Welp, folks, here are the sad ones.
That's not how I want to begin, let me start over:
Hi. My name is Matt. You may know me as “ConfessionFPT”, shortened by laziness to “C-F-P-T”.
I don’t…enjoy telling this story. The story of characters from different genres and worlds all brought together through the villainy of Amanda Waller. It physically pains me to be the biographer of this, at times, but I trek on. Cause, it's a story that needs to be told. The suffering of this “Suicide Squad” is legendary. And the next three parts are some of the saddest of the sad. And this has already been a bummer of a story.
I mean, where do we start with this mess?
The direct actions of Waller lead to the death of Android 18’s husband, caused her daughter to get kidnapped, and now she’s on this self-imposed separation from her kid to ensure that they don’t have to worry about the Wall ever again. And now she’s fighting Composite Superman, who had been the only person in this series so far to hand her ass to her in defeat.
Blackfire has been stuck in a dimension she doesn’t belong in, because of Waller. Have you ever been homesick? Imagine pining to go to the place your where you live, the place you grew up, and knowing that place didn’t exist, from where you were currently standing. The only thing that made her feel better was being stuck here with an acquaintance, Red X, and even though he had romantic feelings for her that she didn’t return, he was the only one who understood what she was going through and was working to get back home to her reality with her, BUT HE GOT KIDNAPPED IN BETWEEN THE 13TH AND 15TH PARTS OF THIS SERIES AND IS NOW BRAINWASHED TO FIGHT AGAINST THE ONLY WOMAN HE’S EVER LOVED, JESUS WALLER – YOU MONSTER! So that was a thing that was happening, Blackfire scooped him up early in the fight, yada, yada, yada, tried to talk to him, yada, yada, yada, he’s being mind-controlled, you know the deal, the ordeal is emotionally draining on her.
AND THEN THERE’S GRINCHY-POO! He was in the first match on the lead up to this whole thing, recruited by Waller for his cartoonish strength and sneaking capability, he thought he escaped the SKWD long ago, back in Season 1, only for half the SKWD guys to show up on his doorstep, bringing the Weather Wizard with them. Did I mention that Weather Wizard blew up all of Whoville and every single who down there died? CAUSE THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED! WEATHER WIZARD WAS THERE ON WALLER’S DIME TO KILL HIM AND HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON OF HIS SPECIES WHO DIDN’T DIE! He hasn’t been the same since, jus kinda moping around cause he’s the last of a dying race. Amanda Waller decided to make him fight Judge Doom, of Who Framed Roger Rabbit fame, ya know, cause he’s developed a fool-proof way to murder cartoons.
Do you really want narratives around these, unfortunate events? (Yeah, I went there.) You want details and inner working thoughts of the fighters? Or do you want to contemplate the match-ups? There isn’t really a lot more to say, this fight started suddenly, it pretty much went right into fighting. If you want to know what lead up to this stuff read part SKWD 18 (http://electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/5565/skwd-18-old-sport) and as for the actual fight? I won’t know how these people faired until after voting is done. Thats how the visions work.
All I know is that 18 vs CS is in the air above all the other fights, Blackfire flew her and Red X to the roof above the factory, and Grinch / Doom happens inside, on the floor, in the midst of all the other fights happening simultaneously. And hey! Lets make it a best two out of three thing cause those are fun! So if 18 wins, but both of her teammates lose, then her team loses. And if Judge Doom is the only person to win on his side, then he loses too. And remember, everyone who loses in this round is dead, forever. No shenanigans, not coming back, dead to the series.
