Ah, May. A month generally overlooked if you're not a) Hispanic (of a specific type, perhaps, but nonetheless), b) a mother (hope none of you forget Mother's Day presents), c) have a family/personal event that happens(/ed) to fall here in this month that desperately needs attention, or d) a student whose school systems let out in the middle of this underappreciated lunar cycle.
So here's what I want you to do. Make a character to shake the very foundations of this quiet month. I want them loud and proud. I might also give you points if they utilize flowers in some regard. Anyway, deez da rules: 1. Word limit, 350 per section. Longer than previous months, but I have a lot of time this month, since I'm not competing. 2. Nature-themed! Grass, trees, mushrooms, who cares? As long as it would have a place in an area untouched by man, it's living, and it's colorful, use it and abuse it. 3. No inanimate object-nature-themes. Rocks are a no-no. 4. Vibrant in some form or another. I don't really care if they look like a Goth, if they're just a ray of sunshine wherever they are, consider it acceptable. 5. All sections must be submitted in the form of poetry of some sort (minus free verse; basically, it has to rhyme). That isn't to say you have to stick to one form of poetry for the whole character. Go from haiku to limerick if you want. 6. Characters are due by the end of Sunday, May 31st.

Poetry. You want us to write poems.
You're sick, and I like it.

Corvette, I hope you caught Pseudo's character. The jerk hasn't posted it on this thread yet.
That stupid jerk, with his writing and rhyming and stuff. Hate that guy.

I didn't know I had to post it here, but yeah. I wrote a bunch of poetry. It was really difficult to do every section in a different poetic meter, but it was fun.

I've seen both characters. I have to say, I'm impressed with the both of your commands of the language. If I win a future competition, I'm going to make you guys do more poetry ( ) because I actually really like your entries.

I haven't even got a character concept together. And the poetry part is just gonna be that much harder.

Do or die time, boys.
If I only have two entries to review, I will be indeed morose.

If I only have two entries to review, I will be indeed morose. I think there's actually three entries here. To avoid confusion in the future, members that make entries should probably also include links to their entries when they post in the Contest threads, just as we did for the last CBUB tourney back on EF. And seriously, guys, if you're really trying to make a new FPL, more of you should be contributing to these contests that were created to help promote the INC.
