Nightcrawler (Marvel) & Reptile (Mortal Kombat)
vs.
David Rice (Jumper) & Deadshot (DC)
Location: carnival
Tournament rules
The teams simply appear in their environments at 100% health and strength. They have no prep time before the battle. They know instinctively that they are to fight together against the team in front of them. The partners do know each other because the 1 on 1 rounds happened so they’ve been on the receiving end of each others’ attacks. All characters are in their regular mindset but are properly motivated to win within their moral boundaries. To win: -submission/incapacitation (unable to continue fighting for a ten second count) -knock out (again, ten second count) -out of ring (if on a rooftop, cliff or something) flight negates this avenue of victory -death/destruction
2nd chance round add ons:
-The characters appear, from their perspective, immediately after their last fight back at 100%. - - They have their memories of working with their partner last time but they haven’t seen any of the other teams yet. So these fights are all still first encounters.
Round 2 add ons: The characters have now seen the other round 1 fights (and 1 on 1 fights I guess too) They still appear immediately after their last fight back at 100% but now they’ll recognize their opponents a little. But there’s no actual downtime for planning. They’ll have to think fast.

Team 2 loses. Nightcrawler with his history has the advantage fighting in a carnival setting against David as well as the superior experience by quite a big gap and Deadshot will have too many people in the way of his sight when shooting. In addition Reptile can turn use his camo to disppear from sight and Deadshot would never be able to find him. In addition Reptile has superhuman physical abilities and his acid abilities. Team Reptile

You should release the official bracket of this tourny so we can see the progress, the upsets, and what storylines we can infer out of each round.

That's a good idea. I'll do that for the dreaded season 4. Which will come after the sized down series. Unless activity really picks up on the site and there's no need for 200 freaking matches in the first round. That would be nice.
