Jayden (Red Samurai Power Ranger) & Takeshi (Mortal Kombat)
vs.
Bane (DC) & Luke Cage (Marvel)
Location: football field
Tournament rules
The teams simply appear in their environments at 100% health and strength.
They have no prep time before the battle.
They know instinctively that they are to fight together against the team in front of them.
The partners do know each other because the 1 on 1 rounds happened so they’ve been on the receiving end of each others’ attacks.
All characters are in their regular mindset but are properly motivated to win within their moral boundaries.
To win:
-submission/incapacitation (unable to continue fighting for a ten second count)
-knock out (again, ten second count)
-out of ring (if on a rooftop, cliff or something) flight negates this avenue of victory
-death

Great fight. Takeshi with his abilities would wipe the floor with Bane. Bane has not been a threat in the New 52 and is not what he use to be. Forever Evil Arkham War was the only time we saw him as his badass self. Jayden vs Luke Cage is a excellent due to the fact both fighters have their advantages. Luke Cage has the strength to deal serious damage to the Rangers thanks to Marvel boosting his strength over the years and the durability to take the Rangers' attacks. Luke though does not have the speed and reaction to land a hit on Jayden when he does those powerful samural attacks at superhuman speed. Also don't the Samurais have another level of suit they can use like Super Samurai or something? Hard call here whether Luke can win it for his team. Plus after Takeshi wipes the floor with Bane then Luke has to take on Takeshi and Jayden who both have powerful abilities. Takeda keep in mind can teleport like Scorpion, has telekinetic abilities like his father, telepathy, and can create some type of aura to increase his attacks. I may go with Team One. They have too many variety of powerful attacks between them.

I originally thought Bane and Cage would win, but now I think Takeda and Jayden could defeat them both.

I originally thought Bane and Cage would win, but now I think Takeda and Jayden could defeat them both. I was thinking that too, but I guess it would come down to Cage and he's not going to be able to focus on Jayden with Takeshi buzzing around him like a gnat. That would leave Jayden time to build up for a super attack. |
