Hey guys. I was mostly involved with the fpl community back in the day. Through the years, both iterations of the site got me through some rough times. If any volunteers are needed to help breath life into the site, I'm more than willing to help.

I hope the community can recover. It will be nice to get the old site back. Any ideas for promoting the site? We need not only old members back but some new blood.

I use to post links on twitter and facebook of my matches in hopes it could bring in more people. Maybe we spread the word on reddit? Idk. |

Reddit does seem like a good idea as a way to promote it, but maybe we could also advertise it on other sites such as Fanfiction, as that can probably get a ton of would-be and current writers to test their skills there. Also maybe we can help get some traffic in the site if we also help promote Death Battle, as doing so could help have Death Battle fans come to us as well.
Also with the discussion of Reddit, it would also be wise to make a Reddit page dedicated to CBUB when that gets revived.
Also with the possibility of Electric Ferret coming back, it could also be helpful if we try to be as accurate and and picky with character submissions as possible. Back then, we added in characters that were mostly joke or one offs like Hippies and Uncle Ben's kiler named The Burgler. Unless he happens to still be doing crime like how Joe Chill was after murdering BAtmans parents or if these hippies happen to be from another universe that does some crazy shit, they shouldn't be in it.
Maybe we should also make the website more customizable like video submissions being a thing since Source Film MAker and other programs are being used to make fight videos and still images, so maybe this could help people get more creative and enspire them.

All very valid points. We all at some point added characters to use for our arcs which I think is ok. I have some ideas for new matches already. I also think maybe if we get some official affiliation with Death Battle we could see a influx of new members. I know by looking at some old records old matches use to get more votes. Would be nice if we could get turn out like that for CBUB matches again. |
