He fought down the urge to pinch his brow in exasperation as some guy wheezed from the comfort of the roof tiling, instead putting his attention on Udyr and acknowledging him with a nod.
"I can smell the things. They're a mile or so off, there's a wall of fodder between us and them if those guys in the matching tights're anything to go by and they can't know where we are in specific. We should have a few minutes to get our bearings." "Oh boy. A sheriff and a faceplanting guy. We're saved, aren't we?" He snickered. "Yeah, that sounds about right. I picked up this little trinket myself." He held the small ring in his palm. "After killing 47...no wait, 48! That's right. 48 targets killed. Was about to get paid for that day too, but no. Dropped into here with no warning. That said...I got a good look at those weapons before they ran off. Could be worth my while if I spoke to the guy in charge."
He sauntered up to the sheriff. "And I know you ain't him. Sheriff Bigby Wolf, huh. You don't look so big to me. And I ain't about to fight for these guys out of the goodness of my heart." He chuckled. "WE MUST PROTECT THE INNOCENT!" He mock repeated. "Oh man. No one's innocent. And I'm not about to do shit without a guaranteed pay so I'm going to go find the head honcho and see if I can work out an employment deal. Or just take what I can sell later. Excuse me."
"Yeah. Excuse you." Bigby agreed, somehow standing perfectly toe-to-toe with the far larger, power armor-clad Felix, before shoving him hard, with feral, animalistic strength that could tear off limbs and punch through bone without Bigby so much as transforming as he stepped forward and snarled in Felix's face. "Let's get something straight. There are a couple things in life that piss me off. Hitmen piss me off. Wiseasses, they piss me off. Self-entitled sons of bitches? Piss me off. Now, you just identified yourself as all those things and a whole lot more, so I advise you step back and keep your mouth shut while we figure out a course of action, understood?"
He stepped away, but not before making a point of spitting on Felix's boot, turning his attention back to the rest of the group at large.
"Satsushi's got the right idea, but I need to make sure we're all on the same page before we go. And by that, I mean if you object to helping the civvies not get slaughtered in their homes you can get the fuck out of my sight and hope to God I don't see you after this is through with."
That decidedly real threat issued, he shot a glare around the remainder of the group before turning and moving to parkour across the rooftops in the same direction as the soldiers had gone, mustering speed and agility that betrayed his seemingly mundane frame.

They'd bustled along, in a rush, down the tunnel. Time was tissue. Well no, time was actually... wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff. But semantics. "What are we to do?" Came Yasmi's inquiry. A certainly good question, considering what'd transpired and what little they knew. "Well, first things first. We should obtain everything we can on the Cult. And why they wanted you. You know, the little det-"Jenny halted abruptly now, her senses going haywire... especially her Time Lord side. A gesture for Yasmi, prompting her pause. Jenny turned in place, frantic. Something felt off. Very off. Naturally Jenny's new companion would be concerned now, taken aback by her new friend's strange reactions to... something. Something indiscernible to her. "Jenny? What is wrong?""Something... something is very wrong. Very, very wrong. I..."And that's when it happened. Reality divided, rendering the fabric of time and space asunder. Jenny gasped, horrified as she realized what was happening. Reality was... dying? Falling apart? The tunnels seemingly darkened briefly... before it brightened, growing brighter and brighter now. The walls became transparent... the ceiling clearly see-through now. "What's happened?""J-Jenny!"Shaken free of her disbelief, Jenny spun to Yasmi and was promptly horrified, stepping back now. She was rippling in place, her very being out of sync with reality itself. Jenny reached out for her, as did Yasmi for Jenny... before she vanished. "Help me! Jenny, Help... me...!"Her mouth covered by a hand now, as she stared, further horrified, her attention rapt now. Then a cacophonous rumbling surged forth through every fabric, the tunnel's walls shattering as if they were glass, before vanishing as the ceiling was now gone... and in its place, a shattered sky, a city upturned, so to speak. She stared now, as the city descended, before, once more, another captured her focus. Her eyes transferred, a ring came into being, hovering before her. There was little a Time Lord didn't understand, and the now were one of those moments. Nonetheless, this beget the typical response. She would take it upon herself to understand, to know why. And so she reached out for the ring, grasping in hand as it rolled within her palm. She looked it over, reading its inscription... "Preservation?"An uncertain response to an uncertain event.. and now she felt her very existence threatened by the same that did her surroundings. She would lose shape, consciousness if something wasn't done. Her instincts told her this ring, this "Preservation" would be her salvation... and knowing that she had to trust what would come next, she slipped the ring on... And she realized her form held stable now. Seemingly peacefully... this whilst observing the seeming destruction of the world she stood upon. A single tear formed within an eye, streaking down now as emotions flooded her... this wasn't supposed to happen. This shouldn't happen. This was just wrong. And now she'd found herself elsewhere. A familiar sight. Of course, she'd just saw it moments past. She was within the city, in the sky now. Choking back her feelings now as she wiped away the lonely tear, she cast a glance over everyone. Breaking her somber demeanor now was a friendly smile. No use in being sullen. There were still others, alive and well. Others of different worlds. Perhaps now she would decipher for herself what was the cause for the happening, and just why... A proper introduction now. That done with for now, she'd taken to listening. Observing... those soldiers that stood nearby, leaped to the defense of the innocents within this city, against those grotesque behemoths, those... Titans? Certainly, she'd lend a hand. People to save, after all. To Bigby Wolf: "I saw the same. Everything vanished and now here we are." An astute deduction. She shook her head - "Course, I'll help!"To Felix, however... she shook her head. Granted, she was still young, a few days old at best. Initially, she'd the mindset of a soldier but it was still for the better of others. Nothing like this self indulgent entity. This... was what the universe had to offer now? "You... have a choice. Everyone always has a choice." Though she'd gotten the feeling that would go ignored. Or receive an uncouth response... "Please help."A final say as she lifted a hand, surveying the scene before her, as she considered the others nearby, Udyr and Satsuki specifically. In the words of her dear dad. "Allons-y!"

