Yeah, I take the comic with a grain of salt.
I had a thought about his slow metabolism too. I've also got another theory, maybe two: Perhaps the reason he doesn't use his radioactive breath as frequently as a few prior Godzillas would is because it depletes his stores and maybe he also gets some amount of radiation from the kaiju he hunts and kills. Somehow, even if it's not explicitly shown on screen.
Man, I love talking about Godzilla.

I don't hate Rodan by any means, but he isn't a particularly elaborate design compared to some others, but I guess that can be part of his charm, which is the same reason why Angurius is abnormally popular, especially over here in the west.
But really, is anything about the Godzilla franchise in any way plausible? Would seeing a giant, electricity-wielding ape the size of Godzilla fighting Godzilla, be so weird, especially compared to some of the other Kaiju seen over the years. Megalon's a massive bug with drills for hands who shoots bombs from his mouth and is controlled by an underground subspecies of humans who can somehow contact aliens. Gigan is an alien mercenary from the Space Hunter Nebula M with a chainsaw on his stomach and daggers for arms. Hedorah is literally a laser shooting turd. Kong looks normal compared to those guys. I'm just saying that a 120 metre ape versus a 120 metre dinosaur wouldn't be so ridiculous because Godzilla already is ridiculous, but awesome.
I guess that's a good thing that came from the later Showa era; creative monster designs.

I actually adore Angurius too. He's a hilarious design.
You have a point there, but if you were to try to make anything plausible in that setting though? I admit a lot of the designs are zany as hell. Among my favorite enemy kaijus are Space Godzilla and Destroyah. Fantastic designs.
Yep.

I admit a lot of the designs are zany as hell. Among my favorite enemy kaijus are Space Godzilla and Destroyah. Fantastic designs. Yep. You and me are going get along juuuuust okay. I think Anguirus is pretty cool. I have to ask though, was it ever explained how he managed to come back from the dead after Godzilla Raids Again? Space Godzilla is wacky as hell, and possibly a sly callback to the later Showa designs like the ones mentioned previously. I mean, a flying Godzilla clone from space with massive crystal spikes on its back? It's just so random. Sign me up for the fan club. And, yeah, everyone likes Destroyah. Everyone. Godzilla vs Destroyah is arguably a far better finale to Godzilla as a whole than Final Wars was, especially since Final Wars doesn't take place in any previously established continuity. I think that all of the Godzilla monsters are cool in their own ways. There aren't really any truly bad ones in my book, just ones that aren't as great as others. Even the American Godzilla wasn't really that bad. He's pretty much Gorosaurus, and no one ever complains about that guy. If I had to make a list of the worst Godzilla enemies (barring the not-so-giant giant monsters like the Giant Octopus from King Kong vs Godzilla) it would probably contain Varan, Ebirah and Gabara, mainly because the first two are criminally underdeveloped and more dull than the others, and because everything about Gabara confuses me. Okay, in his debut film he's supposed to only be imaginary, yet he still shows up in other works by Toho and even received a bio in the Godzilla Game which refers to him as if he were real. I like to believe that the kid from Godzilla's Revenge was a mutant that could create things with his imagination, and thus Gabara emerged in the 'real' Godzilla universe.

I've read on Godzilla Wiki that Godzilla apparently comes across a city that he can't destroy as part of one of the ironic punishments. The folks at IDW are really having a laugh with that series. I'm not-so-patiently waiting for Mad Max: Fury Road to come out on DVD. I NEED THAT MOVIE. NOW.

I just saw that Mad Max Fury Road. One of the best films put out in years. Blows away even Avengers Age of Ultron in my opinion and AOU was a good movie too.

Age of Ultron was complete trash. Mad Max was basically made by that final chase scene (within the larger chase scene that is the entire movie), that was pretty sweet.

*spoilers ahead*
Hitman: Agent 47 really wasn't as bad as the reviewer sites claimed. A fairly standard action flick, nothing too exciting or great, but decent. I find it quite funny how the writer seemingly only just realised halfway in that his film was rated 15, so added in a random and needless topless (from the back) swimming scene with Katia just because. XD
It has quite an ambiguous and surprisingly interesting ending. I interpret it as Agent 47 being a manipulative asshole the whole time because that makes the most sense. It's stated that 47 lacks emotions, so all of those times where he shows inklings of warmth or anger could easily be interpreted as simple but convincing acts. He pretty much succeeded in all of his objectives at once. He managed to kill both the leader of the syndicate and his main target, he managed to incapacitate his main rival, Brian the evil Wolverine knock-off, and he bagged himself a powerful sidekick that may become equally emotionless after being away from the pills for a while.
Until it was revealed that the clone of Agent 47 at the end was actually Agent 48, I initially thought that he was supposed to be the version of Agent 47 from the games sent to kill the version from the film reboot. An epic fight between the two should actually happen at some point.

Wolverine knock-off? Wut? He only had sub-dermal titanium implants. I think it was a little bit more involved than just that but I can't remember the exact wording. He was still capable of bleeding and what have you but even then, the wounds were evidently superficial and probably closed a lot easier than the average human being since they weren't as intensive as they would've been normally had there been no titanium.
That and he only had heightened reflexes.
Though of course, if we're going by how he managed to survive that one instances... that's probably arguable but still probably has something to do with the implants. Somehow.

But the designs is still quite similar to that of Wolverine's, isn't it? A man with metal inside of him that makes him almost unstoppable? There are definitely close parallels between the two. Brian even has a bad temper similar to James's.
I forgot to mention the bad stuff about the film... Here goes.
I generally found Brian to just be a lackluster villain in all aspects. He has a generic and unreasonable vendetta against 47, and a stupid need to get the satisfaction of being called superior to 47. Katia's weird character quirk of taking things apart when she is nervous only comes up once in the film, comes completely out of the blue, and is never brought up again.
What's funny is that midway through the film, when 47 was starting to reveal his backstory and generally become a less intimidating character, I was starting to wish that the 47 seen at the start of the film, the ruthless, very soft-spoken, utterly unfeeling, and actually quite scary badass could come back as a separate character from the 47 seen later in the film. And what do you know, 48 is revealed at the end, and it looks like he will fill in that exact role in a potential sequel. Spooky.
