Hellboy vs. Samus Aran; who would win in a battle in Hell itself?
Hellboy's powers:
- Superhuman durability. Hellboy's body was extremely resistant to most forms of conventional weaponry.
- Superhuman strength. Being a demon, Hellboy was very strong with his stony "Right Hand of Doom" carrying the most of his strength.
- Advanced longevity. Hellboy had lived for over a hundred years but aged at a decelerated rate.
- Occult knowledge. In his experience, Hellboy cultivated a great knowledge of the occult and most kinds of other supernatural phenomena.
- Innate multilingualism. Thanks to his demonic heritage, Hellboy was able to understand any ancient language.
Hellboy's weaknesses:
- None known.
Samus Aran's powers:
- Superhuman athleticism. Samus's lifelong training under the Chozo, combined with some Chozo DNA, made her far faster, nimbler and more athletically capable than any normal human, though her often bulky power armour could put a dampener on this.
- Metroid scent. After she was experimented on, Samus emitted a Metroid scent that made Metroids not sense her as a threat.
- Samus was proficient with all kinds of science fiction technology and weaponry, and was well suited to fighting within her numerous power armour suits.
- Indomitable will. Despite having lived through enough emotional trauma since an early age to drive a person to complete insanity, Samus was extremely determined and wilful despite this and never gave up her missions.
Samus's weaknesses:
- Bad fortune. Samus possessed quite rotten luck as she often lost all of her power ups, armour and weapons at the start of her missions mostly through no fault of her own and coincidentally encountered her most hated foe Ridley or clones of him ridiculously often.
