I never liked Brock Lesnar and I hate he ended the streak. there is so many better people who could have done it and would be on the show right now.

Brock Lesnar had to carry Taker throughout that match. Taker was already in bad health and was winded at times during the fight. Not a good match and that was because on Taker. I maintain HBK or Punk in one of there matches should have ended it and it would have been perfect. I always liked Lesnar because of his monster type character and never get tired of seeing him in the ring.
No there aren't a lot of people who could have ended it because Taker waited too long. Taker already beat everyone else and you know WWE would never risk Cena doing it. This was always Taker's decision and it was said years he originally wanted Lesnar to end it. I honest don't want Sting vs Taker. Taker can't go anymore. I would rather Sting vs Cena or someone else.

It wasn't that poor a match, it just didn't live up to the lofty expectations set by Taker's usual Wrestlemania matches. The simple fact is that Undertaker is and has for years been too old to put on a really good show like he used to. Why do you think they had him wrestle DX four years in a row, followed by CM Punk? It's because he has so much history with Shawn and HHH that they know each others' ring styles inside and out by this point and their chemistry is phenomenal. Punk is the kind of wrestler who's so good and fast-paced he can pretty much carry his opponent the entire time and still put on an excellent match, which is what he did.
Lesnar's different. His style is very hard-hitting, methodical and brawleresque - which means a match with a slow opponent is gonna be slow in general, and if the opponent is as old and fragile as Taker is at this point he can't really cut loose with what makes him great. We saw that at Mania. Lesnar was basically operating with a restricted moveset so he didn't break every bone in Taker's body. That said, you could tell he made a really genuine effort to put on a good show, and most of the more impressive stuff in the match came from Brock. The noticeable botches were Taker's, like him nailing Lesnar with a tombstone wherein Lesnar's head didn't even come close to touching the ground and not being able to lift him up for the Last Ride. I heard Lesnar wanted to do his best to make up for the travesty with Goldberg ten years ago, which I can respect.
And a lot of people have been clamoring that they wanted a younger star to do it, but I just don't see it myself. I mean, someone like Punk would've been the right choice, sure, maybe Orton. Someone who's already established themselves at the top. But someone like Bray? Great as he is, Wyatt broke into the roster less than a year ago. He's had, like, four or five high-profile feuds. He isn't ready for a career rocket like that. It'd have been like Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble this year - he's great, but it isn't the right time.
Also, another inevitable failing with getting a younger, full-time superstar to end the streak is the heat that'd come with that accomplishment. Said superstar would never EVER be able to face turn, because the fans aren't gonna get behind the man who buried Undertaker. Would you really wanna limit the future career options of Wyatt, who's, what, 26 years old like that? Lesnar, on the other hand, is pretty much already despised (if respected) by most WWE fans. It's doubtful he's ever gonna turn face. He's like 36, so he'll be around long enough to reap the rewards of ending the streak. He thrived off the fans hating him in UFC, so it won't bug him. In my honest opinion, he's one of the better guys to end it.

ROLLINS! WHY?!?

Good PPV overall and if people say it wasn't good they need to stop watching WWE. The fans that say everything is bad are just down right annoying now. I love Rollins being the one to turn heel. He was the one in Shield that would have gotten lost in the shuffle when they all go off as single stars. Now under Triple H he can shine like Ambrose and Reigns. Great move. Triple H doesn't get credit for his good creative decisions. Also what the hell are they doing to Paige? What horrible booking that is still going on. In addition I feel bad for Ziggler and Sandow. They get treated like shit for putting out great work. No wonder WWE lost money. No one gives a damn about Kane. Good lord....

Well said. Rollins is my favorite, so I almost died of a heart attack when it happened, but at least it looks like he's gonna be getting the first singles push of the three.

At Money in the Bank one of three things will happen. 1. John Cena wins (Cause we ALL know he'll get put in there). 2. Randy Orton wins and loses to Bryan at SummerSlam. 3. Bryan goes out while everyone's down, climb the ladder, and take his titles back.

If no one minds some shameless self promotion, here's my review of Battleground with 2 of my good friends. And yes, we need some work to make a better show, but we have a lot of fun so that should count for something, right? www.youtube.com/watch?v=REorS6gJCvA

I watched it and found it pretty enjoyable, always interesting seeing other people's opinions on this stuff. I wasn't big on Battleground from a booking perspective, especially because literally three quarters of the card (Rusev vs Swagger, Jericho vs Wyatt, Ambrose vs Rollins, Paige vs AJ with Miz vs Ziggler and Orton vs Reigns stemming from the Battle Royal and Fatal Snore Way respectively at the time of writing) is being repeated at Summerslam with new stipulations or what have you.
The Usos are tremendous from an in-ring perspective but they're in the same boat as the likes of Cena with me where I find their characters pretty kid-oriented and bland, and they can't really back it up with regular strong promowork like Cena does so I'm kinda bored of them. They're great workhorses no doubt and they should be commended for their ethic this year, but it's time for change. The Wyatts should have the belt, Luke Harper is as excellent now as he was on the indy circuit and Rowan's come a long way. Failing that, I wouldn't mind seeing Stardust and Goldust take it. I'd be pretty okay with Rybaxel bagging it too, Ryback's actually become a really good performer with bounds of charisma (and I hope he gets another shot at a singles push sometime soon now that he's actually ready), and Axel's always been stellar from a technical standpoint. Ryback seems to bring out that glimmer of personality in him he distinctly lacked as a singles performer, too. Still, we've seen Usos vs Rybaxel already and the latter are basically a jobber tagteam at this point in time so doubt it's gonna happen.
Actually, what I'd REALLY like is either Slater-Gator (unlike your bud I find Titus O'Neil awesome lol, and Slater's always really good) or Xavier Woods's new Big E/Kofi stable to win the belts - though I think they may have dropped that angle already. No mention of it on Raw, and on Smackdown Big E came out alone, performed as a face and got squashed (at 27 years of age and as a capable powerhouse in his own right, so that's pretty ridiculous but a tirade for another time) by Rusev.

Just a question I propose out of curiosity. I've mentioned this before but say I were to try and get into watching wrestling. Would there be a certain event I should watch to try to get into it or just 'jump' in?

Oh boy that's a tough question. TNA is horrible so don't bother with that. Honestly it depends if your looking to start with what's currently on TV regarding WWE or go back into the past. Which one?

I have a lot of time on my hands for the most part but I don't really watch TV much unless it's to catch glimpses of Toonami when it comes on at Saturday. So I guess the past? Could work from the past up til now, I guess.
