Man scans the building for innocent people before he basically levels the whole thing. Haha.

I just went back through that list and I said "Don't give a fuck" to at least 75% of them and "I'll see that in theaters" to maybe 3.

I don't know if anyone else here saw the leaked Suicide Squad trailer, but I only have one word to describe that Joker. "Ugh".
That Batman v. Superman trailer looked pretty cool, but I still hate that Eisenberg was cast as Luthor. It's not the long hair, but the voice. He sounds like that awkward teen he plays in every movie he's been in.

Kinda reminds me of Spencer Reid... Awkward, underestimated, genius-type. Now that I think about it, they did the same thing with Harry Osborn in Amazing Spiderman...

That Suicide Squad clear trailer showed me this is going to be one dark and badass film. Exactly what a Squad trailer should be.The only problem is Joker and Harley. Like fuck they better give solid performances to shut everyone up because I agree with everyone I was not impressed with them or sold on it. Batman vs Superman was of course awesome like it should be.

It was tough to really get a feel for the Harley with what we saw, but I was really impressed by the Joker tbh. Like, whatever about his design (it really doesn't matter to me), but I can already tell Jared Leto is gonna act the character to friggin' pitch perfection. His laugh, voice, and facial expressions were all amazing. That slasher smile alone won me over.

To be fair your right. Maybe when a actual clean official trailer comes out then we will know a bit more on there Joker and Harley. Also I loved the fact in this universe there was a Robin and Joker on top of it was hinted at being the one to kill him. That's just great.
