The ripples of space and time hovered above Mount Justice as well. Kaldur stared up as the reflection of the city shimmered above him.
Nightwing had left to contact the League, who must have already known, but none the less. As he studied the night skyKaldur's first assumption was magic. He had already lived through one instance of magic altering the universe, but that was different, it was a clean break. Clarion had created a world for adults and a world for children, two separate realities side by side. This may well be his doing, but it looked more like two world about to collide then being split.
He looked down from the sky towards his open palm. The ring rested there still saying the same thing, 'preservation'. A preservation of worlds, a preservation that could keep reality together. It had power, that anyone could sense, but preservation was not evil. It may be just what they needed. If Kaldur had read more books from the surface he may have been more hesitant to trust a mysterious ring of power with unknown origins.
With uncharacteristic recklessness he slipped it onto his finger and,

As the ring and the end of the world seemed to be happening, Cole looked around at the devastation, before shaking his head and sliding the ring on.
"This isn't the craziest thing I've seen or done, but it's still kind of out there."

"And what have we learned?"
He stood over the downed form of the Woodsman, carnage, wreckage and wanton destruction strewn all over the street from their brawl. Here, a banged-up streetlamp. There, a mangled taxi cab, the roof caved in from where Bigby'd landed on it after being tackled out a goddamn second-story window. Good thing Fables got more resilient the more popular their legends were among the Mundies - who hadn't heard the story of Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf and the Woodsman? They could've hit each other with pick-up trucks and walked it off a couple seconds later.
That scrape had cost Bigby a perfectly good cigarette, though. And that pissed him off.
"Nugh... go... fuck yourself, Wolf..." The Woodsman growled in abject fury, clawing weakly at Bigby's trouser leg. In the end, it had taken dirty tactics to put the big guy down. Bigby dodged a wild swipe, smashed Woody's head through a conveniently placed window and wailed away on his trapped body until he stopped trying to get loose and slumped dejectedly to the floor. He didn't even need to wolf out in the slightest. The Woodsman was drunk, slow, not at his best.
"I got people for that, Woody. Now get up. You're spending the rest of your night cooling off in a... cell..."
He looked up. The sky was falling. Everything was going to shit. Well then.
Bigby calmly took a drag of his cigarette. Far too calmly, given what was happening around him.
He sighed wearily and dropped it down, noting with faint interest that it flickered out of existence before even hitting the ground.
"See that, Woody? World's ending. It must be as sick of your bullshit as I am."
He cracked a mirthless smirk despite himself, which vanished upon his noticing that the Woodsman was flickering in and out as well, like some sort of twisted mirage. Add another notch to the list of things that pissed him off tonight. Woody was a pain in the ass, but he was a citizen of Fabletown, meaning he fell under his jurisdiction.
Though from the looks of things, it seemed like all of Fabletown was in the frying pan as it stood, layers of reality peeling away to reveal what looked like another one crashing down on them. He noticed the ring immediately, heightened wolflike senses coupled with eyes that missed nothing allowing him to train his vision on it immediately, making out the inscription after a moment of squinting. Preservation. Sounded like a cue if he ever heard one. He snatched the ring out of the air without a second thought and slipped it on, staring at his hand expectantly immediately thereafter

*BOOOM* "ITS A SIX HUNDRED CREDIT PART YOU PSYCHOS JUST GO GET A DIFFERENT ONE!" Roared Quill as he bounded through the gaping hole in the alley way wall that the armored thug had just created with his massive arm cannon. He sprinted all out for the stardock at the end of the road, the one his ship was parked in as he rapidly jammed a button on his glove repeatedly. "Come on come on come on come ON-" the ship's cannon's suddenly roared to life, dusting the thug in a precises spray of automatic fire as Quill whooped and sprinted up the docking ramp. He hopped inside and saw two things.
One, a ring that for some reason was on his dashboard, which he stared at in confusion for all of two seconds before pocketing because hey it looked like money.
Second, that Snerf and the rest of his gang hadn't been too far behind, not too surprising considering the trail of destruction Mr. tin can had wrought in his attempts to follow Quill. And at least two of them had guns that were far bigger than any gun had a right to be, heaving them off their shoulders to set up as Quill ran his hands down his face in exasperation as the engines fired up. "There's no way that those shells cost less than six hundred credits they are literally doubling their losses to try to kill me THERE IS SUCH A THING AS LETTING IT GO!" He leaped into action as soon as the lights turned on, flicking switches and turning dials in a desperate attempt to take off before- *SHOOOM* -before that happened, two bolts of purple energy tearing towards his ship just as the engines fully powered on, slowly rising....
he wasn't gonna make it.
"No no no NO NO NO-" And then, for no discernable reason, the bolts disappeared mid flight, his ship coasting on and upwards as Quill whooped in victory again and- ಠ_ಠ

