'So fast!' Victoria thought, as the bird pokemon flew expertly through the offense. "Head on, Dragon Rush!" She barked, noting that the opponent ran through the attack instead of away from it like most other trainers. If that was how he wanted it, then Garchomp would take the attack with an attack of his own. She wasn't sure what exactly would happen as Garchomp's body became enveloped in blue spiraling energy and it came at Staraptor. It was likely they might both take damage of some kind. She did know, however, that whatever did happen, Garchomp's Rough Skin ability would come into play. The two Pokémon clashed in a giant explosion. When the smoke cleared both had taken damage but Staraptor was clearly worse for the wear, the only reason it was even still standing was due to it's Intimidate ability cutting Garchomp's attack. Satoshi didn't like what he had to do next but he had to do as much damage to Garchomp as possible. "Take to the skies, get ready for a Fly attack."

Victoria watched as Staraptor took to the air, ascending with great speed. "It's still going?" Victoria remarked, impressed by the speed and endurance of the intimidating pokemon. It was strong too, Garchomp appeared to take a meaningful portion of damage himself. Satoshi didn't need to speak for Victoria to ascertain the move that was being used. "Follow up, Garchomp! Another Stone Edge!"
Victoria knew, even as Garchomp became enveloped in a white rings yet again, that Stone Edge was a move, in essence, engineered to be a powerful Rock type move... specifically against those utilizing the move Fly.
Vincent's jaw nearly dropped. He had been the victim of her Stone Edge before. It had hit his Charizard in the midst of Fly, evidenced by Charizard's apparent indignant huff and subsequent puff of black smoke.

"Garchomp, pour on the speed! Meet Staraptor's attack with Dragon Rush!" While the flying pokemon was still quite high above, Garchomp put it's superior swiftness to the ultimate test. It rocketed skyward, turning terminal velocity upside down with blinding natural speed.
Garchomp's flight speed was significantly higher than terminal velocity; it would almost appear as if gravity had no hold on the ground type, an ironic twist. Blue energy swirled around it's body as it accelerated into velocities a Dragonite might admire. The energy surrounding it's body would hopefully have something of a blanket effect, while it's speed would be a an attempt to negate Staraptor's own speed due to diving. It was a gamble, but a good gamble in Victoria's opinion.

Staraptor would be evelpoed in white energy as it continued to fly toward Garchomp but then it would disappear and reappear behind Garchomp, ready to hit it with an Aerial Ace Close Combat combination. If this hit Staraptor would go down to Rough Skin but Garchomp will have taken more damage which was always good.

"Mag," Magmortar said, with a deep roar, as he watched the battle.
Watching Magmortar closer than the battle, Hazel frowned. Magmortar was a champion among pokemon, with a powerful linage. Hazel knew she wouldn't be able to push him as a trainer, and thus he wouldn't be able to battle at his full strength. In that moment, she made up her mind. "Magmortar," she said, "I promise you, I will get stronger for you. One day; one day soon, we can battle on their level."
Magmortar turned away from her, "Tar..." he said, a small flame escaping his mouth as he spoke.

"It seems to have no problem with dodging both long distance attacks and close range attacks. Staraptor is so fast it can't be touched unless it wants to be... What would you do, Metagross?" The massive pokemon paused, lifted one of its ironlike legs, then put it back down, slightly vibrating the ground with the weight of it's gesture. "Sounds about right. But what will Victoria do?" Metagross gave no answer this time, though it continued to calculate. The other pokemon all stared skyward in awe at the battle.
Victoria squinted to adjust her eyesight. Just when the two were about to collide, Staraptor seemed to teleport out of harm's way before the moment of truth, repositioning itself at nigh incalculable speeds to attack from behind. It was smart, all in all. However, Garchomp's Rough Skin finished it off, evidenced by the fall of the bird of prey.
Garchomp likewise descended, albeit in a more controlled manner, pulling up before hitting the ground and landing in a crouch. It had taken residual damage from the first explosive attack and a direct hit from Close Combat, if a bit dulled from the Dragon Rush energy. It showed, too; the pokemon looked worse for wear and breathed heavily. Victoria gauged he was on the last third of his HP, maybe even a bit less. The Fly/Quick Attack would have been more potent, had Garchomp not negated nearly all of the speed Staraptor attempted to gain to fuel the power of the move. It had changed tactics at the last second, destroying it's built up speed in favor of multiple strikes of considerable power.
"You did great, Garchomp!" Exclaimed Victoria happily. "Gar! Gaar!!"
Garchomp didn't look like it wanted to rest, but Victoria knew that was because of his training and determination. "Garchomp, I need you to sit the next round out."

