which is dumb considering the F4 are a primary marvel comic that has been around for decades. Deadpool is and extremely popular comic. X-men could actually use a decrease in the number of different comics. In the end while they consider it advertising for the competitions movies it will really only hurt Marvel. They lose revenue from those who already love those comics and once the movies come out new comic readers that are inspired to learn more about the characters will not have an ongoing comic to purchase. Marvel loses money due to it. You don't have to tell me it's dumb, I completely agree with you. That doesn't change the fact that that's what Marvel is doing though. They are basically replacing the things they don't have movie rights for, with things they do have movie rights for. Moving X-Men out, while putting Inhumans in instead, for example.

Seems like Marvel's version of Crisis. But that kinda goes along with Marvel's tendency to copy DC, usually years after the original.

I really have no f***ing clue. Just because someone gets the power of Thor doesn't automatically make that character Thor. That's his f***ing name, not his secret identity. And don't call me a bigot, because I like the idea of other characters getting Thor's hammer, as that could be very interesting, but I just think it's idiotic how they called her Thor. I think there was another character called 'Thor Girl' from an earlier period in comics, which was equally stupid. I've never understood how Mjolnir works. What makes certain people more worthy that others? How come it doesn't crush the Earth beneath it whenever Thor puts it down? Too many questions. No answers.

I don't think that Secret Wars will have much lasting change from the looks of things, as they said it wouldn't be a true reboot. I think Battleworld or whatever will just be a framing device that they'll use whenever they want to do multiversal crossovers and the like. So, let's just say that DC and Marvel were to do another series of crossover like how they did in the 80s. It would most likely take place in Battleworld. See what I mean?

Oh well, there goes my theory of it not being a reboot. Guess the Marvel universe isn't so different from DC's after all. Sad times.

New 52 was a reboot. They changed the history of almost all there characters but Green Lantern and Bruce Wayne. Although Batman Year One is non canon now.

So color me slow on this one, but I just found out about the whole Secret Wars thing. It's got me a little annoyed. I was going to pick up Spider-Gwen, I still will probably, partially because I liked the concept and partially because it seemed like an easy jumping on point. Her own universe and all. Then Secret Wars happened and seemingly cut the ongoing the fans were promised to three issues.
So now Spider-Gwen is on Battle World in May, I finally find a gateway comic and I'm being led by the nose into a big event. One that will most likely change the status quo of Marvel big time. I'm actually interested in a few of the comics coming out of this like X-Men '92 for nostalgia.
It sounds like they're going to take the best bits going forward and I'm hoping my gateway character makes the cut, there's a good chance she'll be fine I think, Spider-Gwen is hot right now. I can't believe I decided to jump on right before Marvel's Crisis. Oh well, to new beginnings.

Spider-Gwen is hype right now so I don't think she will be going away any time soon. I don't think Secret Wars will do away with her or the comic either. As far as I know, everything having to do with Spider-Man(or any of the other Spider things like Spider-Gwen) are getting it's own separate "zone" in Battleworld. All our Spider love under one continuity, or at least that's I know. So they can run the Spider-Gwen comic straight through the event without much delay or cancellation. As for the rest of it, I REALLY like how Marvel's doing Secret Wars. It's basically continuing stories and events for the past and giving them room to keep them going without continuity issues. That means, if all goes well, we could have a Civil War ONGOING comic book. The conflict would never end...or it would and then we see some kind of alternative aftermath, which would be cool too. All in all, a better set up than how DC's going to do Convergence.

The aforementioned one, Renew Yor Vows zones, and Spider Island. The way I figure this all is going down I figure there is going to be some sort of culling, hence the "War" part and whoever survives will go forward into the new continuity. With so many fan favorite things here whatever we get has a high chance of being good and whatever we don't will make people sad.

Secret Wars is ending the current 616 and Ultimate worlds for good finally. Its going to combine the two worlds and more to reboot it all together from what I read online. Yeah its not a better concept then DC being then are a lot from DC on this one. DC's Convergence has just as good a story behind it that's been built for a good long while in the New 52. Also Convergence is bringing back some awesome alternate worlds that people already exist and putting good stories behind them that all will eventually end up connecting with each other. Convergence has a one big hidden agenda behind it that people can't wait to find out. DC isn't rebooting anything and there still keeping everything in the New 52 afterwards probably with some changes to fix some things. This Convergence will official make the New 52 the new DC and finally get rid of that New 52 label that they should have removed early on already. Marvel probably is doing this reboot because they have come to the conclusion a lot of there books currently are getting to the point there about to run there course. Fantastic Four sales weren't doing good anyways for example, Marvel obviously doesn't know what the fuck to do with the X-Men, and more. Secret Wars is combining more of DC's Crisis Events, Elseworlds, and more together. There borrowing from DC basically in rebooting there universe with some original creative ideas of characters having to go back to prior events. There are a lot of good books coming out for Secret Wars. I just hope they don't use this as a excuse to make things closer to there film universe with this reboot. Not everything needs to be like the film or similar. I really hope Peter Parker is no longer Spiderman. Every new Spiderman has been great but him in Spider Verse. You don't need Peter. Spiderverse was so much fun to read and great . Also please god almighty Marvel make up your mind what the hell your gone do with Hulk and the X-Men finally! Oh I can't wait for this:

Oh I can't wait for this: God! the New 52 Justice League is the best. Been waiting for this shit to happen since the end of Forever Evil. And I will say that in terms of an Event, Convergence will probably have the better story. I just relate more to all the events that Marvel's Secret Wars are bringing back as I've read most of them. I've only really read New 52 stuff for DC so these other worlds they are bringing back in Convergence doesn't really do anything for me. I just hope all of it makes the New 52 even better!

I've changed my mind about Secret Wars. It actually looks freaking awesome. I think the story will end with all of the alternate Galactuses creating the new universe with their combined power.
Seriously though, Secret Wars will even have a DC created character in there, for real (DC's Thor from the 1940s). He's in the background of that massive Thor crossover cover.