Spawn had ceased his needless destruction of the inner sanctums of the church and had fallen upon his knees as he gazed upon the same blood red window. As if it would provide him answers to the questions he hadn't even asked yet. Pulling his mask back on after no answers came, he glared up at said glass as if it had forsaken him. But before Spawn could have left the solitude of the church he heard the clatter of something behind him and turning his head to look over his shoulder, chains emerged from within his shroud towards the descending object. Wrapping it up and lifting up the ring up to face level, Spawn's expression softened once his eyes beheld said object. At the same time another flashback occurred against Spawn's will as he recalled his wedding ring with the inscription graced in the inside of it. Al and Wanda forever. "Wanda.." But before Spawn could gaze upon the ring for what seemed like an eternity, a familiar voice pervaded the church.
"Hiya Spawny! Hrm? Aww Spawny is that a gift for me?! You shouldn't have.." The Vioator mocked as he reached towards the ring only to yanked to be face to face with the hell spawn. "Keep your friends off this ring, fat boy. Or else you'll be wearin that smile around your ass." Spawn snarled to which the Violator pried Spawn's claws off and started back towards your wife. "Hehehehe! If I was you, Spawn? I'd be more concerned with what's going on out here and not your undead libidio.." That caught Spawns's attention and racing after the demon, Spawn glanced around. "What the hell are you...talking..about?" it looked like another city was descending upon New York City and that included Rat City. "Old Man! Where are you!? OLD MAN!!!!" But it appeared the old man was nowhere to be seen. That was until his voice could have been heard seemingly coming from everywhere..
"Where I am does not matter, hell spawn. For this does not concern me but you."
Spawn turned upon the old man with outrageous fury. "What do you mean by that, you old bastard!?" The old man was unimpressed by the display of aggression from Spawn. "Instead of wasting your time taking out your anger on me. Why don't you put that ring on?" With that the old man vanished leaving Spawn by himself as he gazed back down at the ring and slipped it on. Damn old bastard..

Satsuki paused...Her gaze going towards the skies as she saw it all come down, a frown on her features as she analyzed the threat. Whatever it was, it appeared to be doing something to the world around her that she and others had fought so hard for. Her academy, her friends...Her baby sister. She would meet this threat with the same aplomb she would meet any as she turned and waited patiently...She had no regrets. She was a sister...And that was more than a comfort to her in- Wait. The ring appeared in midair and as she grabbed it, the world shifted....Changed....And when it cleared, so did she. She was dressed in her old school uniform...From before Ryuuko had darkened her academy's doorstep. Her beloved blade was whole again, no longer two weapons as it had been reforged after fighting her crazed mother. Curious, Satsuki ran her fingers through her hair....Long again. Whatever. Her appearance she could care less. No matter the world, she would bypass its dangers and return home. There was no other option to be contemplated.

Anyone bold enough to put on the foreign ring would probably feel like options were limited at best. However, each relic brought instantaneous relief and stability. The world around would still fall around them. The sky city loomed ever closer as each heroes planet continued endlessly fracturing. Within moments, everything they knew had either dissipated our splintered into oblivion. It was an oddly smooth transition: the universe itself was fighting, and the manifestation of its power was the peace of the transition itself. Each champion now stood in the new sky city. Each would appear on one large rooftop, surrounded by each other, and a group of men and woman with dual swords. They barely seemed to notice the sudden appearance of the strangers from another world. Instead, they listened to a woman with dark hair. Speaking with military authority, "We can't seal the breach to the outer wall. We can't kill all these Titans, we've lost too many troops... but there are innocent men, women, and children on these streets. We can give them time to evacuate to the safety of the inner walls! Let's move!" The group of military soldiers sprinted off the rooftops. Metal cables exploded from the instruments they wrote at their waists, attaching to other buildings and sending them on a high speed course. They left the group to either stay behind unnoticed or attempt to follow, despite the danger of strange Titans. In the distance, screaming and smoke filed the air not a mile or so away, toward the edge of the walls.

"Er...well. I'm not on Chorus anymore, from the looks of it. Shit...guys are gonna be pissed. And. My. Fucking. Pay. Day." He snarled, pissed off...
For a second, until he noticed the others. The fucks in uniforms, official and shit. "Ooooh." Those weapons looked nice. Worth a lot on the market, maybe? Or hell, just to keep. Like his shield.
"Hey, not to interrupt your dramatic rousing speech, I'm sure it's well rehearsed and all, but if you would mind filling me in on why I'm here and what the fuck is going on...that'd be great."
All that had been said before they had left.
"...Well shit." He looked around. "So...what do we got here?" Helmet inclined over to Udyr. "Hmm."

