Cervantes (Soul Caliber) & Deathstroke (DC)
vs.
Nick Russell (Red Mystic Force Ranger) & Rain (Mortal Kombat)
Location: grocery store (fleeing shoppers)
Tournament rules
The teams simply appear in their environments at 100% health and strength. They have no prep time before the battle. They know instinctively that they are to fight together against the team in front of them. The partners do know each other because the 1 on 1 rounds happened so they’ve been on the receiving end of each others’ attacks. All characters are in their regular mindset but are properly motivated to win within their moral boundaries. To win: -submission/incapacitation (unable to continue fighting for a ten second count) -knock out (again, ten second count) -out of ring (if on a rooftop, cliff or something) flight negates this avenue of victory -death

Rain as a demigod would destroy Cervantes with his weather and lightening abilities. Rain can also turn himself into water and has been around a long time experience wise. Deathstroke in the New 52 with his nth metal, experience, and weapons can definitely defeat the Red Mystic Ranger. Rain will make quick work of Cervantes and then face the Power Ranger as it will then be a two one one. Rain and Power Ranger vs Deathstroke. The problem is for Team 2 is New 52 Deathstroke is superior to his Pre-Flashpoint self and can fight these odds. The Power Ranger experience wise and ability wise will get taken out the match first by Deathstroke. Then its a long fight between Slade and Rain. Slade will come out on top due to his nth metal which is more powerful in the New 52, his superior mind in battle, and having the physical battles to avoid some of Rain's powerful abilities. Keep in mind Rain has the superior experience but Deathstroke with his superior mind can out strategize him in battle. Team one wins the fight though.

Kind of amusing thinking of Cervantes as the weak link but he is here. And as much as I want to argue with you Baller is just don't have any counters. I doesn't have to go the way you described but it's perfectly likely so I'll have to vote for team 1.
