@nova: I get an image, of a guy living underground, who can lift x amount of times, his own body weight, when I hear the term "Ant Man." Maybe it's not as bad as it sounds; it just sounds odd. And I would think there were a lot more well known Marvel characters, they could make a movie for. By the way, Z, a Google search yielded this: Ant Man director leaves. They're saying it will still be finished, by its originally planned release of July 17, 2015. But with the director leaving... I'd expect a delay, at some point. @marv: Yes! Where the hell's that?! That reminds me, I still need to get the Deadpool game. :/

Ant-Man can be a good movie if they deliver a nice balance of comedy, a good superhero story, and display why his abilities are interesting. Marvel could pull it off and I'm not surprised the Director left. He was working on it since 2006 before Marvel Studios got there act together and started making there film universe. Changes were gone be needed to fit Ant-Man into there world. Honestly knowing Marvel they will quickly find a Director and still put it out that same year. I just got the Deadpool game recently. I haven't played it yet.
Now how about that Gambit casting for X-Men: Apocalypse.....
I didn't see that coming.

Don't be ridiculous, he's a man who can shrink himself down to ant-size and talk to ants using a specially-constructed helmet. bigballerju: Yeah, it's an... interesting choice. Nothing against Channing Tatum, but I kinda liked the guy they had play him in Wolverine Origins. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for Liev Schreiber's awesome Sabretooth to make a return to the X-Franchise. Along with Ryan Reynolds's Deadpool. Say what you will about the movie, but it had good casting.

He can also grow...but that's technically Giant Man/Yellowjacket/Goliath/Wasp, not Ant Man.

Spiderman 3, X-men 3, and X-Men Origins all had great moments in it. I don't know why they get such a bad rap. . What's funny is all those films did great at the box office. Liev was badass as Sabretooth. I loved his fights with Wolverine.
The clip we saw of Ant-man taking out the guards was nice. Ant-man would be a superhero film families will love to watch similar to Spiderman and kids could get into him. Kids already like him in the Avenger cartoons. I think its a huge mistake not having him be a part of Ultron being created. It would make people even more interested in the character after Avengers 2 or whenever its coming out. Also I am still not happy Avengers 2 was named after one of the worst events Marvel ever had written.
By the way why the hell hasn't Namor been introduced already? Talk about missing a cash cow right there. Throw money at the Rock and get him to play the character. Finally increase his popularity to Aquaman's level with the general audience.
Also it was reported in X-men Apocalypse once again we are gone see people from the original X-men films and current films.
Sounds interesting.

Haha. I don't know if Namor wants Aquaman fame. Aquaman gets thrashed at every level in pop culture.
But yeah, I'd watch that movie.

Hate Tom Cruise? Why do you hate him?
I mean, yeah, he's an odd guy, but not too odd for an A lister.
Which reminds me, has anyone here seen Vanilla Sky?

Hesitating on seeing that, due to Tom Cruise, hate that guy. If I recall correctly, you don't like Eddie Murphy, either.. I agree with Marv, that he's a bit odd. Still, I've enjoyed quite a few movies, that he's been in. Mainly, the Mission Impossibles.

Eddie is mostly due to the fact that his comedy doesn't really entertain me, don't hate him, just bored by him. Tom, is based on his out of theater attitude and the Scientology nonsense.

I don't know enough about Tom Cruise to judge his behavior in real life and, while the Scientology nonsense is bad, I don't care about any of that when it comes to his movies. I've liked or loved almost all the movies he's been in recently, and I think he's a pretty great actor.
So, Edge of Tomorrow was pretty great, there are some generally funny moments in the film where the whole theater laughed including some suitably depressing parts.

Yeah, it's.. different, but a movie's a movie. If it looks like something I'd enjoy, I'll watch it, regardless of who's the star. I figure there's so many actors, in every movie, you're never gonna know what they're all like, outside the film.

Tom Cruise has starred in great films. I think people are so turned off by how he is in real life its hard for them to watch a film with him. I like a good portion of his films.
