You know the formula a creepy kid with supernatural powers that proceeds to creep out the audience and the adult characters in the movie. Their backstory is usally marred with tragedy, they are usually mistreated usually because some nutty adult thinks they're evil because of their powers. But what if these kids had a differant upbringing? What if instead of being treated to fear and hate they went somewhere where their powers would be appreciated and taught to control their "gifts?"
What if they were brought to Charles Xavier's school for gifted youngsters? Examples:
Carrie: If she was taken away from that hischool and her religious nut mom and became one of Xavier's pupils would she still go bad?
Samara: The creepy girl from the ring who is supposedly the daughter of a seademon or something, was ultimately murdered. But instead of being given to those useless foster parents what if she got a chance to enter Xavier's school? Would she still be a creepy kid?
Anyways thoughts on this would be appreciated and feel free to suggest your own examples
