Hey guys, I know things haven't been as busy around here in the past few weeks since Fox has considered reopening EF, but I'm opening this thread up to discuss the Corona Virus a bit.
More specifically, I just want to see how everyone is coping with the virus and its aftermath, not to scare any one.
Side note, if I can offer any comforting advice or words of wisdom, do let me know.
Regards,
Z451.

Thanks for opening this up. It's been crazy to see all this go down. As of writing this, it doesn't feel real anymore. The last two weeks it did feel very real (not saying the virus isn't dangerous or real) but my day to day routine has not changed which is why I'm feeling this way.
My job is essential in that I provide support to individuals with mental and physical disabilities that live on their own. Me and my team can't not work and we can't work remotely.
I don't leave the house unless I'm going to work, which hasn't changed really. Just about everywhere I normally go is still open, the hours are just different.
No real coping going on. But I have been watching more TV than usual.
I'm curious to know how everyone else is doing.

It's crazy to say the least huh?
Personally, I haven't been "dealing" with it well per se, as I can't find too much of a reason to do anything right now.
Work wise, I'm still employed, but my workplace is closed down right now, due to the virus' outbreak in my home state of Connecticut, which speaking of, Trump is considering quarantining off along with New York and New Jersey.
That said, yeah you absolutely provide an invaluable service to the disadvantaged, and it is a shame that you can't work on that right now.
Good to see you haven't gotten "Cabin Fever" at least yet, because I'm suffering bad where I am.
How are your family and friends doing with these circumstances?

Well I hope your state doesn't go full lockdown, but in the event it does I believe you'll be okay.
I keep telling people not to stress about this. I know saying that doesn't help but we have so many way to take our mind off of this virus. Making content on EF, for example, is a good way to do that. Anything that takes your full attention like a project you've wanted to work on or just sitting down to write will help de-stress you.
I've been implementing activities at home for the people we support because they are stuck at home and many of them are more at risk due to their disabilities and age. Not easy but we do what we can.
My family is doing okay, though most of them are out of work. It's only me and my wife at our house but we both are working so we're helping out the rest of the family.

My days have been about the same. I work in law enforcement so we go to work as usual. Stocked up some non perishables. We have a good many cases in Georgia but it is what it is. Wife is a teacher so she got an extended summer vacation. I'm an introvert so my personal life is pretty much the same.