Udyr witnessed the world collapse around him as he ran. The enemy team, and his own team fell into a void, and as he looked to see where they'd fallen, he saw a ever ending chaos. A ring appeared before him, but it seemed each step he took got him no closer to it, as physics themselves were changing. He roared, empowering his bear aura to speed him up, and on the other side of the ring, found another version of himself. The ring, he now deduced, would help his survival. Likely, it was magic. Thus he needed it. The two clashed right above the ring, claws tearing at each other, flames being tossed, and mighty blows being landed. Soon, Udyr the spirit walker stood over the corpse of his clone and took the ring for himself, he had no idea what was going on, but he figured the ring could only improve his chances of survival. He found himself rather surprised when he appeared on top of a rooftop.
Noting the similar uniforms, and weapons, he deduced these were all soldiers, thus the meeting was likely a briefing. That meant enemies. He had no trouble finding the giants. These were a new foe, and he doubted he could take one down fairly. He waited to see the tactics of the group.

To say Bigby Wolf, garbed in his slacks, crumpled shirt and onyx-colored tie, stuck out like a sore thumb would be an understatement, his brows furrowing in momentary confusion as he took in the scene before him... gaze subsequently going off towards the smoke and destruction in the distance as he shielded his eyes and sniffed twice. Huh. He could smell the things, these "Titans", as the broad called 'em... rancid and distinct from the scent of human, easily distinguishable even at this distance. He swiftly turned to regard the others amassed on the rooftop with him, showcasing the take-charge attitude that made him sheriff as he stepped forward to the center of them, hands raised.
"Alright, before we all rush off half-cocked into some unknown shitstorm, I figure some clarifications are in order. Any objections?"
He chose his words carefully, being that these people, weird-looking as they were, were Mundies, and obviously that meant he was gonna have to watch his mouth. Even if his planet just goddamn exploded, the notion of Fabletown's existence getting out was hardly appealing.
"My name is Bigby Wolf. Sheriff Bigby Wolf. I was going about my usual business when all of a sudden the world went to hell, I saw this exact city bearing down on mine like a meteor, slipped on some kinda trinket that just... showed up in front of me, and then I was here. Sound familiar to any of you? I figure you're not with the locals. They all came with matching uniforms."

"I too have seen this, but at the moment, we have more pressing matters. Giants raze the city, and we must act to stop them. It will matter not what has happened to us shall we fall here. We may talk when the danger is not so pressing. I do not see how we can defeat these creatures, so I suggest we instead flee. That is, unless you have abilities I know not of... In which case, it would seem these rings have summoned us to a new arena for combat..." He said, mostly thinking aloud, but trying to give some help to the team since looking around, few of them screamed 'battle experience with beings from other realms' to him.

"Oh boy. A sheriff and a faceplanting guy. We're saved, aren't we?" He snickered. "Yeah, that sounds about right. I picked up this little trinket myself." He held the small ring in his palm. "After killing 47...no wait, 48! That's right. 48 targets killed. Was about to get paid for that day too, but no. Dropped into here with no warning. That said...I got a good look at those weapons before they ran off. Could be worth my while if I spoke to the guy in charge."
He sauntered up to the sheriff. "And I know you ain't him. Sheriff Bigby Wolf, huh. You don't look so big to me. And I ain't about to fight for these guys out of the goodness of my heart." He chuckled. "WE MUST PROTECT THE INNOCENT!" He mock repeated. "Oh man. No one's innocent. And I'm not about to do shit without a guaranteed pay so I'm going to go find the head honcho and see if I can work out an employment deal. Or just take what I can sell later. Excuse me."

The quiet hiss of a sword unsheathed would come from Satsuki's direction. She would be primed for battle now as she spoke quietly, yet her words were heard clearly by all. "A temporary alliance then. I approve of this." And with the click of her heels on the cobblestones as she walked, she added. "We should assist the natives...It will go some way towards gaining their goodwill, long enough for us to determine our next move then." Almost as an afterthought, she added to all. "I am Satsuki Kiryuin." Her gaze shifted towards Bigby as she remarked in addition. "No titles...Not anymore."

As he appeared on the rooftop, Cole glanced around at the others present, simply waiting to see what happened.
Once the others started talking and introducing themselves, he gave a minute shrug and simply joined the fray.
"I'm Cole Turner, and while I agree with the sentiment about there being no innocents, I also agree that if we help we'll likely get some goodwill, which will make getting paid that much easier. After all, if you want top dollar for your service, you need to have your customers be aware of the kind of quality you're capable of delivering."
