Numerius looked at Yoritomo, and sighed. "Everything is just fine. I believe I've mentioned about our group being bigger when we first arrived? About the Roman gal, and her Viking friends?" He scratched his head. "It just seems odd that such a fair lady would be associating herself with such barbarian brutes. Especially since her father is held in such high regard, being Legatus and all." He said. "I've had bad experiences overall with the Viking kind, my Father's caravan being raided by brutes when I was but a lad." Perhaps this past experience was clouding his judgement...perhaps. Numerius decided against telling Yoritomo of the Senator sitting in close vicinity. Yoritomo nodded and looked stern, "You mustn't let the actions of some individuals to sway your view on an entire people." He drank more of his wine, "There was once, when I was a child, when Ninja had tried to assassinate the leader of my clan. He managed to kill a few guards, my uncle being one of them, before he was cornered. He accepted his failure and turned his dagger on himself and took his life. The other samurai gave him a proper and respectful burial. 'Samurai must always show respect, even towards his enemies. Without this respect, we are nothing more than animals.' That is part of our code of Bushido." Numerius nodded, looking at his feet, Yoritomo's words still fresh in his mind. "Aye, Bushido, I've heard about that in my travels. The 'Samurai way of life', or something, right?" Numerius looked at Yoritomo. "I've killed many, many men in my time in the Legion. Vikings, Ninja, Samurai, most mercenaries out for money, some just confused men. I'm not one for burials, but I see where you're coming from."

"They are the best of us!" Tord said, talking about the Viking Royalty. "They keep the Warchiefs of each village united against any enemies who would dare challenge our claim to the sea! Sister of mine works for a King as an assassin. She's strong, like the two of you. Never married either, wanted to kill a thousand men before she wedded." "A thousand men, eh?" Minnora repeated with a raised brow, "She sounds... ambitious..." She trailed off as Tord continued... "Now... let us find this lake before the sky darkens. Up, up girls!" Tord proceeded to lift the girls onto his shoulders and make his way toward the city exit. She let out a surprised squeal as the Viking man reached around her waist and hoisted her onto his shoulder. She clutched the arm tightly to balance herself, afraid to fall. "People are going to look!" she half-hissed, half-whispered.

@arena
A wild scream echoed from the front stands as the first battle of the day ended as someone cried out.
"SOMEONE JUST FELL INTO THE ARENA!"
The only ones remotely close or prepared enough were the party....Do they attempt to save or just let them be?
Back with Senator Gaius and his group, he'd smirk and after perfunctory greetings remark.
"Some unexpected entertainment it appears."
@manor
Crossbows shattered as they intersected with blades, allowing them time to withdraw briefly to draw their own, as they roared and rushed as one to each of the unlikely allies. The majordomo would drop his robes, revealing leather armor beneath as he withdrew a wakazashi and crouched briefly, warily by the door.
@market
The presence of the wolf deterred most of them as the guard captain remarked.
"....Its possible we were mistaken. But we were given a description of a Pearl youth who is wanted by the senate. It is only our duty we seek to fulfill, naught more."

Yoritomo yelled as he threw his katana and wakazashi to Numerius "Guard these with your life, they're my most prized possessions!" he shouted as he pulls off the top half of his kimono and sprints towards the arena and jumps head first into the water to save who ever fell in

Unfortunately for whoever was too drunk or too stupid not to fall into the arena, Reiko was devoid of sympathy for them and as such merely observed, his expression pensive as his gaze flitted disinterestedly over the spectacle, a smile befalling his thin lips.
"Perhaps we shall see how those in our little group align themselves," he commented, leaning back in his seat.
"Savior... or executioner."

Numerius stood there, catching Yoritomo's possessions.
"Naive lad, but courageous nonetheless. However, falling into the Arena is a danger one must risk when watching the games. It's is our culture, Yoritomo will surely be punished, not rewarded for this." He explained to his companions.
He shook his head, "No, Not an executioner. This is the way of the Arena, where people go to die."

"People are going to look!" she half-hissed, half-whispered. "HAHA!" Tord bellowed as he adjusted himself to the weight and then passed through the market, nearing the gates to the city. "Let them look! Maybe they will get an idea of Viking strength, HAHAHA!"

"The men in particular, always so eager to show off. It's not like I couldn't do this too." She shrugged, just relaxing as much as humanly possible while seated on another's shoulder, looking utterly bored as she stared at the people they ran past.

Minnora enjoyed the view from her perch at Tord's shoulder. As embarrassed as she was, she felt comfortable in high places. And the mass of people had dwindled, leaving few to admire them. She sighed, allowing her tension to roll off. From here, she could see the forest from which she had traveled just past the acres farmland. A mammoth was dragging along a caravan of supplies away from the city. The sky was full of chatter... "The men in particular, always so eager to show off. It's not like I couldn't do this too." "Now THAT is something I'd like to see!" Minnora laughed, patting Tord's helmet for emphasis, "You carrying HIM on YOUR shoulders!" As she finished her statement, she could hear louder screams from the direction of the Arena... But they were too far off. She couldn't make out anything specific. Something particularly gruesome must have occurred...

The crowd seemed to be getting louder. Maybe they finally claimed a victor? "Aye, shall we continue on our way or see what the commotion is?" Tord asked the girls.

Fighting with Roman Soldiers was a mistake on any given day, but considering how strict they had been lately it was completely foolish. Whatever crime they accused Reynard of was nothing compared to killing a Roman. "Now, I assure you, there has been a mistake. Are there not many youths, from all around the world, coming in and out of Rome daily? My young friend and I are simple diplomats, healers even. What makes you think he is the one you're looking for?

Zaynah grabbed the nearest guard to her person and pressed her curved dagger harshly against his throat. He was quick enough to deflect her stab, to her dismay, but she wouldn't allow him time to retreat. Using his body as a meat shield, she attempted to hold him still through fear of death. As far as she knew, Romans had that, she wagered.
"I'll spill his jugular across the ground, I swear! Let us leave, or else!"

Fen glared at the majordomo with rage tempered into focus. She quickly took two meditation beads from her sleeves, threw them at the guards who stood in front of her pulled as the wrapped around their necks. "You dare pull that blade against me majordomo? Are you prepared to use it?" She tugged tighter with each second.

"The only commotion they encourage is death," Minnora answered disdainfully, "If we're going swimming, I'd rather the water not be stained red."

Hansel wtched the event unfold and watched the samurai threw himself into the arena, "Mein Gott!" He exclaimed.
