So, at this point it seems that superpowers are more of a natural occurrence from mutations, or the product of science. Or perhaps even a combination of the two.
Hope no one minds, but I think some of my writing is going to focus on magical stuff. I've got a couple character ideas along those lines that I really like. And I don't think the inclusion of mystical forces is too far fetched from where this seems to be going.

Cool, so are we ready to talk about mechanics yet? Any lingering questions?

So I'm guessing Kit won't be a thing? Personally I don't mind, I think Team, Gender and Alignment is enough catogorizing for a character profile.

I don't plan on assigning my characters to any teams, genders, or alignments. They will be free living, androgynous, and completely unaware of moral or amoral behavior.
Edit: But they'll all totally have kits.

Kits are a mechanical issue, but since we haven't had them in a long time I wouldn't expect them.

I'm just waiting for the sign that everything is ready to go before I start officially creating characters (although I have a few concepts in the works already). If anyone has any characters they'd like to see again or if anyone wants to collaborate tell me before the ribbon is cut.

Wait, so did we ever settle on whether Aegis is under the UN or not? I'd vote no. I'd be ok with saying they once were but as of canon are no longer, but I don't want to wait for it to be established some indefinite time in the future.

AEGIS: After the advent of superhumans and the beginning of the "Elixer Race"; the Allies decided that it wouldn't be long before the Axis not only gained vast numbers of superhumans but an army as well. So, in order to catch them off guard all the allies started to draft extraordinary humans into an organization dubbed AEGIS. While every country have their own groups called Vanguards, as a coalition they are known as AEGIS. After WW2, AEGIS was placed under control of the U.N functioning as the worlds superhuman defense force. After years of working under the U.N, AEGIS had grown in popularity and power eventually becoming just as influential as the U.N which caused tensions between the two organizations. The U.N always favored a conservative approach to their involvement in world affairs while AEGIS preferred a more hands-on approach. The tensions between the two global forces became a rift during the Cold War and Vietnam War in which the U.n forbade AEGIS to interfere with. Fed up with the U.N's policies, the tribunal of AEGIS led by the hero Legatus, separated from the U.N and became AEGIS Corps. Their current base is located in Reach City.
I have already added the portion of AEGIS' history that I had nixed so that now they are no longer a part of the U.N.