Spawn landed gracefully on a rooftop as he glanced around at the others gathered. With the exception of the man in armor who apparently got off on the wrong foot with another member of this group, Spawn didn't particularly care for any of them. But he did wish to return home so without turning his head to face the group, he leaped down from the roofs as he followed after Bigby from the ground as the shroud moved along the walls of the nearby building.. "Spawn." Were the only words he'd mutter in that deep baritone voice of his as he continued on to just figure out what the hell was going on..

He grunted with the action, skidding along before stopping his momentum across the roof with a quick deployment of light shield behind him, two knives already out in reverse grips as he stared coldly. "You think you're tough?" He stared through his helmet right back at the snarling face.
"A pissed off sheriff. Well, that's just a tragedy--"
His boot was spat on and he frowned, peering down. Oh hell no, he did not--but by the time he looked back up, the big bad wolf was already taking off. "Fucker." He stowed one of his blades, looking over the distance and the knife still in his hand. "I bet I can make it still." He mimed a few practice throws at the right angle.
"...No." He sheathed that blade too before turning to Cole. "A demonstration? I like the way you think." He smiled. "You can call me Felix. Not that I particularly care." He turned to Jenny.
"You're right! I do have a choice."
"I choose cash."
He took his leave, standing on the edge of the building before holding his arms out and just leaning over till he fell and let gravity do the rest...before impacting the ground. Or more accurately, his light shield on the ground. He got up, dusting himself off and making his way in that direction. "Screw hopping across buildings. Better to be...unseen. Or try too." He muttered, pulling out his Binary Rifle.

She'd figured as much. Still...
"Disappointing. Well..."
She'd already said it, so it was time to go now.
And so did Jenny display her acrobatic prowess, leaping across the rooftops with some effort, making her way slowly after the others now.

Quill stumbled back to his feet, blinking a few times both to clear the pain and to let his brain adjust to what everyone was saying.
"...Ok. Armor guy, come back here for a second. Because you seem really into the whole deal of taking other people stuff and selling it for a profit and hey" he put his hands up placatingly "I can respect that, thats cool. But I'm not sure you understand whats going on here, and if you do, please tell me, because I'm not sure where everyone else came from, but feng shuei and samurai girl and the law all don't really look like the space traveling types. Which means that you might run into the slightest of problems if you wander off on your own and realize your stuck, eh?" He said with a clap before turning to the rest of the group as he spread his hands in grand fashion.
"NOW. I know you're all probably wondering who I am-"
*Beat*
"...or not, which hey thats fine, whatever, but that will totally change once you realize who I am. Because I... am... Star Lord." he finished with a smooth grin and a lavish bow.
Just as he noticed that everyone was, you know, running away.
"...I MEAN I KNOW ITS AN INTIMIDATING NAME BUT seriously wait up" and he followed, boosters activating on his boots to shoot up to a higher rooftop for the vantage point. And style points.

