I only count Nihlium and Pseudo's characters, with a reservation for Bergy's.

Ah, my bad, then. But yeah, guys, from a glance this actually looks like one of the easier contests you've had. Should be more entrants than this.

Yeah. Could have been finals week syndrome fr some College/University students here. This months competition should be better.

Sadlife, as promised. Nah. I really liked the entries for this month, at least. Results will be posted by noon at the latest.

This was undeniably a close one for me. Both were kind of "forest protector" types who killed people. One, it seemed, however, was doing it for the good of the forest, while one was a twisted facsimile of the "mommy-type."
The Winner: The Warden, by Nihlium. I thought this entry was really cool and the way you fit him into Little Lovecraft was a nice touch. There were a few places where another proofreading would've done you some good, most notably with commas and pluralization, but I really liked your pacing and flow.
The Mother, by Pseudo While the overall feel of the character was really good, I couldn't quite decide if she was a hero or a villain. Also, the one-stanza invisibility kind of threw me off, like a "that's it?" sort of deal. I congratulate you, however, on your tone, which made the Mother into this mysterious figure for me. Perhaps role-ambiguity is what you were shooting for, and if so, good job; that said, I'd have preferred some more details.

Well done, dude. I should have known that going Haiku was a bad idea.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. And sorry. My life basically got entirely away from me in that last week, I just didn't have the time/creativity/couldn'tfigureoutthisexcuse for making a contest entry for May.
But hey, June contest maybe?
