Not to insult your intellect: It has a lot to do with it - last I checked, inter-familial relations were accepted in Japan. Last I checked, legal consent age limit was what, thirteen years old? More to the point, Japan and its culture, especially in modern society today, are flamboyantly open with their sexuality that it's in the anime that you watch. Not only that but its everywhere.  Obviously sexuality has something to do with it. Maybe just a little bit? |

Heh.
And wow.. I didn't know that. Sword Art Online could very well be the first U.S. televised anime, to contain these elements. Granted, I probably haven't seen them all, but I have seen a vast majority of them. I can't recall any, anyways. And I'm fairly certain none of the ones I've bought or wanted to buy, had anything of this nature. Only place I can remember it being prevalent is hentai. :/
In SAO's case, it kinda feels shoved in, for no real reason. It isn't until episode 15(out of only 25), that they show they aren't brother and sister, but in fact cousins. So now, all of a sudden, she's in love with him. What the..? And to me that only makes it all the weirder, since I had a friend whose sister wasn't related to him by blood, at all. Yet, they were like real siblings, and would have been revolted by the thought of being attracted to one another.

Hilarious would have been a better word choice, for Is This A Zombie? I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad one, that I enjoyed it as much as I did. :/ It's so wrong.. yet so funny. Only bad thing is, after watching the entire first season, I went to play the first episode of season 2, and my Vita gave me this message, "Cannot play this video."  I have yet to find alternate means of viewing it, with my Vita. If I had a computer that worked worth a darn, I'd try using that. But I don't, so that's out of the question.. So, for now, I'm stuck. Seriously, how can you not want to watch a show starring a zombie/chainsaw-wielding magical garment girl-err.. boy?   |

I started watching Attack on Titan the other week abd got through the first season. Love stuff like that, any suggestions as to other anime shows that I might like? Aside from Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist; seen em, like em enough.

The only problem I have with Baccano!, is that I think someone said it's based on one book, of many.. Does it still end, well enough? Or am I going to be annoyed, like I was with Spice and Wolf(also based on light novels, but leaves you hanging, since it only covers the first 3)? I'd have to see Attack on Titan, to know if there's something similar I could recommend. But I love Black Cat, and I could care less if Landon does. Wish there was more, than just 24 episodes. ;w; |

I will admit, it does end very broadly and abruptly, and only two of the very broad cast really get a satisfying conclusion to their stories. I don't think it was a bad ending, per se, but it doesn't scratch the surface of the light novels' story.
Worth it for the ride though. And yeah, I finally watched Black Cat last year. It was pretty fun. Train is a bamf.

Damn.. Well, I might watch it, anyways. It's just seemed to become a thing with me, lately. Kekkaishi, School Rumble, and the aforementioned Spice and Wolf all left me hanging, expecting me to read the rest of the story. :/
