Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice, otherwise known by his less commonly known but real name Betelgeuse, is the antagonist of the 1988 fantasy horror comedy film Beetlejuice. He later becomes the protagonist of the subsequent animated series and comic books based on the latter.
Beetlejuice is a powerful ghost, an obnoxious and perverted "bio-exorcist". He is considered by the recently-deceased Maitland couple to help scare away the Deetzes, the obnoxious new tenants of their house, as the Maitlands themselves fail at their own attempts to do so. However, the Maitlands, turned off by Beetlejuice's crude, offensive methods, eventually change their minds. However, Beetlejuice frees himself with help from the Deetzes' daughter, Lydia, and attempts to marry her to return to the living. It takes the combined efforts of the Maitlands and Lydia to defeat Beetlejuice and banish him to the afterlife.
