Bane or Wonder Woman; which character is better?
Trivia about Bane:
- Bane was remarkably intelligent and an excellent strategist despite having the appearance of a masked brute, with an example being that time he managed to beat the supercentenarian supervillain named Ra's Al Ghul in a game of chess despite having never played the game before; he simply read extensively on the subject of chess during his time in prison.
- Due to having spent most of his life in jail, Bane lacked a great many social skills, which was exemplified when he tried to go out on a date with a woman and blatantly told her that he only liked her because her hips were wide enough to allow her to bear children easily.
- For a time in the comics, there were some strong hints that Bane and Batman were half-brothers littered in stories, with Bane's father having been said to be a famous, wealthy doctor; however, this plot thread was never developed mainly because it sounded quite stupid.
Trivia about Wonder Woman:
- Despite being part of DC Comics' "Big Three" superhero team, consisting also of Batman and Superman, it took 75 years after her first appearance for Wonder Woman to appear as a major character in a feature film released in cinemas.
- Wonder Woman originally could not fly unaided, but like Superman she eventually achieved the ability of self-propelled flight and it soon became one of her most iconic powers.
- In recognition of her status as a feminist icon, and in spite of being a fictional character, Wonder Woman was given the title of Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls by the United Nations, which tied in with Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary.
