Jose/John: The two would move off into the woods nothing seemed odd in fact the morning seemed calm and peacweful aside from a few animal noises and a light breeze through the trees, as they moved on down the barely visible path there was a rustling to the side of them in the brush.
Main group: "Alright everyone move out!" The Lt. said "Column formation, weapons slung but be at the ready." With their marching orders complete they set off into the forest, the second pointman took the head followed by two riflemen and then the four support fire members including Cory and Jessica, the Lt. and then the other riflemen.
In addition to Lt. Ulridge, Basil, Jessica, Cory, and Victor was squad A which consisted of Persephone a rifleman:

Jose/John (Relayed to me via PM) Jose would motion for John to keep quiet and aim at the area while he went around to quietly flank the position. It could be someone fleeing or a wild animal. Shooting now would not only kill whoever it was, but give away their position. He wanted to avoid the latter, the former too if possible. He did his best to circle around and check the bush.
Main Group: "Aw, sug you really shouldn't say those kind of things." Jessica said who was right behind Cory.
Meanwhile Basil was right behind Victor, "So what are the chances they just broke their radio?" He asked knowing Victor was an engineer.

While Jose began to circle around, John covered his head with his hood and put his rifle over his back. Finding a suitable tree he climbed up for a better vantage point. Using hand signals he motioned to Jose that he could see nothing in the dense forest but would keep his eyes out and trained on Jose's surroundings

Jose/John: The precautions the two took were rendered unnecessary as a scamperer fled from the brush as it sensed humans, a scamperer was an antelope animal but just the size of an Earth rabbit, they made good eating but now was not the time for hunting. A few more miles and they would reach Out-town.
Main group: "Keep your voice down." Jessica warned. "And if you honestly need a reason, it's because they don't like it if you don;t have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, that's what my pappy always told me." At that point Lt. Ulrich had heard their talking. "Quiet! This has got to be the loudest patrol I've been on, pipe down or we might find ourelves in an ambush."

Wall was more than happy to answer Basil and leave Cory to...another female. When asked about the radio breaking, Victor shrugs.
"In a backwater place like Out-town? Possible yea. Maybe even likely, but maybe not either ya know? Our gear ain't foolproof but unless they ran out of materials, I'd trust someone to be able to patch it up. .even then" Vic grunts, shaking his head. " It's just one of those things where it could be anything." he answers. In short, he'd know when they got there. However when the Lt. brought up ambush, Wall glances over to Basil as if to question what he was worried about, that could ambush them.

John/Jose: Jose would shake his head in response to John's question, they would then proceed on getting closer to Out-town,the forest was quiet they should be hearing something from the town by now, music, voices, machine noies but there was nothing, at this point they had two options continue straight on to the town or climb over the hills for a good vantage point.
Main group: Basil stayed quiet as the LT ordered but he made eye contact with Victor and shrugged and mouthed the word "Bandits" trying to answear a question without speaking. Meanwhile Chris was muttering something under his breath, "Thirteen of us, not a good sign." Chris apparently held on to ancient superstitions regarding numbers.
Jack heard his mutterings, "Can that shit." He growled.
"Ears of a dog that one." Kimie said sarcastically half expecting him to hear her.

Jose grinned at that, he liked this guy's style. He followed along, trying to get a good view. If he was unable to, he'd do his best to sneak closer. He wasn't scared just yet, but he was curious and that might prove more dangerous. |
