"Hey, isn't she one our enemies then?" Beezu spat, looking to the others for confirmation. Illya scowled when, instead of answering her question, the newbie pirate questioned her credibility. She had traveled with Cylan before. He knew her. And in the situation they were in now, they needed all the allies they could get. There was no time to get choosey. "She doesn't have to be," Cylan retorted. "Not unless she joins up for good." "You mean like join our crew?" Synox asked, giving the impression that he was intrigued by the proposal. "I don't think that's necess--" Illya started. "Wait. I wasn't aware that we even decided to do this race in the first place. We can get out of Apollo's reach, can't we?" Said Beezu, voicing his opinion. "We could run, sure. But you can't tell me that the idea isn't attractive. We could win and we know it," Cylan said, giving a sly smile to his crew. Illya downed the rest of her tasteless, but somehow bitter, drink and dropped it back onto the table harder than necessary. "Cylan, you can't be serious."

Illya downed the rest of her tasteless, but somehow bitter, drink and dropped it back onto the table harder than necessary. "Cylan, you can't be serious." "Oh I'm quite serious. This crew is the best in the galaxy. Damn, it ain't like we haven't done things like this before," Cylan stated as he put both arms flat on the table. "Not with some much at stake we haven't," Synox protested. "The stakes aren't the best option, yeah. But we can still play this our way, even if Apollo thinks he's got us pinned. But this isn't my decision. So before we go further... let's decide, here and now, if we're going to do this or not," Cylan announced. There was silence among the crew for a few moments, but eventually Kalla would speak up. "I say let's do this," she said. "Fine. If Kalla agrees, then so do I," Beezu said. It didn't take long for the rest of the crew to agree. And then Cylan said, "Good. Now that we're playing Apollo's game, we need a way to win. To do that, we need numbers," Cylan would point directly at Illya. "Apollo can't control whose in my crew. If you join up we double our odds. We split the assets. I represent myself and you get Synox to represent you," Cylan said.

"Well consider this my friend,"Baron said, extending his hand to Adriav for a handshake. "Let's go all in on this partner. We could win with numbers. Have an advantage, yeah? We can win big together!" Baron Orfess was visibly excited. Adriav sighed heavily and turned toward the other passenger, a furious expression on his face, "And what exactly do you have that I would want, sir? Have you even seen a chariot race before? Do you even know what a chariot is? Think before you open your mouth."

The ride would continue in silence until the taxi stopped to let Baron off at his destination. "Okay sir, your fare is-" the taxi driver was cut off. "Oh no it's okay my buddy here has me covered! Thanks anyway!" Baron shouted as he hurriedly exited the taxi.

Adriav wasn't even bothered by this. No amount was too high to get rid of that annoyance and the headache he caused. He refused to team up or make any agreements with anyone until he's spoken with Odae and figured out what's going on. Adriav continued his absent gaze out of the window while breathing a sigh of relief. After so much commotion the past few hours, the silence was welcoming.

But she was a businesswoman first and foremost. And she never took her first offer. "I'm not suited for the pirate life, Cylan. You told me that yourself. Besides, I have my own business now. I like what I do and I don't want to risk that." Illya intertwined her restless fingers and rested her elbows on the table. "If we work together, I'm not putting my assets in the pot. I keep my ship, my mines, and my jewels."

"Your assets are already in the pot, Illya. Face the facts, I'm the only competitor in this thing that you can count on. I win and I give you your assets back. You win and you do the same for us. If we align and put in the same amount of effort to win, then we get to share the bigger pot. You're not going to get that kind of deal from anyone else," Cylan explained. Cylan would lean back in his chair, signalling that he had said everything he needed to say.

After Baron was gone, the taxi took off again and within minutes Adriav had arrived at his destination: The Felucian Club. The club itself was underwhelming compared to Apollo's Palace, but it wasn't really the sort of place that wanted to stick out. The majority of the club-goers that come here use the place for backdoor deals and privacy from the ears and eyes of Apollo and other powerful crime lords. Through the window of the club, Adriav would see that Odae was waiting for him at the bar.

"Deal," Cylan said, giving a nod to Illya. Suddenly Illya felt very out of place. She didn't want to stick around and catch up, her appetite had died with Cornel, and she wanted to make an offworld call to Arkania. Her father was too old to deal with this kind of situation. It would be completely in her capable hands. "Thanks for the civility, Cylan." She stood up and pushed in her seat. "I'll contact you tomorrow about outfitting the chariots." She gave the newbies an obligatory smile, "Nice meeting you two." Illya would then make a path for the door and exit.

She was still in Mid-City and if she were to go back to Vik's, it would mean the cost of fair to get to the Upper City.

Illya looked up at the night sky and could see multiple taxis making circles around Apollo's Palace. It was no secret that he was throwing one of his elaborate parties and that his guests were from all over Taris. She hailed one.

Adraiv made his way through the crowd of people and slumped down at the bar. "You mind telling me what the hell you got me into, Odae?" cutting right to the case as he ordered himself a drink Odae gave the Zygerrian a blank, unamused stare as she sipped her drink. "Your late," she'd retort. "And once again I have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't done anything," Odae would say, a hint of frustration in her voice.