OOC: Sorry Im a little late on the response. Surprised at the rate this is moving considering how slow other things have gone on the site. My apologies.
Rising from his chamber, Kain could feel a different energy in the air. He knew something was not right. Exiting his hidden chamber he emerged into the throne room and could see his followers gathered at the windows and on the balconies of his castle. Looking into the sky he saw what could he could only describe as the heavens falling. As he returned to his throne he called for his advisers to meet him in the war room in twenty minutes. He then dismissed all from the room so he could be alone with his thoughts until his meeting.
As he sat thinking about the events unfolding outside, a flash of light appeared to his right on the arm of the throne chair. It slowly faded into a yellow glow. Reaching out he took hold of the light. Turning his hand over and opening it, it revealed a golden ring. Examining it he read the inscription on the inside. He did not like the mysterious appearance of the ring but could since no bad will coming from it. Standing to his feet, he grabbed the Soul Reaver to his side. Taking a chance, he decided to put on the ring and hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
Kain appeared amongst several strange looking men and a beautiful blonde female. "Sorry I am late. I see I was not the only one invited to stave off whatever is happening to our worlds. I must say, I am a little unimpressed with the company I have been partnered with. An overgrown robot, a man that smells like a wet dog, a cute but otherwise harmless looking female human, a burnt smelling demon?, a man with gills and interesting glowing tattos, and various others. I hope some of you are tougher than you look." With that Kain folded one arm across his waist and bowed towards the group. "I am Kain, Lord of the vampires in my realm. I would like to know why exactly I was brought here and by whom exactly."

"Pardon me." His voice echoed, scaring one of the soldiers running by to the front, cloaked as he was. Hmm...looked a little young for combat. Not that it mattered at this point, because...
He tripped the soldier, knocked off his feet. Out came the blade, twirling before he plunged the blade into the throat and sliced forward before yanking it back out. "Look at it this way, you died well." He smirked. "And I will put this to good use!" He removed the soldier of his weapons, taking them for himself. "Whoo, this should be interesting."
He stood up, planting a boot on the guy's skull. "Thanks mate." He kept talking to the corpse. "Really, truly. When I can afford a TV the size of a billboard, your name will be inscribed on the side as one of the many who made it possible!" He lowered his Binary Rifle and fired, watching as the body and proof disintegrated into nothing.
"There's nothing quite so...thrilling as that. Guns for show, knives for a pro." He made his way onward, having spotted the tallest vantage point he could find that wasn't the goddamn wall being attacked. A tower. He set himself up there, perching at the top and zooming in with the sniper Binary Rifle.
"Now now, what do we got? Ooh, you're a big one."

Spawn stopped in his walk as he turned and glanced up at Kain from where Spawn stood on the ground. "For a vampire, your nose doesn't seem that bad. Didn't even know your kind had a lord. Thought they were all obligated to toe whatever line Heaven or Hell sets for them. " Spawn said with a glare. He had fought a vampire once. Damn bitch tore out his throat but he burned her to ashes with sunlight. "Just keep your fangs to yourself. " Spawn warned before continuing on.

Those who decided to to head towards the commotion found people running away from the panic, with the occasional military soldier up above launching themselves into the unseen fray. Giant humanoids littered the ground here and there, as well as a few dead men, motionless beside their various gear and weapons. None could be seen alive... Their paths would take them towards the edge of the wall. Here, blood was everywhere. Skirmishes in the clearing kept most soldiers occupied. There were at least 20 giants lumbering and eating people foolish enough to fight. Beyond the clearing, a massive wall with a gaping hole. "Their necks!" Screamed a young woman, before having her head bitten off by a particularly large specimen of 15 meters. It smiled unnaturally wide and walked toward the newcomers eagerly, hungrily. He was tall enough that he could grab them off the roofs once close enough. Those who sought high ground would see the approach of a small army of dark figures, too small to be Titans, but numbering in the hundreds. They approached the hole in the outer wall, a lone figure leading the charge. Within the city, fires blazed here and there, a few giants usually nearby each pillar of smoke.

There were a lot of new introductions, a lot of new names, A sheriff, a mercenary or two, a soldier from the surface, a young woman, an enormous monk, a vampire and a few others who could not be classified quite yet. There seemed to be no similarity between them save the same story; a ring, a vision of this shimmering city above, and the instant transportation to this rooftop.
The only people who seemed to know why they were here were the soldiers who just left. Only they could know why this was happening. He could still see a few of them trailing out towards the city.
Kaldur pulled the water formers from their sheathes and they did their thing. The new blades flowed into mimics of the swords he had seen the other soldiers carrying. Many of the new arrivals were introducing or arguing with each other. He turned towards the small group that seemed to have at least gained a small consensus that helping the soldiers was good, or at least in their best interests.
"I agree with much of what has been said and second the sentiments of the sheriff. I suggest we follow and find the woman who was commanding earlier, and attempt to help them defend from this attack. I intend to waste no further time in doing so, but any support would be more then welcome."
Kaldur nods politely, then turns and leaps towards the next rooftop after the trailing soldiers.
(Edit: OOC: Assume this post occurred before G4's last update since that's what I was working with when we posted at nearly the same time.)