Staraptor made its way back to Satoshi's side. His Trainer was smiling widely and affectionately ruffled his Pokémon's feathers. "Good job buddy, You did what I needed you to do. I'm sorry you had to go down though. Garchomp have always been a though nut to crack. We'll win this battle for you.' Staraptor trilled happily. Truth be told Satoshi felt pretty good about his chances. He still had five Pokémon i n good shape whereas Victoria only had five to start, her Garchomp had taken heavy damage and and her Machamp was a ticking time bomb thanks to Toxic. That Flygon might be annoying but he could handle it. "How about ladies first this time since we're both sending out Pokémon?"

Flygon nudged Victoria's side with her muzzle, and Victoria acknowledged her with a few hushed words Vincent couldn't make out. Before his wonder grew too deeply, Victoria faced Satoshi with a confident grin. "Have it your way. Ditto, you're up!"
The shapeless little blob crawled up from behind, until it stood next to Garchomp. Garchomp eyed Ditto then nodded and left the battlefield, effectively relieved from duty. Ditto then transformed into Garchomp, detail for detail.
"Garchomp! Gar!!" Ditto cried out, equally ferocious looking.

OOC: You stated this was about using our moves creatively, I didn't think the legitimacy would be questioned. Limiting what Ditto can transform into is a bit odd in the first place, for a pokemon that can turn into anything from a rock, to an Arceus. Ditto can turn into an ally, like you said, which is in essence all he did. So the ally left the battlefield after the transformation was complete, that doesn't automatically mean Transform expires, does it? I didn't think Transform wore off considering he turns into a rock to sleep undisturbed. Plus, this Garchomp/Ditto isn't as strong as a normal Garchomp, naturally. Would it not be okay if I simply had two or even three Garchomps? Would it be illegal for me to have two or three Ditto? It's up to you, I can't go against the GM in his own RP, only point out what I think is debatable and what isn't. If I thought it was unreasonable, I wouldn't have posted it. At worst, it violates the spirit of game mechanics, which is what Staraptor did by cramming moves within moves within moves--telepathically or otherwise. Though that part, I liked, since it meant everyone else could do it too, I admit. OOC: Let me be clear: the maneuver itself is fine. I'm just not sure it is fine in this context. Two Trainers like Victoria and Satoshi would follow Pokémon League rules in a fight like this. While I'm taking many cues from the anime such as combining moves, I don't know that this would fly in any sort of official battle even there. You want to keep it fine, but your Ditto won't like what comes next.

I mean it's clever but... Oh well it doesn't matter, makes it easier for me to choose who to send out. Empoleon, let's show Vicky here how we do things back home." Empoleon stepped on to the battlefield and Satoshi went silent again, as he turned his hat around Ketchum style. "Beam it buddy." Empoleon let out a powerful Ice beam attack that would be very painful should it hit and even if it didn't Empoleon was Satoshi's starter. These two were a well oild machine and he was fully confident in his ability to take this fight.

Before Victoria could respond to her opponent, his icy pokemon sent forth a frosty beam. His mental commands, on top of the fact that she wasn't quite prepared, meant the beam found it's mark and struck Copy-Garchomp's chest. The now ground type pokemon cried out in protest. For all it's speed, it hadn't taken to the skies to utilize it. Now, having taken heavy damage, Ditto stood on shaky legs.
"Ditto, are you okay?!"
Ditto acknowledged it's trainer with a surprisingly energetic, "G-Gaar!"
Victoria nodded, proud that the little shape shifter was even standing. Everything made sense again after Ditto collapsed, turning back into his gelatinous form wearily.
"That was a tremendously powerful formula," Vincent commented out loud. Metagross nodded in agreement, and Victoria's remaining pokemon began to show concern for their teammate, Ditto.
"Return!" Ditto's body was drawn into the pokeball where it could get some rest. "I'm sorry, Ditto. I think I made you look bad, but don't worry, we'll work on our strategies when you're better!" She was being more understanding than usual, for she knew this was a tough opponent. She glanced at Vincent and the other pokemon, now biting her lip. She wanted to keep battling, it was wonderful experience.
"I think... I think I'm going to call this off. I can't put all my pokemon through this, they aren't ready." With more than half her team incapacitated, and keeping the Iga clan in mind, it wasn't too smart to continue. Abomasnow, and especially Flygon, were eager to battle on, but they trusted Victoria's judgment somewhat begrudgingly.
Vincent clapped for the two competitors, equally impressed by both of their displays. "Great job Satoshi, Victoria! I've never seen a battle quite like that!"
