Venom did do a fantacy draft (he called it the mock draft). Only like four people participated and he got frustrated and cancelled it but the people participated had fun. He did the best he could making six random matches each week. There was just too many human factors that kept it from being as good as the old one.
As always, the main problem was participation.

Now what about posting links to you matches and maybe even discussions in the character profiles. It would show character usage and help people to see who's more known. Naturally everybody won't do it, but it would be a good job assignment for lazy rumble makers Interesting ideas, but we Character Admins already put links to the matches in which characters are involved in their profiles once the matches' voting wraps. Also, I'm not really sure about full debate and discussion within the profile threads, as the threads themselves could get cluttered pretty fast. Might be best just to use the match threads for discussion and debate, as always. Another possibility for more participation might be to use the character profiles as you own personal image galleries. You guys can find random images of your favorite characters from the 'net and post them to their respective profiles using the image tags. |

I think videos would be a good idea to add into the profiles. Many characters have highlight reels and battle scenes that would help when people are researching them. Character admins shouldn't have to bother with this, Members can post links just like cool pictures.
And by discussion links in the profiles, I mean like when somebody makes a thread about a character in something other than matches and rumbles. Like my president thread with Bartlett and Whitmore and Palmer and Marshall. Just so people can easily see character usage.

In fact, Venom had already started posting vids for some of them: electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/650/volcanaThe only thing I could see to watch out for is the context of the vids, but other than that, it seems fine to me. The main reason it was never done on EF probably had to do with serge having to put it in the site's code.