"...Huh. I wonder." He lifted his Binary Rifle, aimed for the face of the one Titan heading towards the new guys, scoped in and a red light trail ending right on it...before he fired a round, zooming past everything else. "Would it work on them?" He was curious to say the least, hefting his rifle and waiting a few seconds to see whether the target would be disintegrated. Whatever the outcome, he moved on, sighting the things in the distance.
"Like lambs to the slaughter, they come." As his partner would have put it, at least. So poetic. Romantic. Bleh. He lifted his rifle once again, zooming farther for more Titans. Once more a laser sight beared down...
*click* *pew* The laser rifle fired it's next shot...and then next, and next and more repeatedly as he tried to take out as many as he could before ammo ran out.

This would not be tolerated. This would not be allowed. Satsuki knew what sort of response such monsters warranted. And in a blur, she moved into action...Her blade flashing in the light as she sought to do the following. Slicing off the Titan's knees, bringing it to ground level...And then to slice at the place indicated by the prior soldier. Two slashes total, if all went well...And if it did, she'd roar aloud, fist clenched. "We are. Through License of our own selves. We create. We destroy. We create anew. We are the eye that follows the course and the aim of the stars, the ear that hears the tree fall in the forest, the hand that builds the gun, the voice that sings the song. You monsters cannot stop us. WE ARE THE HUMAN RACE. GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR WAY!!"
And like that, Lady Satsuki declared war upon Titankind as she stormed off for her next potential victim.

Ocelot had the information he needed, and escaping the high-security location was as simple as saluting the right people and shooting the rest. Once outside Ocelot ditched his officer's uniform in favor of something a high plains drifter would wear. In this part of the world, those type of men were easy to overlook and that's just what Ocelot was hoping for- he knew where he needed to go...though it seemed life intended to throw a curveball even Ocelot couldnt've forseen. "Just south of here should be my exit" Ocelot grunts to himself as he twirls his revolvers to pass the time. At least until the sky peeled back to reveal a city in the sky. Ocelot has seen plenty of things in his liftetime...this new one ranked fairly high in terms of surprising him. "Anti-gravity? Magnetic propulsion? Cipher is this what you'vebeen up to?" he questions immediately. He was surprised, but it's not like everything in his life up til now would be thrown out the window...he knew a thing or two about things that seemed to defy reality and he holsters his weapons, just in time to notice a floating ring in front of him. He read 'Preservation' and smirked, a fitting enough term for him. "Very well, I'll play this game" he says before snatching the ring and taking it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ocelot arrived on the floating city, on one of it's roof's calm but in the back. Compared to everyone else, Ocelot's years of being gung-ho were behind him. He eavesdrops on what could pass for Foxhound recruits in front of him. Some flat-out said things rather typical of a mercenary so he knew what he was dealing with. A few arguably didn't even come from his world. "...or time period at least" Ocelot thinks to himself, ever the one for an open mind. He glances over to the main military force here and their pleas for help. He noted their...unique equipment with a small smirk. They pounce off and Ocelot takes care to watch their movements until they had disappeared into smoke...Ocelot was a quick study when needed and knowing how to pilot one of those could come in handy. As this happened a few people gave names, though the Ocelot stayed silent, playing the lone gunman who had lost much in his lifetime. Having just seen 'For a Few Dollars More' helped the act. He'd add more to the cover if necessary, but he didn't mind the change in character as he re-aligns his posture to fit. "Adam" he says in a grovely American accent, it was an old code name, but it probably had less of a reputation than Ocelot or even Adamska. Though if nobody said anything in response he wouldn't mind and he stayed in the rear, surveying the battlefield. He made his weapon clear however: with his satchel in one hand his other held a colt Single Action Army loaded with 6 mankillers, .45 long colt...though with his own eyes he could see they weren't fighting men right now. He growls again before looking for those brown-jacketed men and women once more, along with their fangled packs- their tecnology appeared to be made for killing the current opponents, the neck comment wouldn't go to waste either...he was just looking for any equipment not damaged enough to be put to better use than dressing a corpse as he made himself hidden while one of their own shouted quite loudly their intent and location. "amateurs...." he mumbles.

He muttered, before leaping towards the army, his tiger aura roared behind him as his attack speed increased and he began shredding through as many as possible.
