Title speaks for itself. A universal chat from which to share your experiences from observing or partaking in the debates on similar websites, and generally shittalk those websites a bunch.

There's quite a few websites like this. I'm fairly sure no one here really bears too much actual ill will towards similar sites, but it's pretty easy to pick apart their general flaws. For instance, a while back a bunch of ComicVine users straight up copypasta'ed a bunch of this community's match set-ups and claimed them for themselves. That leads me into the next point about what separates this site from others. We're more focused on telling good stories and debating, while other sites that I've seen are more singlemindedly dedicated to debating.
In a different thread I brought up VS Battles Wiki and their weird practices. I very nearly considered joining that site as a metaphorical side bitch because of their actually quite comprehensive and nicely organised character database, but then I noticed how flawed it is. They're way too reliant on their often quite inaccurate and arbitrary tiering system for their characters, so arguments tend to be resolved in the most boring, clinical way imaginable. E.g. "X character can't beat Y character because X is in a higher tier." And their mods seem ridiculously strict. If a match is considered a stomp, it's immediately locked, so people go to lengths to "even the odds" for the less powerful character, essentially ruining the point of that weaker character.

I think the only reason people joined Comicvine is because it use to be actually advertised in DC and Marvel Comics so maybe over they feel they have more credit then anyone else because of that. Just a guess.

I need a link to that shit. See if I see anything familiar.

See if I see anything familiar. That was a pretty long time ago now so I doubt anyone has any links but I'd imagine that others here probably can remember certain battle stories that were stolen by ComicVine users. You might want to ask around for more info on this topic 'cause I personally don't have too much recollection of this.

Been a while, guys. I missed this place. For instance, a while back a bunch of ComicVine users straight up copypasta'ed a bunch of this community's match set-ups and claimed them for themselves. It actually seemed to be mainly one guy, and he copypasta'ed them to more sites than just Comic Vine. If a match is considered a stomp, it's immediately locked, ... Heh, sounds a lot like how they do on Comic Vine, or least how users claim the mods do.
