Activity on this forum is generally slower than on the original EF, so the slow periods (which we also had then) are even slower than before.
I can't recall whether there's another thread with basically the same topic, which was created last slow period, or we just discussed it on the chat.
Regardless this isn't the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last.

Yeah I here you, this lapse in activity is disconcerting but I wouldn't worr too much, though I know it's frustrating when you're trying to do an RP

At this point, it's not so much frustrating as it is worrying. I can't be upset at the lack of activity, I only wonder about the growing trends. Jain is likely right though, probably won't be the last time.

I think it was you and I that discussed this before a ways back, saying we were both going to maybe check out other forums. You'd think the site in my sig would be perfect for me, considering how into trophy hunting I've become, but I don't know.. I think I liked that EF was a smallish community, where you pretty much knew everyone's name. That PSNProfiles site kind of scares the bejeebus out of me, so I'm probably not going anywhere(unless we can't afford the internet any longer, and it becomes beyond my control).
22 members were online in the last 24 hours, though. I think that's about average. Haven't seen it any higher than 20-30, myself. Kinda sad, when you have 115 registered. Where they all go? And then there were people like HWFM, Rakai, Redwallfan, etc. that didn't even migrate over..

As I understand wanting to try other sites wouldn't that be counter productive? I mean the site wont get any faster if more people leave. That's why there's been a lot of people trying to gain a bit more members.

yeah, i wish we could get more activity here. One thing we could try would be to share the facebook group on our main page so the hundreds of "friends" we all have can see and maybe peak intrest

Also, I'm having trouble thinking of decent rumble ideas, and I have absolutely no plans to make any more matches yet unfortunately. Revision and studying for exams is really my top priority at the moment, as I now only have sporadic breaks between study sessions to go online and play games for now. Making long matches and arguing over who would win in a fight over the years, however, really did help me out with my language and literacy skills, so in a way, being on this site is actually quite helpful.
Ironically, my most uninspired rumbles like Doomsday versus Hulk have been my most well liked. Ones that are actually quite good and original like my recent Achilles versus Riptor rumble go unnoticed.

Mm, maybe we could have a month where we swap topics for the hell of it. INC guys do a one-shot RP, RP guys can make a rumble, etc  . I'd be up for the idea, problem is peeps here would have to agree to it. Still, yeah it's a slump. Though I think maybe we could every so often just see a poke here and sound off. |

i'd still be up to having the writing contests like before the old ef went down. I would even be willing to provides prizes myself (though they wouldnt be to the scale of what they used to be. ex. $20 gift card)
