One bucket should be fine, though we may eventually want to separate it by tier at least (street, global, cosmic) to make searching easier. Though right now it doesn't look like that will be an issue for awhile.

I think forcing us to stratify our characters by morality is more limiting than it is freeing. Sarah Maroon, for instance, in the FPL started as a hero, became disillusioned with the whole thing and became a vigilante, then was mind controlled into being a villain, broke the mind control and kept being a villain for kicks, and then eventually ended up working with the heroes in a last ditch attempt to take out Ouroboros. So, uh, it can get fairly complicated. Just one section, a big ol' character bucket, should be good. How would that work? Do you add more story to your character every fight? Did she lose a fight and get mind controlled? Was she mind controlled in a fight? OR did you just write that in her lore? Sorry, once again I have to make it very clear that I never even touched FPL back in the day. |

Things like that were mostly done through fics,RPs and fights written as fics. It was what made the fpl organic and dynamic. There were even teams within teams which added a greater complexity. The trick to INC/fpl is to think of it as a comic book company.

I had a couple characters I wanted to be a little more dynamic that the system allowed, but if anything, sections could come in handy later so that we can find characters better. If we ever get to the database size we had in the FPL, one bucket just would be a hassle to shift through. For now, a bucket will work wonders though.
Also, I feel like an RP of sorts, or some sort of co-op fic, would really help us to build our universe a little better. The writing is awesome so far, but a collaboration project would really help build foundation and lead to more spin offs. ie- The Redeye Project

I believe I have the gist of the timeline unless any big decisions/changes were made since we fortified a timeline and started putting out a few fics(slowly reading rough those without commenting). Otherwise I'll get to work on something after I survive the mistake of taking multiple classes with multiple essays required. |

As of when I last checked I was the only person with a character in the database. You can't have a one man rumble. Though I may have to create Captain Template one of these days.

I'm wondering if we can change Ouroboros. It's just not sitting well with me. I just re-read their description and I don't know what they want. Every other public group has a goal, something you can base a character for.
And the secret group inside Ouroboros just had its name changed from Chimera to Asura, but that still doesn't explain why they need to be there. Why does the secret organization need another turducken-ized secret organization inside it. Why not just name team Asura? It would certainly be easier to spell.
I'm still not crazy about the nazi background, but thats another issue.

As for a goal. How about an organization that seeks to create a portal into the Garden of Eden in order to find and eat from the tree of eternal life. The only way to do that is to 1: Find the Legendary Substances (Alkahest, Azoth and Philosophers Stone). 2:Gain control of the planet and use the population as an enslaved work force. 3:Use the work force to create an army of Golems 4:Create the portal and conquer the Garden of Eden.

Yes. Let's roll with it. If we need a super spy organization for other spy-junk, we'll create another one. But as of now, Asura is full of immortality cultists looking for those things.
