I haven't seen Apocalypse yet, but sometimes pointless noise can be fun. Except when it's BvS because that movie was total shite.
I kinda agree, kinda don't agree about Cap. The Sokovia Accords really just set up the conflict and then disappeared. Which was okay because the movie was still moving along fine. Plus, Zemo is a villain that wasn't hellbent on destroying the world and some grandiose plan. He was just a dude who lost some stuff and wanted revenge for it. Nice change of pace villain. However, the reason for the final fight between Cap and Iron Man was super dumb and felt very contrived.

X-Men was fun and as a fan I thought they ended it perfectly. About fucking time is what I said once I saw there costumes and all of that at the end. The ending felt like the real X-Men we all know from the comics in this timeline was finally being formed and will be closer to that. By the way that Wolverine scene was epic. Please give me that in Hugh Jackman's last Wolverine film. The guy that played Zemo did the part well actually and he set up Zemo perfectly to be used in the future if they want. However what they did to Crossbones was a crime (Seriously Marvel?!) and the way they went after him all gung ho proved Ironman right. It made Cap look dumb and you add that in with Tony's parents. This film ended making Cap look bad. Also I am not sold on this kid playing Spiderman yet. I have to wait till the film. Antman was great of course.
Warner Brothers apparently is cleaning house and changing up positions in regards to DC films. More creative has gone to Ben Affleck, Geoff Johns, and others. I loved the second half of Batman vs Superman but that first half is very bad. I'm interested to see in the Ultimate Edition what they cut out. I agree ZS should not direct Justice League and I don't want Goyer anywhere near the films. I don't care if its Producer, just to give a creative opinion, or whatever.

However, the reason for the final fight between Cap and Iron Man was super dumb and felt very contrived. I thought the movie was at its best when Cap and Iron Man (and their respective factions) disagreed about the ideological differences of the registration act. They could have fought over that, Baron Zemo's whole plot to make the heroes fight each other not only didn't make any sense, but it was completely unnecessary and split the focus of the movie. If they would have dropped that and saved Zemo for some other movie the movie would have been more clear and more interesting. As it was, the movie had three separate plot lines (Winter Soldier, Registration, Baron Zemo) in addition to numerous major character reveals (Zemo, Spider-Man, Black Panther, probably someone else). Maybe if they dropped the whole thing about the assassins and Baron Zemo they would have had more time for better characterization, maybe they could have actually explained why some heroes chose the sides they did. Maybe they could have worked on the allegory to gun registration that the original comic was so clearly about (which I thought was fun and interesting, if a little bit propaganda-y).

I agree that why people were on certain sides of the registration was totally downplayed, if there at all. While I do see where you're coming from where everything else besides the registration got all convoluted, the actual movie parts (acting, directing, cinematography, dialogue) were done so well, it's still a very enjoyable movie. The numerous character reveals is nothing new to Marvel and they still handle them all well.

Watch "The World's End". Do it. Oh, and every other film in Edgar Wright's trilogy.

Saw Warcraft last night. Not as terrible as some people are claiming. I'm only real gripe is that it plays too much as if its a prequel or part 1 of a trilogy. I'll be very surprised if we even get a sequel.
5.5/10

It made 90 million in China which is good. Warcraft needs to be able to win over the general audience since its a pretty hard sell. We will see how it does overall this weekend.

I recently saw Warcraft, Apocalypse, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and Independence Day 2 and thought they were all pretty good films. My cousin, who is a huge Warcraft fan was telling me about the changes they made to the story afterwards and it seems like quite a bit was changed. I saw A and TMNT 2 on the same day and, while I enjoyed both, I think TMNT 2 is the superior movie. It just seemed to have a funner tone throughout the movie - though I wish Krang's appearance hadn't been spoiled so early in the movie (and in the commercials).

Warcraft cleaned house and made a lot of money overseas. I am happy for yhe fans. Me I never liked the games. TNMT 2 looks fun. I might have to ask a friend if he wants to check it out.
