So between being unable to properly answer questions regarding the location and people worrying that there’s too much backstory to worry about let’s just all agree to do this one together. Now then, let’s get the basics out of the way(Primarily because I don’t think I worked the poll right).

What is Reach City originally?
The short version is it's an alternate earth with all the meta human, mythological, magic goodness you'd hope for and more. The oddness has always sort of been around, but until around the 1900's it was usually stuff that could be passed off as legend, myth, or just tall tales. The titular Reach City was made in the early 1900's as a sort of superhero Australia where people discovered with supernatural abilities were kept rather than executed(you can imagine how turn of the 20th century would react to incidents). Of course the private contractor in charge was on the benevolent side so it went from that to a superhero central which was a decent place for gifted to reside and while the world unfolds decently similar to us, with all that action(superman types, rampant vigilantism, supernatural occurrences, a shit ton of super intelligent inventors and scientists,etc) at an epicenter to be cultivated there are a quite a few differences from the 1910's to modern day. The long version is that I have a few events involved that include a 50’s throwback alien invasion at some point, a lot of random tech in addition to super human genetics and mystic powers, and at some point the UN ends up having to relegate how superhumans work in things like armed forces and registering what hero is capable of working where. For the purpose of an RP being built, I think it’s best we see where people want to add things in so as of current here is what Reach City's history is currently-
*Built in the early 1900’s(late 1901 in my notes)
*Created by an entrepreneur who had a son with the ability to manipulate minerals who decided to make it a safe haven for him, originally as a private island.
*Due to somewhat shakier international law being a bit sketchy at the time, said Entrepreneur filled out several contracts to build the Island somewhere in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean(sandwiched by the Americas, Europe, and Denmark) and the boy’s skill with power along with volunteers who wished severance helped build it to original size of 39 sq mi.
*Within a decade, the listed acts regarding superhumans enact, Reach Island is contacted to see about holding a few convicted superheroes too dangerous to keep in-state. Not wanting to risk action for denying, he agrees. The population would grow since several convictees proved either remorseful for their actions or innocent. Until sentences we’re lifted they were kept separate but treated well.
* The idea of a place just for superhumans and isolationists alike grew after the first World War until an expansion of the Island was done over the course of the 20’s and 30’s to around the size of the Manhattan Island(actual sq mile number can vary), made possible due to the advanced wealth of the entrepreneur and superpowers that happene dot be useful for collecting and solidifying landmass. Population was not counted during this time, but civilization and a fully functioning city was complete by the 1940’s.
While I have other things of note, for simplicity sake and to fit in with the apparent preference of Genetics over tech for INC, from around the 50’s to 90’s I will be using minimal ideas from my RP if anyone wants to do something with Reach City(like Prae-Sec that Deo's working on). The one things I do have in mind is G.E.A.R. Technologies, short for General Enhancement Advanced Research, it’s originally an expy of STAR Labs and essentially the catch-all scientific laboratories where all kind sof comic book science-y stuff occur. Originally I intended a lot of different kinds of military applied science and one-off tech would get sent here once it became obsolete/prove not-cost effective Reed Richards style but I have a feeling this world is a lot more focused on genetics and the unknown factor, so if we do keep it I don’t mind repurposing the place to better fit the tone if I’m right. about how tech works.
Question 1: When added in with the rise of the Meta Human and Hitchens plot line we did work on, does the history of Reach City work and are we ok with it? If not, then ideas go here otherwise I'll keep putting out stuff and see what sticks.
Where should it be?
In my original story, it was an artificial Island in the North Atlantic Ocean. This was to both create a world separate form more 'real' stories and as an excuse to be able to shuffle around types of characters when need be without drastically altering the 'modern day' aspects of superhero stories. Awhile back Deo did ask about just making it an American city and let the consequences hit the place with all the force. Similarly I wondered if anybody wanted to be original and have it be out of the Americas, but that is a very big departure from most other ideas and would have to be a big change.This part I feel is pretty important since that'll show just how connected several groups are to each other.
Question 2: Where should Reach City be? In an isolated island like I wrote, somewhere in the US, or outside the US? Or somewhere else not even covered by that?
Should we call it Reach City?
I've seen the explanation for not throwing out ideas because they aren't sure of the background or don't know how to do their research. My simple answer to this is as such; change the name. If it's not Reach City, then you guys don't need to worry about anything outside of what I'm saying here. I don't mind keeping the name and adding in more ideas but if it's going to be a problem to anyone I can live with something different, especially if what it becomes veers far from the original concept. Not that it's a problem.
