I'm not too bothered by this, but I haven't seen the movie and only 8 episodes of the show. Once I finish it, I might try to watch the movie and see if it deserves the hate. My brother has it, I'm pretty sure, and my mom liked it. But she's never watched the cartoon.. But I now hate you, Shockwave. -.- I looked up DB: Evolution after reading this, to see how well it did financially. Only like, 9 mil here. But in China, it did pretty well. Well enough, in fact, that there is going to be a DB: Evolution 2 in 2016, according to a Youtube video(can't link on Vita, so you'll just have to search for it). For the love of all that is good, why? Wait...WHAT/~! DBE is getting a sequel? To be fair that one wasn't AS horrible as Last Airbender...but... that's not hard to do...

No news has been posted on a sequel to Dragonball Evolution so that youtube video could be fake or doesn't know what its talking about. Last Airbender 2 was confirmed though I believe.

...Yeah, I should have read some of the comments. Apparently, it was an April Fools' Day prank. :/ Well, that's one crisis averted.

But is The Last Airbender really worse than DB: Evolution? I just don't see how that can be possible..

Both are just awful, no two ways about it.

But is The Last Airbender really worse than DB: Evolution? I just don't see how that can be possible.. As bad as Evolution was...there were points that were clever in it. Bulma for starters wasn't a screaming damsel but actually a creative combatant and shoot first, a bit more Lara Croft. Roshi's island was also clever. And the intentional joke between Goku and Bulma was funny "Have you tried Master? M-a-s-". It might not have gotten a lot right but there are defendable points. Last Airbender...DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THAT! Seriously...NO GO! Terrible writing, acting, and it all felt like a middle finger to us fans.

While not a faithful adaption and a bad one at that. Last Airbender as a film was not worse then Dragonball Evolution. Dragonball in every aspect was horrible because of the lack of budget and bad script among many other reasons.

Though I was sorely disappointed with DBE (as I had been waiting on that movie for the better part of my life), at least it could still be considered a movie in my opinion. Characters, though not faithful to their source, still made sense and had development. The Last Airbender, and I'll stand by this statement, should not have been considered a movie. That shit was a compilation of half-assed scenes put together to resemble the first season of a Nickelodeon show! It was like a long, boring ass trailer. The characters weren't fun and nobody watching it had fun. At least DBE was a decent attempt at a live-action Dragon Ball movie...

Guess I'll have to judge for myself, after I finish Season 1 of the cartoon. But I imagine this is probably a case by case thing. My mom, who liked Airbender, would most likely think DB: Evolution was fricking dumb, for instance. But I could be wrong. She saw some of the anime, though, and thought it was stupid, so yeah.

If you think DB is dumb going in the movie's only going to be dumb. I'm working up the nerve to buy both these terrible movies from my local dumb dvd store and watch them back to back to see how terrible they are. I'll stand by my statements on what DBE does do right. Not in their choices on how they were executed at times (could have gotten an actual male actor to play Goku) but at least they "kinda" showed creative thinking or at least attempts to make a movie. Last Airbender....Well....there's a reason I'm buying it from a crappy second hand store. *draws katana* and I might even film it.

I did not see Evolution show any creative thinking and they did not even attempt to make a good film. They treated it like some low budget direct to dvd garbage. I won't say Airbender is worse because it at least had some decent fight scenes that were fun to watch and it was actually given a huge 150 million dollar superhero film sized budget. The studio tried with that film at least to some degree. It's just that the stupid assholes in that film studio made the same dumb changes that they always do with these adaptions and couldn't keep there hands out of creative. Many Directors have for years talked about this. Like I said the film was actually successful at the box office for a reason no matter what anyone says and people do not go see bad films multiple times at the Theaters for it to not only make its budget back but double its profits.

I'm pretty damn sure you got those backwards. Just because Last Airbender had a bigger budget doesn't mean they treated it better. In fact I'm pretty sure you could say they treated it worse but gave it more of an advertising budget (part of it's budget). In fact, if you believe this article it was actually treated a lot worse and almost all creativity was pulled from the show.
