Finally finished Baccano last night. Frikkin' awesome. Like, jaw-droppingly amazing. Not only is the dub fantastic, just... literally... everything. I'd honestly rank it my favorite series of all time - knocks stuff like Bebop and Hellsing out of the park. This is probably the only anime I'll ever freely gush over.
And it was only sixteen episodes long - really didn't even scratch the surface of the source material's saga. There are about ten light novels, and to my understanding the anime only just barely cleared the first.

RWBY is pretty fantastic. The lack of equal screentime distribution among characters upsets me.

SAO's dub premiered last night on Toonami. It was pretty. Other than that, it was your standard first episode. I'm just gonna ignore the whole "your show is crap, 'cause I find it inferior BS", that's been going on for years, since the old Forum, and address this post: When you say "standard," what exactly do you mean? Just curious. Also, do I know you? Or did you join, during my hiatus? I think Sword Art's dub has been fantastic, thus far. One of the best I've heard, in a long time. Granted, I don't watch subbed, so if a voice is radically different from the Japanese counterpart, I wouldn't know. This show has made me tear up, multiple times, already. I would soooo overpay for it, as long as it doesn't end badly. Just not what Aniplex wants... $160 for a 25 episode series, is pretty steep. Not to mention, you can't get it from, say, Amazon or Bestbuy, so I assume shipping is tacked on. And I'd probably need a prepayed Visa card or something, which tacked on extra charges, the last time I tried that..
And that's just the DVD sets. You want the Blu Rays, get ready to really pony up the cash. $90 each, if I recall, correctly. Making the total price $360, for a 25 episode series. Crazy..

Rob, you watched Deadman Wonderland on Adult Swim, right? Would you recommend it?

I thought it was decent. The girl's a bit annoying, but the surrounding cast makes up for it, in my humble opinion. I'd probably think about buying it, but it's another one of those series that cuts off, at some point in the manga... Japan really needs to stop doing this; I have way too much crap to try and read, now. >.>

Speaking of Toonami, IGPX was pretty good. Don't know why I never saw it before, but seeing as how I never caught Outlaw Star(watched) or Blue Gender(still haven't watched), and who knows what else, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Moving all the time, and not having cable for extended periods of time, sucked... Blue Gender worth checking out? It stars Eric Vale. <3

Highschool of the Dead finally has a new chapter. One.. Wish they'd start pumping this out, as fast as The Walking Dead, in the States.

AGH!!! 14 episodes of pure perfection, and they had to go and ruin it! I refer to Sword Art Online. I still like it.. but why? Just why? We now have a love triangle. And not just any love triangle, a "my cousin's in love with me" one. I just watched Elfen Leid about a week ago, and had to suffer through this same stupid crap. What the hell is wrong with the Japanese?! Do they really fantasize about screwing their cousins, over there? Or is this just some warped form of story-telling, that's wormed it's way into their media?

I had the exact same issue with Kaze no Stigma. They're like third cousins or something, in that one, but still. It just makes it so damn awkward to watch.

They are blatantly open about their sexuality that it's not even funny. Not by our standards at least.

At least I'm not the only one that's a little weirded out by this. Lol. I didn't know that about Kaze no Stigma.. That's a series I've been wanting to watch. Busy with Is This A Zombie?, at the moment, though. Funny show. They are blatantly open about their sexuality that it's not even funny. Not by our standards at least. Maybe my brain's not working quite right, after raking leaves for a couple of hours, but what does that have to do with them thinking dating their relatives is okay? Or does your statement even have anything to do with that? :/
