Jasper
A tall, muscular Homeworld Gem of the quartz caste who has a violent personality and an orange jasper embedded as her nose, her weapon being a Japanese punk-shaped crash helmet.
Having been made on Earth's Beta Kindergarten, showing contempt to those weaker than her, Jasper is a veteran warrior during the Gem war and loathed Rose Quartz for shattering Pink Diamond.
Jasper first appears in the series in "The Return", when she is assigned to accompany Peridot to Earth to serve as an enforcer against the Crystal Gems, mistaking Steven as Rose Quartz in disguise while using the "Gem destabilizer", a cattle prod-like device that immediately disrupts a Gem's physical form on contact, to destabilize Garnet before taking her unconscious components and the rest of the Crystal Gems onboard the Gem Warship with the intent to bring to the Gem Homeworld despite Peridot's insistence to inspect the Cluster first.
This proved to be Jasper's undoing in "Jail Break", resorting to have Lapis Lazuli fuse with her to become Malachite after losing her composure from being defeated by Garnet in a one-on-one evenly matched fight that destroyed the ship, but Lapis, agreeing to fuse for her on the intent to protect Steven, binds their fused state with her powers to trap Jasper on the sea floor.
Revealed in "Chille Tid" to be engaged with Lapis in a metaphysical struggle for dominance, Jasper eventually gained total control of Malachite and resurfaced in "Super Watermelon Island" as she proceeds to fight Alexandrite in the form's full abilities, but after being knocked unconscious after Alexandrite canceled her fusion with Lapis, Jasper falls into the Earth's crust during an earthquake caused by the Cluster.
Despite her assumed demise, having become addicted to mixed Gem fusion, Jasper resurfaces during "Alone at Sea" and begs Lapis to re-fuse into Malachite, only to be turned down and hurtled across the horizon by Lapis when she attempts to kill Steven.
Jasper later appears in "Gem Hunt", capturing a pair of behemoth-like corrupted Gems which Steven, Connie and Pearl were tracking, and subjugated the monsters to serve her as seen in the events of "Crack the Whip", where she broke Amethyst's self-confidence.
Eventually, her origins revealed, Jasper confronts Amethyst in "Beta" and "Earthlings", when she and Steven are taken by Peridot to the Beta Kindergarten.
Jasper overpowers Amethyst until she and Steven fused into Smoky Quartz, Jasper responding by fusing with one of the corrupted Gems before being defeated, but Jasper ends up becoming corrupted herself, as she has a mental breakdown over her defeat and unfulfilled desire to avenge Pink Diamond.
In her corrupted state, she is then neutralized by Peridot, and Amethyst bubbles and sends Jasper's gem to the temple.
