Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America (Marvel Comics, Earth-616)
Bio: Born in Brooklyn, Steve Rogers was a small, feeble young man who intensely wanted to fight in World War II for the American Dream despite his measly size. The army was initially reluctant to accept him until Dr. Abraham Erskine decided to use Steve as the test subject for his Super Soldier Serum, a formula that he never revealed to anyone. The Serum increased all of Steve's attributes (i.e. His strength, agility, mental processing, height, etc.) to peak human levels, and his longevity was definitely advanced to beyond human levels, and he was equipped by the army with a star-spangled, indestructible vibranium shield. Steve and his sidekick Bucky went on numerous adventures and fought against many Nazi threats during the 1940s before Steve became cryogenically frozen in an ice cap for several years. He was brought out of his long sleep by the Avengers in the modern era and he joined their ranks, even becoming their leader at many different points. Always kind, patriotic and inspirational, very nearly all of the world's more modern superheroes looked up to Captain America as a living legend. In his later years, Steve went through many traumatic and almost reputation-ruining events, ranging from his assassination and subsequent resurrection after he fought against many of his closest friends during Civil War, to having the Super Soldier Serum drained from his blood which reduced him to a withered old man, to having his memories tampered with by the Cosmic Cube which made him think that he had been a conscious Hydra agent for basically his entire life.

Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Captain America (Marvel Comics, Earth-616)
Bio: Sam Wilson was a social worker who became Captain America's first major sidekick after Steve's revival from the ice caps, the Falcon. For some time, however, Sam's origin story was not quite so simple, and even he was confused as to what was the truth and what was false. Using the powerful and coveted artefact known as the Cosmic Cube, Red Skull was able to alter Wilson's memories and make him think that he was formerly a violent gangster with a troubled upbringing and dead parents before he became the Falcon, but after some time Wilson conclusively discovered that these memories were completely fake. Due to exposure to the Cosmic Cube, Wilson had a special empathic connection to all birds, and had his own sidekick in an actual falcon named Redwing. Wilson commonly used a special wing suit to enable self-propelled flight. After Steve Rogers was reduced to a weak old man when the Super Soldier Serum was drained from his system, Sam Wilson finally inherited the shield and mantle of Captain America, and even kept it after Steve regained his power.

Nico Minoru, a.k.a. Sister Grimm (Marvel Comics, Earth-616)
Bio: Nico thought that her parents were normal, that she was normal, that her life was normal, until she discovered that her parents were dark wizards and members of a group of secretive supervillains known as The Pride. Nico came into the possession of the Staff of One, inherited from her mother, and went along with the other children of The Pride's members to right their parents' wrongs. The Staff of One allowed Nico to cast practically any traditional spell she wanted but could only perform each spell once and could only do so if Nico shed her own blood. Like most of the other Runaways, Nico was greatly unnerved by the fact that she had been raised by supervillains, ones that raised her as a good Catholic at that.
vs.
The Alexandria Walker Herd (The Walking Dead (TV Series))
Bio: The Alexandria Herd was an absolutely enormous conglomeration of wandering Walkers that all got stuck in a quarry and blockaded from the rest of the world by a barricade of lorries. There were likely hundreds of thousands of Walkers in this herd, though there is no definite answer, and the surviving humans of Alexandria sought to redirect them away from their homes. Like all Walkers, the Alexandria Herd were mindless, undead drones that constantly craved flesh, were attracted to loud noises, and could only be truly killed if their brains were massively damaged.
